Abstract: An apparatus that accurately measures rope, wire, tubing and other materials is herein disclosed. A variety of different-sized models would possess different sized openings. One model with a one-inch opening would be used to measure small wire and cable. Another model with approximately a 3-inch opening would be used for larger electrical cables, rope, tubing and the like. An even large model would be available for measuring ductwork, hoses, and other large diameter material. As the material is pulled through the opening, an optical sensor, similar to that used on an optical computer mouse, accurately measures the material to the fraction of an inch. A mechanical sensor, utilizing a guide wheel is also envisioned. The length is displayed on a digital readout on the perimeter of the invention that is provided with a power button, reset button and the like.
Abstract: A convertible cover for pontoon boats comprises a fabric or cloth cover attached to a set of runners. The invention utilizes a track system on both sides of the boat with round runners. Sliding supports with three glide wheels each ride along these runners and match with an equal runner on the opposite side of the boat. The runners glide along a track guide system mounted onto the handrails of the pontoon boat. The cover glides along the track when manipulated by the user and enables the user to effectively and quickly cover the pontoon boat during storage or other times of inactivity. To remove the cover, it is simply pushed backwards where all supports and the tarp are stored at the rear. To deploy, it is simply pulled by a strap to completely and automatically cover the whole boat.
Abstract: The present invention comprises an apparatus and method for accurately and safely cutting residential siding members. A specialized tool and saw guide system comprise two hingedly connected plates to securely hold and balance the siding member during the cutting process, as well as resilient saw guides for guiding a saw blade. The device allows for both a straight edge cut and an angled cut to match a conventional roof pitch. Additional embodiments are anticipated to provide for various angled cuts.
Abstract: The invention as presently conceived discloses a device for an environmentally safe storage and organization of multiple funnels, especially, but not limited to, those funnels conventionally used in servicing motor vehicles. The new and novel device's industrial design resembles an empty five-gallon bucket with a detachable lid having multiple openings cut into the lid to accept the work funnels for environmental safe draining in an upright position, storage and proper organization. Each opening leads to a dedicated fluid collection device. After use, the remaining fluids in the funnels are allowed to collect via gravity within fluid collection device within the sealed bucket-like container.
Abstract: A license plate frame design for providing a thin visually appealing motor vehicle accessory that illuminates advertising text and or a design comprises recessed strip lighting illuminating through recessed color tinted transparent material and through the said advertising test and or said design held or sealed into place by means of a backing plate with a direct current inverter attached by means of lead wires to said motor vehicles controllable direct current power source and to said strip lighting by means of lead wires. Providing the motor vehicle operator to transmit direct current from said motor vehicle when desired, to the said license plate frame to add visual appeal by illuminating their said advertisement and or said design. Thus a very thin and visually appealing motor vehicle accessory is provided.
Abstract: An improved fly swatter with an elongated handle portion and insect engaging section having means for collecting swatted insects. A plastic mesh swatting element is detachably affixed to the elongate handle and a replaceable stack of individually disposed adhesive pads comprises the opposite side of the swatting element. This eliminates the distasteful practice of hand collection of killed insects.
Abstract: A system and method by which light strings can be quickly attached to and detached from the exterior of buildings is herein disclosed. A specialized hook is mounted onto a gutter, roofline, window, or other such similar position. The device consists of an elongated pole with an open-ended, frusto-conical end piece, threadably attached thereto. Nestled within the open-ended end piece is a serpentine-shaped hook for grasping light strings and maneuvering them onto the specialized hook.
Abstract: A method and system for a ceiling fan with an integral water mister apparatus, particularly for outdoor use, includes a conventional ceiling fan having a multi-speed motor, forward and reverse directional capabilities and a plurality of rotating blades in a variety of diameter sizes. A series of water dispensing ports are directly above the blades toward the outer perimeter that selectably dispense a fine water mist. The mist is obtained by connecting ?? tubing to an available standard water supply and having said tubing conduct the water through a six by two inch, five micron, polyphosphate filter. The filtered water then travels through the tubing attached to the apparatus to the misting dispensing nozzles. The fine mist will evaporate quickly in hot weather producing a cooling effect without significantly wetting surrounding objects. The air circulation provided by the fan blades enhances the distribution of the mist and the cooling effect.
