  • Patent number: 6630920
Abstract: To readily realize a reduction in pel pitch and an increase in the number of pels, a V shift register is configured such that one pulse transfer stage is provided so as to correspond to two horizontal pel lines constituting a pel section of a liquid crystal panel. Further, a decoder decodes a signal output from each pulse transfer stage of the V shift register, thereby preparing a gate pulse for individually driving the pel line. The number of pulse transfer stages is made half that of a conventional pel drive circuit.

  • Patent number: 6628822
Abstract: In the present invention, RGB data outputted by a transmission side CRT monitor 3 is converted by a profile P1 stored in a converter 11 into XYZ data which is corrected in agreement with the viewing conditions on the transmitting side by having reference to detection signals from sensors S1, S2 so that the data is outputted as L+M+S+ data. A viewing condition conversion circuit 15 refers to detection signals from sensors S3, S4 to correct the L+M+S+ data in agreement with the viewing conditions on the reception side to supply the resulting XYZ data to the converter 16. The converter 16 refers to a profile P4 to convert the XYZ data into RGB data which is outputted to a CRT monitor 4. This equates color appearance of a picture on an input device on the transmission side to that of a picture on an output device on the reception side.

  • Patent number: 6624746
Abstract: A pager and paging system are adapted to provide music enthusiasts with information regarding musical events which is otherwise generally available. A subscriber of the musical information service provides the service provider with an interest profile detailing the subscriber's musical interests. The service provider compiles information regarding musical events, compares the compiled information to the profile, and transmits information matching the profile to the subscriber's pager. In a two-way paging system, the information may not be transmitted until a request is sent to the system. The system may also determine the pager's general location and provide information relevant to that locale.

  • Patent number: 6621666
Abstract: A first ferromagnetic layer is made to show a single magnetic domain to prevent any magnetic walls from appearing. A pair of bias layers 4 are made of a hard magnetic material showing a high resistivity are arranged at opposite ends of a TMR thin film 3. As a result, the sense current flowing through the TMR thin film 3 is prevented from diverting to the bias layers 4. Thus, a sufficiently strong bias magnetic field can be applied to the TMR thin film 3. As a result, the free layer 13 of the TMR thin film 3 is made to show a single magnetic domain to prevent any magnetic walls from appearing.

  • Patent number: 6618448
Abstract: When an input unit amplifier is employed in which transistors are longitudinally stacked in order that an input amplitude of a quantizing feedback circuit is made coincident with an output amplitude thereof, this quantizing feedback circuit cannot receive an ECL signal having a large amplitude under low power supply voltage. In a DC recovery circuit for correcting a shift contained in a DC level of an input signal by employing a quantizing feedback circuit having an adder, a comparator, and low-pass filters, a DC level of an input signal of the quantizing feedback circuit is compared with a DC level of an output signal thereof by an AGC circuit. A control signal corresponding to a level difference of these DC levels is supplied to a variable current source of a differential amplifier which constitutes a comparator so as to control a current of this variable current source.

  • Patent number: 6613497
Abstract: A light exposure method for ultra-fine processing for a semiconductor in which light transmittance of a resist layer in a wavelength range of the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) light is improved to enable ultra-fine processing more elaborate than is possible with conventional methods. In selectively exposing a resist layer to X-rays, a high molecular material obtained by replacing at least a portion of hydrogen atoms of a pre-existing resist material by a substituent containing an alkyl group and/or a substituent containing an aromatic ring is used as a high molecular material of the resist layer. By replacing the hydrogen atoms of the high molecular materials with a substituent containing an alkyl group or a substituent containing an aromatic ring, the proportion of oxygen atoms in an atom of the high molecular materials becomes relatively smaller to suppress optical absorption of the entire high molecular material. The line absorption coefficient in an x-ray wavelength is 3.80&mgr;−1 or less.
