  • Patent number: 5453730
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed herein for installation on an automotive vehicle which includes a receiver operably responsive to a remotely transmitted signal for incapacitating the vehicle power plant and for actuating warning lights indicative of vehicle unauthorized usage. The system includes a control unit response to operation of the receiver to interrupt fuel provided to the fuel pump via a centrifugal switch. Brake and hazard lights are energized to indicate a warning and hazard condition while the required triggering of an SCR or a power mosfet semiconductors coupled to the starter isolates the starter from the auto ignition system. A reset circuit is included for returning to normal auto operational systems and a delay circuit coupled to the control unit delays energizing the system for a predetermined period of time.

  • Patent number: 5421519
Abstract: An adjustable nozzle is disclosed herein to be carried on the end of a hollow supply tube detachably connected to the discharge nozzle of a pressurized spray container. The adjustable nozzle includes a member fixed to the tube having an open-ended passageway coextensive with the tube and which rotatably mounts, a discharge element having multiple fluid discharge orifices arranged in fixed spaced-apart relationship and of different shapes, diameters or sizes. Mated ribs and grooves are provided on the discharge element and the member for rotatably maintaining selective relationship between one of the discharge orifices and the supply tube and a yieldable retaining device registers or indexes the selected discharge orifice with the supply tube.

  • Patent number: 5413015
Abstract: A differential assembly having a driving case enclosing a pair of driving members operably coupled with a pair of driven members. The driven members are secured to output shafts and the driving members are forcibly driven by a driving shaft having its opposite ends in engagement with the driving case. The mid-section of the driving shaft passes through an eccentric or angled aperture formed by cooperating arcuate surfaces provided in opposing surfaces of the driving members. The driving members and the driven members are urged together respectively by double oppositely wound concentric springs bearing against a pin carried in an elongated hole coextensively provided in opposing surfaces of adjacent driving members of both pairs. Inspection and access openings are provided in passageways and in the oblong cross-section of part of the passageways.

  • Patent number: 5409335
Abstract: An anchoring device is disclosed herein having a track with a plurality of spaced-apart lock cut-out receptacles formed in an inverted T-groove insertably accepting a movable slider or car. The slider or car includes an eyelet member with a flange slideably carried in the T-groove and a spring-biased latch element having a circular stop normally biased into a lock position in a selected cut-out receptacle in the track. The latch is downwardly depressible against the spring bias to an unlock position with the track cut-out receptacle to permit movement of the slider along the track. Track sections are joined together by an expansion pin and slot construction.

  • Patent number: 5390933
Abstract: A game apparatus is disclosed herein having a board with a baseball field layout providing a track over which player tokens are moved in response to the position of spinners with respect to indicia carried on cards. The cards are insertably carried in holders and the indicia relates to information of existing "at bats" averages and of existing "pitchers" averages. Cards are provided with stolen base and pick-off information as well. A pair of "batter's results" and "pitcher's results" index cards are provided in spaces on the field layout. Tokens are employed for game player representation on the field layout while a game opener "toss" token is used to determine who will commence play and a score card is utilized to keep a score.

  • Patent number: 5379492
Abstract: A spring clip is disclosed herein for use on belt or pocket-held articles such as tools, pens, knives or the like, which includes a mounting block secured to the article that is provided with a pair of spaced-apart and open-ended passageways opening on opposite sides of the block. A clip is employed having folded-over elongated linear sections terminating in opposing spaced-apart lugs adapted to be insertably disposed into the respective passageways so as to act as pivots permitting the linear sections to be raised and lowered to and from the article. A torsional action results when the linear sections of the clip are lifted causing a spring bias urging the linear sections towards the article to provide a yieldable spring clip action.
