Abstract: A nitride semiconductor laser device is formed by growing a group III nitride semiconductor multilayer structure on a substrate. The group III nitride semiconductor multilayer structure has a laser resonator including an n-type semiconductor layer, a p-type semiconductor layer and a light emitting layer held between the n-type semiconductor layer and the p-type semiconductor layer. The laser resonator is arranged to be offset from the center with respect to a device width direction orthogonal to a resonator direction toward one side edge of the device. A wire bonding region having a width of not less than twice the diameter of an electrode wire to be bonded to the device is formed between the laser resonator and the other side edge of the device.

Abstract: An LED lamp having a heat-dissipating mechanism has a top casing, a heat-conducting tube and a bottom casing. The top casing has a foundation board, a lamp holder and multiple fins. The foundation board has a first tube guide formed around and protruding downwardly from a perimeter of the foundation board and is made of a metal material. The lamp holder is hollow and centrally mounted through the top casing, and has a second tube guide formed on a bottom thereof. The fins are radially formed on a top of the foundation board and around the lamp holder. The heat-conducting tube is mounted against one side of the first tube guide and within the second tube guide. The bottom casing is securely combined with the top casing. Besides the fins, the heat-conducting tube enlarges the contact area with the top casing, thereby enhancing the heat-dissipating efficiency.
Abstract: A wireless communications connection control method that enables flexible reconstruction of a wireless communications network system structure. The wireless communications connection control method comprising the steps of retaining in advance a node registration table in which the inter-node distance and node types are associated with each node; issuing a joining notification, together with the inter-node distance, in response to when a new node joins the wireless communications system; refreshing the node registration table according to the joining notification, determining whether it is necessary to change the node type based on the inter-node distance stored in the node registration table, and changing the node type stored in the node registration table when it is determined that the type needs to be refreshed.
Abstract: A light-guide type light-emitting device includes a heat-dissipating unit, a conductive unit, a light-emitting unit and a light-guiding unit. The heat-dissipating unit includes at least one heat-dissipating body. The conductive unit is disposed on a first side of the heat-dissipating body. The light-emitting unit is disposed on a second side of the heat-dissipating body, and the light-emitting unit includes a plurality of light-emitting elements electrically connected to the conductive unit. The light-guiding unit includes at least one light-guiding element disposed on the light-emitting unit for receiving light beams generated by the light-emitting unit, and the light-guiding element has a plurality of micro light-guiding structures formed on the outer surface thereof. Hence, the instant disclosure can not only mate the light-emitting unit with the light-guiding unit to solve glaring problem as a result of using LED, but also provides a wider light-emitting range.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a shopping bag with a detachable wheel chassis, comprising a bag body having bag handles and a receiving portion disposed on its bottom, and a two-wheel chassis detachably configured to bear and hold the bag body thereon. The chassis is made of a piece of resilient metal wire and has a configuration having a downwardly extended supporting portion, two oppositely and inwardly inserting portions adapted to be received in the receiving portion of the bag body, and two end portions on which the two wheels are rotatably mounted. The shopping bag of the invention is convenient to use, low in cost, simple in structure, and also finds a wide range of applications. The invention also provides a two-wheel chassis detachably configured to bear and hold an article having a relatively flat bottom and a receiving portion on the flat bottom.
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is capable of printing a position-coding pattern. A first print engine prints a position-coding pattern and holds a first developer material therein. A plurality of second print engines each print a corresponding image in accordance with print data, the image being different from the position-coding pattern, each of the second print engines holding a corresponding second developer material therein. The first developer material is charged to a first average amount of charge and has a first distribution of amount of charge. The second developer material is charged to a second average amount of charge and has a second distribution of amount of charge, such that the first average amount of charge is larger than the second average amount of charge, and that the first distribution of amount of charge has a smaller standard deviation than the second distribution of amount of charge.
Abstract: This invention discloses a multifunctional electric iron, comprising: a steam brush and a base unit. Said steam brush can be used as a garment steamer by connecting to a power supply or a boiler, and said steam brush also can be used as an ordinary steam iron by assembling with the base unit.
Abstract: An apparatus for forming electrode heads includes a first and second lost-wax areas; a first and second electrode head forming areas; and a first, second and third transfer units. The first transfer unit rotates an electrode plate group from a horizontal to a vertical orientation. The second transfer unit holds the electrode plate group oriented vertically, and delivers it to be dipped in wax in the first lost-wax area, and then delivers the wax dipped electrode plate group to the first electrode head forming area to form one electrode head on one end thereof. The third transfer unit rotates the electrode plate group with the first electrode head, and delivers it to be dipped in wax in the second lost-wax area, and then delivers the wax dipped electrode plate group with the first electrode head to the second electrode head forming area to form another electrode head on thereof.
Abstract: An air pump has a one-piece cylinder and a piston assembly. The one-piece cylinder has a body, a cap, a pedal and a base formed together by injection molding and welding process. The piston assembly is mounted in the one-piece cylinder and has a rod, a handle and a piston. The one-piece cylinder is structurally firm and provides excellent hermetic characteristics.

Abstract: Provided is a multiple distributed feedback laser device which includes a first distributed feedback region, a modulation region, a second distributed feedback region, and an amplification region. An active layer is disposed on the substrate of the first distributed feedback region, the modulation region, the second distributed feedback region, and the amplification region. A first diffraction grating is disposed in the first distributed feedback region to be coupled to the active layer in the first distributed feedback region. A second diffraction grating is disposed in the second distributed feedback region to be coupled to the active layer in the second distributed feedback region. The multiple distributed feedback laser device further includes a first micro heater configured to supply heat to the first diffraction grating and a second micro heater configured to supply heat to the second diffraction grating.

Abstract: A method for packaging the sensor units is shown below. First step is providing a substrate, and each sensor area on the substrate is partitioned into two individual circuit areas. An emitter and a detector are installed on the two circuit areas respectively. Step two is forming a first packaging structure to cover the two circuit areas, the emitter and the detector by a mold. Next step is cutting the first packaging structure to form cut groove between and around the emitter and the detector. Next step is forming a second packaging structure in the cut grooves by the same mold. At last, the panel of sensor units is diced and separated as individual sensor units. As above-mentioned, the second packaging structure is used for isolating the signals of the emitter and the detector.
Abstract: An optical code division multiplexing signal generator provided with an optical pulse light source, a first encoder to an Nth encoder, a first optical modulator to an Nth optical modulator, and a first optical circulator to an Nth optical circulator. The first optical circulator inputs an input optical pulse train to a first encoder, and inputs a first encoded optical pulse train output by Bragg reflection from the first encoder to the first optical modulator. The kth optical circulator inputs an input (k?1)th optical pulse train which has passed through the (k?1)th encoder to a kth encoder, and inputs a kth encoded optical pulse train output by Bragg reflection from the kth encoder to the kth optical modulator. Herein k takes all integers from 2 to N, and N is a positive integer of 2 or more.
Abstract: Provided are a semiconductor optical amplifier and an optical signal processing method using the same. The reflective semiconductor optical amplifier includes: an optical signal amplification region operating to allow a downward optical signal incident from the external to obtain a gain; and an optical signal modulation region connected to the optical signal amplification region and generating a modulated optical signal. The downward optical signal is amplified through a cross gain modulation using the modulated optical signal and is outputted as an upward optical signal.

Abstract: A leadership support system includes a leader terminal and plural member terminals. The member terminals, according to either the relay of communication information not addressed thereto or the reception of communication information addressed thereto, send back a response to the appropriate communication information. The leader terminal determines, based on the times of relaying the communication information, whether or not the member terminal that transmitted the communication information is in danger of isolation. When the leader terminal determines the member terminal in danger of isolation, it outputs a warning signal indicative of a ranger of isolation to that member terminal.
Abstract: A method of controlling a ballast for a high intensity discharge (HID) lamp and related system. The method includes setting initial operating parameters of the ballast to turn on the HID lamp, generating starting transient electric characteristic values of the HID lamp by measuring actual electric parameters at a predetermined time during a transient process after the HID lamp is turned on, searching stored data for a rated power corresponding to the starting transient electric characteristic value range of the HID lamp after determining that the starting transient electric characteristic value is within stored starting transient electric characteristic value ranges of the HID lamp, and searching the stored data for a corresponding ballast operating parameter, to allow the HID lamp to operate in the corresponding rated power, and realize that a single ballast can be adapted to and control the HID lamps to operable in their respective specific rated power.
