Abstract: The present invention provides a unique method of manufacturing an inexpensive, hermetically sealed ammunition container by the use of a conventional canning operation where the ammunition is inserted into cans that have been enamel coated inside and out and placed between resilient cushioning plugs and put into a vacuum chamber. Optionally, all of the air, atmosphere/oxygen and atmospheric moisture that may be present in the can is removed and replaced with an inert gas before the can is sealed. This packaging system fulfills the need for a method of storing ammunition over an extended period of time, and provides a convenient, air tight and compact package for ammunition and related components.
Abstract: The present application describes a combination exercise-massage unit consisting of a base platform with enclosed weight enclosure at one end and a pivoting bed assembly at the other. The bed assembly can easily be tipped having the effect of increasing the weight lifted, reducing the pressure of the rollers on the back or relieving tension by elevating the head. A continuous belt covers a plurality of massage rollers that have replaceable outer sleeves with a variety of different configurations and softness. There is a translating framework that has elevated head rest and two shoulder supports on either side. The person can hold the upright handles or the side support bars with the padded side members of the translating framework. The translating framework can be adjusted in length to accommodate the height of the person using the unit.
Abstract: An exemplary method of treating nitrogen-contaminated wastewaters, especially those with high ammonia concentrations, according to the invention includes the steps of ammonia degassing and recapture, and of nutrient assimilation with microalgae. Organic nitrogen, organic carbon, phosphorus, heavy metals and other compounds may also be removed in different embodiments of the invention. Examples of applicable wastewaters include landfill leachate, municipal solid waste anaerobic digester effluent, agricultural anaerobic digester effluent, municipal wastewaters, agricultural wastewaters, and other similarly contaminated wastewaters.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a Raised Axle and Suspension System that consists of a unique design that is intended to be used on a wide variety of front wheel drive vehicles and trailers by raising the axle overarm to an overhead position. This is accomplished by having the wheels on stub axles attached to a pivoting wheel support castings that are attached to frame attachment members. Angular support members are fixably attached to the frame attachment members and suspension support members that connect to the axle overarm. The axle overarm extends from the left side of the vehicle to the right side. The suspension springs extend between the suspension base members that are pivotally connected to the wheel support castings and the suspension support members along with conventional shock absorbers creating a spring cushioning system.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an eyeglass device that has manually variable prisms to correct strabismus; that is, double vision. The variable prism eyeglasses consist of an eyeglass frame that holds two primary rings in position and provides baseline reference points for alignment. Prism lenses and corrective lenses fit inside the primary rings and allow the two prism lenses of each primary ring to rotate independently and to hold the corrective lens fixed in place relative to the primary rings. Detent channels on the upper surface and lower surface of the primary rings are the means by which the prisms are adjusted. Each prism lens is moved and positioned via a prism lens pin located in the base of each prism lens. The prism lens pins fit into the detents in the detent channels of the primary ring. The detent selected determines the amount of corrective power the prisms will produce.
Abstract: This application provides a mechanism for the attachment of a tire to a unique style of car rim commonly used on, but not limited to model cars. The device consists of a base plate with a spindle for locating the tire and rim. A spring loaded spreader arm pulls the tire away from the rim creating a cavity where adhesive is placed on an upper and lower rib on the surface of the rim and on an upper and lower flat mounting surface or mating groove on the internal surface of the tire as the tire is rotated manually or rotated by means of a variable speed motor housed within the unit. The device provides a means for the process to be accomplished on both inside and outside edges of the tire and wheel rim assembly if desired.
Abstract: The present application is directed to a manual or automatic flush threshold door seal system used on folding exterior doors along with an alternate embodiment for conventional exterior entryway doors that will not impede the passage of a wheelchair. A flexible weather seal can be put in a retracted or down position within an aluminum extrusion imbedded within the threshold providing a flush access surface and may be raised up into the upright position providing an adequate weather seal.
Abstract: The present application is directed to a knife locker and sanitizing system consisting of a unique combination of one or more knife storage lockers that can individually be locked with a pad lock by the person using that set of knives. The incorporation of a locking bar that is attached to the knife locker by the means of a locking fixture and having a separate padlock facilitates a means where by a knife maintenance employee can open all the locker doors at one time to service the knives. Adjacent to the knife lockers will be located a sanitizing chamber where the knife blades and handles along with other food processing implements can be immersed in a sanitizing liquid. An alternate embodiment of the sanitizing chamber will incorporate ultraviolet lights on either side of the unit for the sanitizing process, enabling the ultraviolet light to not only disinfect the implement blades, but also the handles.
