  • Patent number: 6398508
Abstract: A control switch assembly for an air pump has a unidirectional valve mounted inside a port that is mounted together with a contact device on an actuation device. The actuation device has an extension slidably received in the actuation device and controllably connected to a knob. With the movement of the extension, a switch inside the contact device is able to selectively make an electrical connection and an actuating pin of the unidirectional valve is able to selectively open an airway inside the port. When the electrical connection of the switch is disconnected and the airway is opened by the movement of the actuating pin, the pressure above a diaphragm and inside the compressor is able to be released from the airway of the port so as to smooth the actuation of the compressor.

  • Patent number: 6392405
Abstract: A sensor ring is coaxially mounted on a free end portion of a rotating element for detecting rotations of the rotating element. The free end portion defines an axially extending cylindrical surface and a radially extending stop surface for mounting of the sensor ring. The sensor ring has a cylindrical portion which defines a cylindrical center opening to be press fitted over the axially extending cylindrical surface of the free end portion of the rotating element. The sensor ring also has a flange portion which extends diagonally radially outward from one end periphery of the cylindrical portion such that the flange portion abuts on the stop surface of the free end portion of the rotating element when the sensor ring is completely mounted on the rotating element. The diagonally extending flange portion can avoid a connection curvature between the axial and radial surfaces of the free end portion of the rotating element during the press fitting operation.

  • Patent number: 6390298
Abstract: An organizer (10) for a plurality of sets of fastener sockets (S) includes a receptacle (12) rotatable relative to a shroud (44) in the preferred form of an arcuate wall concentric to the axis (A) of the receptacle (12). The receptacle (12) is rotatable to a presentation position where a plurality of holders (16) are aligned with an opening (45) in the shroud (44). The sockets (S) are slideably received in a first direction along linear paths in the holders (16) without an interfitting relation and in the preferred form in chambers formed in the receptacle (12). Each of the side walls (18) of the chambers includes inner ends (22) which are located at different spacings from the axis (A) so that the individual sockets (S) have an equal extent from the axis (A) and includes outer ends (20). Some of the chambers are located in raised areas (15) so that the outer ends (20) have different spacing than the outer ends (20) of other chambers according to the particular sockets (S) being received in the chamber.
