  • Patent number: 7289884
Abstract: According to the hand control system (2), the position and posture of a palm (10) are controlled such that the object reference point (Pw) and the hand reference point (Ph) come close to each other and such that the i-th object reference vector (?wi) and the i-th hand reference vector (?hi) come close to each other. During the controlling process of the position and posture of the palm, the operation of a specified finger mechanism is controlled such that the bending posture of the specified finger mechanism gradually changes (for example, such that the degree of bending gradually increases). This ensures accurate grasping of an object of an arbitrary shape.

  • Patent number: 7278954
Abstract: A generated torque control method for a leg body exercise assistive apparatus enabling a person to make a leg motion in such a feeling that the person is not wearing the leg body exercise assistive apparatus as much as possible by reducing the weight of the leg body exercise assistive apparatus attached to the person acting on the person. On the assumption that a person (A) not wearing the assistive apparatus (1) is making the same motion as a leg motion of the person (A) wearing the leg body exercise assistive apparatus (1) during the leg motion of the person (A), an estimation is made for a person-side joint moment to be generated in each joint of the leg of the person (A), and on the assumption that the assistive apparatus (1) is independently making the same motion as the leg motion, an estimation is made for an apparatus-side joint moment to be generated in the joint regions (4), (6), and (10) of the leg sections of the assistive apparatus (1).

  • Patent number: 7279181
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of producing particles from solution-in-supercritical fluid or compressed gas emulsions. In accordance with the method of the invention, a solution that includes a solute dissolved in a solvent is contacted with supercritical fluid or compressed gas to form a solution-in-supercritical fluid or compressed gas emulsion. The emulsion is sprayed through an orifice to create spray droplets. The supercritical fluid or compressed gas and the solvent are removed from the spray droplets resulting in the formation of particles that include the solute. In one embodiment of the invention, the solvent is removed from the spray droplets by lyophilization. In another embodiment of the invention, the solvent is removed from the spray droplets by evaporation.

  • Patent number: 7275725
Abstract: When a vacuum-suction tool stand (1) is to be stuck to a table (2), a valve (16) is rotated to a position so that a knob (163) comes to the right side thereof viewed from the front to establish communication between an air suction hole (132) and a cavity (131). Then, by sucking the air within the cavity (131) through the air suction hole (132) using a suction pump (not shown) to make the inside of the cavity (131) close to a vacuum state, thereby the vacuum-suction tool stand (1) is stuck to the table (2). To release suction, the knob (163) of the valve (16) is rotated clockwise by 90 degrees. Then, the communication between an air release hole (15) and the cavity (131) is established and the air is supplied to the cavity (131) in a substantially vacuum state, and thus the vacuum-suction state is released.
