  • Patent number: 5244376
Abstract: A mold for use in the production of ceramic vessels is disclosed herein having a rotatable potters wheel head supporting a mold including a porous surface base disc releasably held in coaxial and concentric relationship with respect to the wheel head and which detachably carries a mold ring thereon about the periphery of the basic disc to define an inner cavity in which the shaping process is performed. A top rim is detachably carried on the mold ring and includes a porous surface for supporting ceramic material which downwardly depends into the mold cavity where pressure is applied to the unsupported portion of the material by finger tips to form a desired shape.

  • Patent number: 5244569
Abstract: A collector is disclosed herein for use in combination with equipment holding petroleum products, such as oil, grease or the like, and more particularly, to a novel collector suitable for attachment to such equipment for collecting oil seepage and lubricant excess which may fall or drip into the collector. In one form of the invention, the collector includes a box-like container having reinforcement sections disposed beneath an open grill through which the petroleum seepage may pass for collection within the container. A plurality of conduits is carried within the collector for conducting electrical cabling therethrough. Drainage spouts are employed for conducting separated water from the petroleum product into a drainage basin.

  • Patent number: 5240121
Abstract: A triangular shaped holder is disclosed herein for removably retaining a pool ball rack on a wall which includes a base member having a back adjacent the wall for accommodating mounting fasteners. A mounting member is integrally carried on the front of the base member and is of reduced dimension so as to receive placement of the rack thereover. The base member includes a shoulder against which the rack abuts to indicate the storage position of the rack. The holder further includes several shelves extending transversely across the open cavity of the holder with surface recesses for supporting accessories to be stored employed in the game of pool.

  • Patent number: 5237838
Abstract: A carrying bag or case is disclosed herein for storing heat sensitive cosmetics or the like in an internal storage compartment having a releasable fastener for closing an opening leading into the storage compartment. The storage compartment is surrounded by an auxiliary storage compartment for holding a replaceable refrigerant adjacent to the stored cosmetics which maintains the cosmetics or the like at a suitably low temperature to avoid spoiling. The carrying bag walls defining the storage compartment consists of a layered construction including flexible cushioning as well as temperature controlling characteristics.

  • Patent number: 5236026
Abstract: A device is disclosed herein for releasably retaining a length of chain on a vehicle tire which includes at least one substantially U-shaped strap in end view having an inwardly projecting adjustable extension terminating in an open socket adapted to insertably receive a lug nut carried on the wheel stud of the vehicle. The strap has holes for detachably receiving the opposite ends of the chain so that the length of chain is extended about the periphery of the vehicle tire. Multiple straps may be employed with a flexible retaining band to bias the straps together to hold the chain taut.

  • Patent number: 5230115
Abstract: A tennis shoe weighted device is disclosed herein for insertion into a tennis shoe during a washing procedure which includes a weighted body having a soap carrying compartment on one side and a resiliently mounted telescoping rod outwardly projecting from the other body side. The soap compartment is provided with an access opening for introducing soap into the compartment and a multiplicity of apertures for selectively releasing soap into surrounding wash water. A weight in the body is critically located on the soap compartment side of the device so that the device is unevenly weighted along its central longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 5224704
Abstract: A missle such as a ball incorporating a weighted mass having selected optimum for a given mass, velocity, spin and size while simultaneously making I as large as possible. The optimum selected weighted mass creates the desired in-flight path of the missile which experiences less perturbation so that missile precession and nutation is suppressed. In one form, the missile includes an elliptical spheroid such as a football having the selected weighted mass provided in an enclosure or covering with a hollow shell having a cavity containing an air volume. A cushion material such as foam is carried on opposite ends of the ball separating the shell from the covering. A band is disposed about the enclosure and shell midsection coaxially disposed with respect to the central longitudinal axis of the elliptical spheroid.
