Abstract: A semiconductor apparatus substrate according to the present invention has a substrate, a piece-substrate that has been punched out of the substrate and pushed back to the original position, an opening unit formed in a region of the substrate that substantially surrounds the piece-substrate, and a support unit installed inside the opening unit. As a result of this configuration, in transporting the semiconductor apparatus substrate after the piece-substrate has been pushed back, the piece-substrate is prevented from falling off the semiconductor apparatus substrate.
Abstract: A scanning apparatus having two transmission systems. The motor through a transmission gear-wheel with high gear-change rate and a transmission gear-wheel with a low gear-change rate transmits the motion of the carriage. One-way clutches are also used to select the transmission system and to control the direction of the carriage. Thus, the scanner has high image quality and short carriage backward time.
Abstract: A semiconductor driver circuit includes a first inverter circuit that inverts an input voltage and supplies a first inverted voltage, and a second inverter circuit that inverts the first inverted voltage and outputs a second inverted voltage. The second inverter circuit includes a first conduction type transistor, such as a PMOS transistor, and a second conduction type transistor, different from the first conduction type transistor, such as an NMOS transistor. The driver circuit further includes a substrate voltage supply circuit that supplies voltages to the substrate of the first conduction type transistor and the substrate of the second conduction type transistor, respectively, according to the second inverted voltage, and a substrate voltage control circuit that adjusts the substrate voltages applied to either or both of the first and second conduction type transistors, according to the second inverted voltage, in order to lessen the power consumption of the driver circuit.
Abstract: An electric power steering system which assists a steering operation by controlling an electric motor on the basis of a target electric current determined in accordance with a steering torque applied to an operation member and applying a driving force to a steering mechanism from the electric motor. The system includes steering torque detecting section; target electric current determining circuit for determining a target electric current in accordance with the steering torque on the basis of an assist characteristic; and motor controlling circuit for controlling the electric motor on the basis of the target electric current. The assist characteristic is offset from an initial characteristic when a motor vehicle incorporating the system is in a predetermined turning state.
Abstract: An adjustable hanging-type earphone, comprising a main unit fixed with a speaker seat, a slide unit serving to mount on the user's ear, and a spring wire for better fastening purpose of the earphone. Inside the main unit is a fixing shaft and a positioning shaft, which are inserted in the fixing hole and positioning slot on the top of the slide unit. The spring wire is attached to the top of the main unit. Thereby using the fixing shaft and fixing hole on the main unit as a pivot, and the positioning shaft and positioning slot as a freely adjustable fastening device, the position of the slide unit can be adjusted in relation to the main unit, to form an appropriate circle of tightness around the user's ear. The freely bendable spring wire is used to wind around the user's head or neck to aid the positioning purpose of the earphone on different sizes of the user's ear, to effectively upgrade its applicability and enhance wearing comfort.
Abstract: The present invention realizes on an electronic shopping system a discount service that makes use of a discount coupon. Electronic data that serves as a discount coupon comprises data for identifying a product to be discounted, data for indicating a discount amount, and an electronic signature, and the like. The discount coupon is provided to a customer computer having as the media electronic mail, an Internet site, CD-ROM and so forth. The customer computer sends the discount coupon together with data indicating the purchase product and purchase quantity when ordering a product at a merchant Internet site. The merchant computer provides a discount service to a customer when the electronic signature of the received discount coupon is valid.
Abstract: An eighteen-piece pro-tangram tiling game is composed of a board and eighteen pieces of various shapes tangrams while each piece of tangrams constituted by a plurality of isosceles right triangles. The board has a square surface whose length of each side is 6 times of that of one side of the above-mentioned isosceles right triangles. These eighteen pieces of tangrams are named after its shapes, such as A-shaped piece, B-shaped piece, C-shaped piece, D-shaped piece, F-shaped piece, G-shaped piece, H-shaped piece, I-shaped piece, J-shaped piece, K-shaped piece, M-shaped piece, Q-shaped piece, R-shaped piece, S-shaped piece, V-shaped piece, W-shaped piece, X-shaped piece, Z-shaped piece for the sake of easy memorizing solutions of puzzles. By the combination of the eighteen pieces of puzzles on the board, different shapes are formed with various kinds of solutions that are great fun and good for thinking.
Abstract: A multifunction rack for wine glasses, composed of a pair of shelf supports, a tubular frame and a glass board, to be installed to supporting walls in a liquor cabinet. Each of the shelf supports is made with one lateral slide track and one bottom slide track. Both shelf supports are positioned as two parallel lines, with their lateral slide tracks facing each other, where a glass board can be slid in. The tubular frame includes a pair of U-shape support rods and rack bases. Each pair of the U-shape support rods are placed at a fixed interval between each other and then connected by the rack bases at the ends. The tubular frame is to be slid along the bottom slide tracks of the shelf supports and fastened thereto. Inside the liquor cabinet, a set of brass bolts or a pair of support frames is fixed to the walls for holding the glass rack.
Abstract: An image capturing device has a base plate with a solid-state optical sensor mounted on the top surface. The base plate has a plurality of apertures defined therethrough. A glass frame is detachably mounted on the base plate and has an opening defined therethrough and a piece of glass mounted at the upper end of the opening. A lens retainer is detachably mounted on the glass frame and has a tubular portion with a hole in alignment with the optical sensor, a male thread formed at an outer periphery of the tubular portion; and an adjusting ring covering the tubular portion and having a female thread engaged with the male thread on the tubular portion and a lens installed therein.

Abstract: A waveguide optical semiconductor device, a method of fabricating the same and an optical device module. The semiconductor device includes a substrate, a waveguide formed on the substrate, an electrode layer formed on the waveguide, and bumpers formed on the substrate. The bumpers are disposed on both side of the waveguide, and top surfaces of the bumpers are higher than a top surface of the electrode layer. The method of fabrication includes forming semiconductor layers for waveguide on a substrate, forming another semiconductor layer on the semiconductor layers, removing the another semiconductor layer and at least a part of the semiconductor layers selectively so that grooves are formed on both side of a region where the waveguide are expected to be formed, removing the another semiconductor layer at the region, remained portions of the another semiconductor layer form bumpers.
Abstract: The present invention provides a wheel drum structure of an inner stator portion with an inbuilt driving control circuit, which has the advantages of shortest conductor length, lowest wire resistance, and immune to disturbance. An inner stator portion is divided into a stator inner ring portion, inner stator teeth, and wire groove seats. The wire groove seats are sleeved into the stator inner ring portion after stator coils are installed therein. Wire heads/tails of the stator coils are respectively soldered to a stator coil circuit board. The stator inner ring portion has a maximal hollow space. Two end cover plates cover two end faces of the stator inner ring portion. The covered stator inner ring portion having the hollow space can receive a driving control circuit. Central ends of the end cover plates forms a concentric through hole so that a supporting shaft can be tightly joined therein.
Abstract: A color correcting apparatus corrects color data according to second ambient light so that an output device outputting a color based on the color data calibrated in first specified ambient light can output almost the same color in the second light. The apparatus comprises a storing section used to store several main component data each representing a different component of light, which are combined to reproduce the second light, an input section used to input several weighing coefficients to assign weight to each of the several pieces of component data when they are combined and a correcting section used to correct color data based on correction parameters obtained using the several pieces of component data stored in the storing section and using the several weighing coefficients input through the input section.
Abstract: A cell voltage balancer for balancing the voltage of the first cell and the voltage of the second cell. The cell voltage balancer includes the first input terminal, the second input terminal and the third input terminal. The cell voltage balancer includes a transformer, the first switch and the second switch. The transformer includes a primary winding and a secondary winding. The first switch and the primary winding are serially connected between the first input terminal and the second input terminal. The second switch and the secondary winding are serially connected between the second input terminal and the third input terminal. The first switch and the second switch are switched on and off alternatively. While the first switch is on and the second switch is off, the primary winding stores energy of the first cell in the transformer. On the contrary, the secondary winding recovers energy stored in the transformer into the second cell.

Abstract: An automobile luminous windshield wiper comprising a windshield wiper with a luminous body; the luminous body consists of a clamp and a base, an illuminator is inside of the base. A dynamic curve stripe light is generated when the windshield wiper is turned on to remind the drivers of opposite direction.
Abstract: An optical disc has a data disc, a transparent disc to enclose and protect the data disc and an annular control chip securely attached to the clamping area of the transparent disc. The control chip records the data area allocation. Consequently, the data area allocation written in the control chip will not be copied by conventional copying techniques. An infringing disc will not work even when all of the data files on the data disc are completely copied. Therefore, a good security is provided, and infringement can be avoided. In addition, the optical disc can work as a smart card after bonding with a chip on it. The function of the optical disc can be improved.
Abstract: A bottle cap with improved structure includes a special cap that covers the container and prevents the liquid inside from spills. A hollow arch is mounted on the top of the cap with a hole (i.e., mouth of the container) and a rectangle slot cut out of the top thereof. An arched sliding board is arranged just below the rectangle slot. The sliding board shifts along the two side of the rectangle slot to determine the size of the hole opened.
Abstract: This invention relates to a structural combination of a tool box with a fuel tank, mainly comprising a tool box structure and a fuel tank structure, a simple and robust correlative combination for consolidated storage. The tool box stands independently in opening and closing operation, which is easy for the operator to take off and put back the tool, and the fuel tank permits to be separated from the combination for independent use.
Abstract: A two screw double-stroke and screw differential-motion mechanism is applied in a standard mechanical interface. The two mechanisms are utilized for the correlation of transmission between screws and nuts and the screw differential-motion, so as to achieve more efficient positioning and clamp retrieval and placement.
