  • Patent number: 5213619
Abstract: An environmentally safe process for pre-cleaning, sterilizing, preserving, and enhancing performance characteristics of materials used in critical environments with stringent end-product cleanliness and sterilization requirements in a single process using high energy dense fluids. One or more dense fluids are mixed with one or more chemical agents and are simultaneously subjected to a non-uniform electrostatic field and high powered acoustic radiation to remove, in a process called acoustic-electroextraction, deeply recessed contaminants from internal and external surfaces of intricately arranged or formulated materials such as biomaterials, surgical tools, or dental implants. Subsequently, the cleaned materials are than subjected to a high energy dense fluid oxidizing environment to provide for deep material penetration and sterilization and removal of biological contaminants.

  • Patent number: 5188019
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed herein for extracting a flavor from a natural leaf, powder of the like, such as tea leaves into a heated substance as a carrier such as a quantity of water. The apparatus employs a container with a heater for the water which will controllably bring the water to a boil. A tank is submerged in the water and includes a perforated strainer holding a quantity of loose tea leaves for wetting by the surrounding water. A dispensing nozzle is included, having a supply line from the water and a second supply line from the tea leaf tank. A valve arrangement selectively combines the supply lines to produce a desired flavor strength of the dispensed flavored liquid. A manually operable valve selectively intercommunicates the boiled water with the tea leaf tank and controls regulate the heater and temperature.

The decoration terminates at its backside of rear with a continuous edge on which an attachment flange is provided followed by placing a first bead of flowable, bondable or adhesive material thereon optionally followed by placing a second bead when the first bead has somewhat cured. The first and/or second bead is impregnated into the fabric or leather backing. Curing occurs within a specified period of time at a specified temperature range. Bonding of the decoration is complete after adhesive curing. For vinyl or other plastic material, no adhesive is used. The plastic material that the decoration is made of becomes the adhesive through a melting process.
