Abstract: A scalable fish rearing raceway system is provided, incorporating a fish containment structure having two semi-circular end sections, and two or more parallel fish raceways, surrounding a central zone for housing water treatment systems and a secondary fish crop. Heavy particulates are eliminated from the main fish rearing channels by use of conical areas located at either end of the parallel elongated raceways. Continuous removal of dead or dying fish from the raceway is accomplished by means of a floating mortality catcher consisting of a screened ramp at the surface of the cones which continuously collect moribund and dead fish. Grading bars separate and move fish underwater to an adjacent raceway through a common fish transfer channel. This larger scalable fish production system substantially reduces the direct labor and capital costs associated with the production of fish as compared with conventional circular fish rearing tanks.

Abstract: A guard enhancing multiple site, readily scalable security system combines human-based security personnel with a diverse array of fixed and movable electronic security enhancing components, and numerous modes of communications between said components, including hard wired and wireless applications. The security related components include event sensors, identification tracking for people and things, access control devices, security guard wearable computers and hand held computers as well as embedded data processing control and communications systems, with all sensors and sites capable of being monitored by a designated headquarters through checkpoint data processing components and base station components.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a pneumatically actuated swing ride that has rigid swing members rotating about a shaft in a pendulum style of swinging ride. The ride operates with rigid swing members raising one or more riders in a seat platform or gondola up and then accelerates them down through an arc in the pendulum style of swinging movement. The controlled upward movement, a brief delay, and the accelerated downward movement produce weightlessness in the ride that is unmatched in the industry. The weightless effect is incurred at both ends of the arc and every time the cycle is made. By using a pneumatic cylinder, air is used as an air cushion both accelerating and decelerating the ride, giving complete control of the ride.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for placing and later determining the distance between transitions from a first logical state to a second logical state stored on a medium, for example, a document. This determination is used to precisely characterize the information pattern in order to authenticate the information and the medium on which the information is stored. The invention uses a reader having a leading and trailing read apparatus, which allow information to be read simultaneously from two or more locations spaced a known distance apart. The distance between the center lines of each read apparatus is preferably an odd integer multiple of one half the distance between logical clock transitions. The distance between a first transition at the leading read apparatus and a next transition at the trailing read apparatus is used as a reference, hence given the term the “Reference Value”. The Reference Value is compared with the distance between the first transition and a second transition on the medium.
Abstract: A new and improved formulation and method for making same, for a broad spectrum antimicrobial treatment for bacterial and viral infections in cattle, horses, pigs, sheep and other domestic and non-domestic animals. More particularly, the present invention relates to a treatment which enables rapid relief of symptoms in an affected animal with a mortality of less than 1 percent by providing trace organic minerals in microgram quantities which act as nutrients for the animal. The treatment provides further nutritional requirements in the form of vitamin A, folic acid and vitamin D3 supplements, cobalt amino acid chelates and dried kelp, a source of minerals, amino acids, simple and complex carbohydrates, iodine and fiber. In addition, a bacterial innoculum consisting of Acidophilus species is introduced which would inhibit growth of pathogenic or opportunistic species of bacteria by competition for nutrients as well as providing for required vitamins as a by-product of metabolism.
