Abstract: A method for vacuum-packaging a powdered material comprises providing a first gas-impermeable sheet, a second gas-impermeable sheet, and a gas-permeable sheet, the three sheets being substantially rectangular in shape and the gas-permeable sheet having smaller dimensions than the gas-impermeable sheets, the gas-permeable sheet being impermeable to the powdered material. The gas-permeable sheet is positioned on the first gas-impermeable sheet such that the latter peripherally overlaps the former; and one edge of the gas-permeable sheet is sealed to the corresponding edge of the gas-impermeable sheet. The second gas-impermeable sheet is positioned on the opposite side of the gas-permeable sheet such that the former similarly peripherally overlaps the latter. The three sheets are sealed together along their opposed edges respectively perpendicular to the first sealed edge.
Abstract: A dry-shaving apparatus includes a shaving unit comprising an external shaving member provided with hair-entry apertures; and an internal shaving member associated with and rotatable relative to the external shaving member, the internal shaving member being formed with a plurality of cutting blades for engagement with the external shaving member. A first resilient element engages the internal shaving member and exerts pressure thereagainst. A ball bearing member is centrally positioned between the external shaving member and the internal shaving member and engages the internal shaving member. A second resilient element is associated with the external shaving member and engages the ball bearing member.
Abstract: A shaving apparatus comprises a housing; an external shaving member formed with hair-entry apertures and engaging the housing; and an internal shaving member associated with the external shaving member and rotatable relative thereto. A drive shaft couples the internal shaving member to a motor, the drive shaft having a hub. A pin engages the hub for rotatably supporting the drive shaft. Two separate radially acting cylindrical bearing surfaces of different diameters are provided on the pin. Two separate cylindrical radially acting bearing surfaces of correspondingly different diameters are provided on the hub for cooperation with the respective separate radially acting cylindrical bearing surfaces provided on the pin. A supporting plate is provided within the shaving apparatus housing, the pin and the supporting plate being formed as a one-piece plastic unit.
Abstract: A thermal insulating unit includes a sealed inner gas-permeable bag containing an insulating micropowdered material, such inner bag having two major surfaces parallel to each other. Two multilayer sheets are respectively disposed on opposite sides of the gas-permeable bag and overlap the same, each sheet being formed of an innermost layer and an outermost layer of a thermoweldable plastic and an intermediate metal layer. The metal layer has smaller dimensions than the plastic layers such that each metal layer wholly covers only its corresponding inner-bag major surface. The four plastic layers are peripherally heat-sealed, the resulting outer bag having been evacuated. A device is provided on each metal layer for fixing such layer to and positioning it with respect to its respective two plastic layers.
