  • Patent number: 8316388
Abstract: The invention allows for restriction of radial and axial movements of a shaft by a simple structure. A shaft supporting structure includes a base (3) provided with a bearing (7), and a first shaft (23) arranged at the bearing (7). The shaft supporting structure further includes a helical torsion spring (4) fitted on the first shaft (23). The base (3) includes a first engagement hole (31a), and a hooked section (74) engaging with first and second arm sections (41, 42) of the helical torsion spring (4), respectively. The helical torsion spring (4) presses the first shaft (23) onto the bearing (7) in a radial direction of the shaft by an elastic force generated by engagement between the first arm section (41) and the first engagement hole (31a) of the base (3), and engagement between the second arm section (42) and the hooked section (74) of the base (3). A portion of the second arm section (42) faces an axial end face of the first shaft (23).

  • Patent number: 8312727
Abstract: Fuel injector assemblies with frictionally damped fuel supply members, including fuel feed strips. More particularly, the invention provides friction dampers and/or assemblies that frictionally damp movement of fuel supply members in at least one direction as a function of frequency. Accordingly, low frequency vibration can be undamped, while vibration above a prescribed frequency can be damped. Some of the embodiments provide a friction damper that is easily serviceable, and can be installed after final assembly of a fuel injector. Aspects of the invention are applicable to other components of fuel injectors and gas turbine engines in addition to fuel supply members.

  • Patent number: 8314872
Abstract: A mirror 1a transmits a cyan (Cy) ray and reflects an R ray, and a mirror 1d transmits a yellow (Ye) ray and reflects a B ray. The mirrors 1a and 1d are arranged inside a light-transmitting member 3 and are also tilted so that the light reflected from each of them is further reflected from the interface between the light-transmitting member 3 and the air and then incident on an adjacent photosensitive cell. Photosensitive cells 2a and 2d receive the light rays that have been transmitted through the mirrors 1a and 1d, respectively. No mirrors are arranged over photosensitive cells 2b and 2c. The photosensitive cell 2b receives directly incident light and the light ray reflected from the mirror 1a. The photosensitive cell 2c receives the directly incident light and the light ray reflected from the mirror 1d. Color information is obtained by making computations on the output signals of the respective photosensitive cells.

  • Patent number: 8312124
Abstract: The present invention provides a fixed form data managing server apparatus that automatically checks whether the version of the fixed form data included in document data created on a PC is the latest version and that transmits the check result to the PC. Prior to printing of the created document data by an image forming apparatus, the PC transmits the version information of the fixed form data included in the document data through the printing server apparatus. The fixed form data managing server apparatus that has received the version information determines whether the version information is the latest version information and, when the apparatus determines that the version information is not the latest one, transmits control information to stop the printing of the document data to the PC.

  • Patent number: 8308157
Abstract: A conveying device includes a switching gate, a handle, and a link mechanism. The switching gate switches the direction in which a sheet of paper is conveyed along a conveying path. Normally, the weight of the switching gate keeps a front end portion of the gate engaging with a recess. A user grips the handle when he/she opens the conveying device from an apparatus. The user's grip on the handle makes the link mechanism disengage the gate portion from the recess. The link mechanism includes a protrusion protruding toward the apparatus and having a slope, which tapers off. When the conveying device closes into the apparatus, compressive contact of the protrusion slope with a wall of the apparatus disengages the gate portion from the recess.
