  • Patent number: 6817242
Abstract: A device indicates the level of concrete within the hopper of a concrete pump and prevent accidental overflow and spills. The concrete level indicator device includes an elongate post with an enlarge float fixed to the bottom end and a guide sleeve for allowing vertical telescoping movement of the post as the concrete level in this hopper changes. A retaining collar attaches to a screen in the hopper of the pump and surrounds the guide sleeve for limiting swinging movement of the post and guide sleeve, thereby maintaining the device in a vertical position within the hopper with the float resting on the concrete. As concrete is filled into the hopper, the post rises through the guide sleeve until a visual indicator (e.g. a red band) on the top end of the post is visibly exposed above the guide sleeve, thereby alerting the operator to interrupt the discharge of concrete being filled in the hopper until the concrete level drops and the visible indicator on the post is no longer visible.

  • Patent number: 6817134
Abstract: A rapid action bullet reloading device for use in conjunction with any firearm utilizing a removable magazine is operable by either hand of the user with minimal effort. The device includes a sleeve, defining a main body, a lever hinged to the sleeve and a cam member operatively engaged with the lever. The sleeve is structured and disposed to receive the magazine in a releasably locked and registered position for the bullet reloading operation. The device is operated by squeezing the lever towards the sleeve body with one hand which rotates the cam member about a cam axis in a highly leveraged action. Rotation of the cam causes an integral finger extending from the cam member to engage and depress a properly positioned bullet into the magazine. A spring urges the cam member back to the relaxed position upon each release of the lever, whereupon a next successive bullet can be placed in registered position for loading.

  • Patent number: 6810773
Abstract: An open-end ratchet wrench includes a housing defining a handle and a head with an open mouth for receiving first and second elements of a work piece therein. A fixed jaw member on the wrench engages the first element and a moving jaw member engages the second element of the work piece. A squeeze lever is operable to rotate the moving jaw member about a center axis of rotation selectively in either a clockwise or counterclockwise movement, to thereby tighten or loosen the second element relative to the first element. An engagement assembly operates the moving jaw member between an operable position in engagement with the work piece and a retracted position, wherein the jaw member moves away from the center axis of rotation to back off and release from operative engagement with the second element, thereby allowing removal of the wrench from the work piece.

  • Patent number: 6739401
Abstract: A hole cutting device for forming and relocating holes in the ground includes a hollow cylindrical cutting head with a lower cutting edge surrounding an open bottom, a tubular shaft extending upwardly from the cylindrical head and a handle portion on an upper end of the shaft. Upon forcing the cutting head downwardly into the ground, a turf and soil plug fills the interior of the head. An air delivery system, operable at the handle portion, injects a charge of air at the bottom of the soil plug upon removal from the ground, thereby eliminating vacuum suction and allowing the soil plug to be removed intact without breaking or disintegrating. Once the cutting head is removed from the formed hole, a hinged lever on the shaft forces a push plate within the cutting head downwardly towards the open end to eject the plug therefrom. If desired, the plug may be deposited into a previously formed hole.
