  • Patent number: 8345430
Abstract: An IC card includes a frame of a rectangular border-shape, a printed circuit board, and one pair of shells. The printed circuit board is disposed on an interior portion of the frame and equips an electronic component. The one pair of shells cover the area surrounded by the frame with both faces of the shells, and constitute an outer shell of the IC card. One of the shells has a plurality of intermittent bent pieces on a periphery thereof. The bent pieces face an edge portion of the frame. The bent pieces establish one pair of hook pieces which protrude from a plate thickness surface (a flat side) on a front end portion thereof. Ultrasonic vibration is applied to a front end portion of the bent pieces while an edge portion of the frame is subjected to pressure, joining the bent pieces to the frame.

  • Patent number: 8341618
Abstract: Software is updated easily and efficiently and in the same time, thereby reducing the load imposed on the user side, the software vendor side and the center computer side. When the user computer sends user ID to the center computer, the center computer have the user computer obtain URL of the module-storing region that corresponds to the user ID and stores the modules that the user should obtain. The user computer accesses to the module storing portion using the URL, obtains a list of modules, compares the list to the modules that are currently installed in itself and judges whether it is necessary to obtain modules. When judged that modules are needed to be obtained, the user computer accesses to the module-storing region again and obtains the module.

  • Patent number: 8341351
Abstract: A data reception system includes a data acquisition unit acquiring data from a predetermined transmission path, an access control unit storing the data acquired by the data acquisition unit in a predetermined storage area, and a plurality of storage areas. The plurality of storage areas includes a first storage area and a second storage area having a greater storable capacity and a lower storing speed compared to the first storage area. The access control unit further includes a transfer unit. The access control unit determines whether the total amount of data stored in the first storage area is in the excess of a predetermined threshold or not and causes a transfer unit to transfer the data acquired by the data acquisition unit to the second storage area to store the data in the second storage area when the total amount is in the excess of the threshold.
