Abstract: An image management method and apparatus that uses a plurality of time maps to display retrieved images for allowing a user to conveniently and quickly retrieve images. An upper map is displayed with time intervals included on the upper map and divided into first time units, images corresponding to a point in time in which a key is positioned on the map are retrieved, and the retrieved images are displayed. A lower map is displayed with time intervals included on the lower map and divided into second time units, images corresponding to a point in time in which a key is positioned on the map are retrieved, and the retrieved images are displayed. If a user input for any one of the time intervals expressed on the upper map or lower map is received, candidate images corresponding to the input time interval are retrieved and the retrieved images are displayed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for communication between a first terminal capable of using both a Circuit Switched (CS) call and an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) session, and a second terminal capable of using the IMS session, in a communication system supporting a Combined CS call and IMS session (CSI service). If the second terminal sends a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) request (INVITE) message to originate a voice service or a multimedia service including the voice service with the first terminal, a CSI Application Server (AS) of an IMS domain managing the first terminal separates a voice service-related component included in the request message from a multimedia service-related component, and generates and sends first and second request messages to the first terminal.

Abstract: A terminal device having a correction function for natural color and a method thereof are provided for creating an image closest in color to the natural color. A priority storing unit stores at a reference color data area a range of natural colors which are colors of objects existing in the natural world. A color editing unit corrects natural color image data corresponding to the natural color area, based on a command for correcting the natural area existing in a predetermined image from the user. A controlling unit decides whether the natural color image data corrected by the color editing unit is included in the reference color data area.

Abstract: A display environment adjustment system and method are provided for a computer which comprises a connector with which a monitor is connected, and a video card supplying a video signal to the monitor through the connector, further comprising a program storage part which stores an auto adjustment program therein to control the video card supplying a pattern video signal according to a predetermined adjustment mode adjusting a display environment depending on the type of the monitor, and a controller which checks the type of the monitor when the monitor is connected with the connector, determines optimal adjustment environment information of the monitor by executing the auto adjustment program and supplies the pattern video signal according to the adjustment mode to the monitor based on the optimal adjustment environment information.

Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for changing network interfaces in a multiaccess mobile terminal in a wireless communication system including a server for providing high-capacity data transmission service to a mobile terminal, and the terminal for receiving data from the server and supporting various network interfaces. Upon detecting handoff based on current air information received, an interface module reports a change in interface to a new air interface to an upper layer, and manages the mobile terminal such that traffic is transmitted to the new air interface. Upon receiving information on the new air interface from the interface module, a service module determines a bandwidth of the new air interface, generates a message based on the determined bandwidth, and transmits the generated message.

Abstract: A communication system is provided, including a first master device to operate as a master of a communication according to a first protocol, a second master device to operate as a master of a communication according to a second protocol, a common slave device to operate as a slave of the communication according to the first protocol and the second protocol with respect to the first master device and the second master device, and a switch to control a connection between the common slave device and the first master device and between the common slave device and the second master device for a communication between the common slave device and one of the first master device to and the second master device. Thus, embodiments of the present invention provide a communication system that minimizes cost increases and improves communication speed in a system in which a plurality of master devices communicate with a slave device performing the same function as the master devices.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is provide which reduces uplink signaling overhead in the process of reporting inter-frequency measurement results over a RACH. For measurement reporting, the UE receives an SIB including a cell information list for non-used frequency cells and a threshold from an RNC, compares signal strengths of signals received from the non-used frequency cells with the threshold, and acquires at least one inter-frequency cell ID indicating at least one non-used frequency cell having signal strength exceeding the threshold from the cell information list. The at least one inter-frequency cell ID is included in a RACH message as measurement result information for the at least one non-used frequency cell, and transmitted to the RNC. The RNC determines that the cell corresponding to the inter-frequency cell ID has signal strength exceeding the threshold.

Abstract: A broadcast signal processing apparatus that is capable of recording and reproducing an externally received broadcast signal with respect to a hard disc drive, and which includes a broadcast signal receiving part for receiving a broadcast signal, demodulating and dividing the received broadcast signal into a video and audio signal, a hard disc drive formatted in a file allocation table (FAT) form, and wherein the HDD has a FAT and a data region, and a control part for recording, searching and reproducing the audio and video signals with respect to the HDD based on the FAT file system. When the FAT is updated, the apparatus is further capable of adding a temporary file termination data to an end of the updated data, and converting, corresponding to a recording stop signal, the temporary file termination data into a normal file termination data according to the FAT file system.

Abstract: A system and method is provided for generating a video signal including a signal generator to generate the video signal, a user setting part to allow a user to set information for generating the video signal, and a controller to control the signal generator to generate the video signal on the basis of the information when the information is set through the user setting part. Thus, the system provides a controller for generating a video signal, a simulation system comprising the same, and a method of generating the video signal, in which a desired new video signal is generated or adjusted on the basis of information for generating the video signal input by a user.

Abstract: A needle assembly including a cover, an inner shield, a needle and a hub assembly is provided. After use, the cover is placed over the distal (patient) end of the needle and the inner shield can be used to cover the proximal (non-patient) end of the needle. The inner shield comprises flexible extensions above its open end to secure the inner shield over the proximal end of a needle in the needle assembly. A needle hub is also provided that eliminates adhesive bumps at the base of the needle and further distributes needle angular bending along an irregular surface, which facilitates proper insertion technique and effective needle length. The hub further includes stanchions or castellations on its edge such that when the patient uses proper injection techniques, the edges of the hub leave a distinctive impression in the skin of a user for a short period of time.

Abstract: A method of compensating for a light amount drift of a photosensor used in an image control device, wherein the photosensor includes a light emitting portion and a light receiving portion which projects light onto an image control mark formed on an intermediate transfer medium of a printer and detects an optical signal reflected by the image control mark, thereby controlling the quality of an image. In the compensation method, the light amount drift is calculated by projecting light on the intermediate transfer medium, detecting an amount of light reflected by the intermediate transfer medium, and comparing the detected light amount with a pre-set reference light amount. The detected light amount is then corrected to be substantially equal to the reference light amount.

Abstract: A memory expansion pack, which includes a memory for storing content, an FM receiver, an ear jack, and a controller, is connected with a portable terminal through a connector of the pack to provide content to the terminal. Under the control of the controller, content stored in the memory and audio data, which is received through the FM receiver from an external device over a set frequency channel, is transmitted to the terminal. When the ear jack is connected with the external output device, it outputs the content through the external output device. When the ear jack is connected with a device, such as a PC, the ear jack downloads content from the PC. The memory expansion pack allows the user to provide and use a large amount of various content. The pack can also provide high quality services, overcoming the limited memory capacity of portable terminals, and reduce the cost of wireless data communication.

Abstract: A device for fusing a predetermined toner image on a paper and which electrically insulates a heating body of a fusing unit from a power supply unit by heating the heating body using an induced current generated by a transformer. The fusing device includes an insulation unit for generating an induced current in response to an alternating current, a heating body heated by the generated induced current, a toner fusing unit which fuses the toner image on the paper using the heat received from the heating body, and a tube-expansion adhesion portion closely adhering the heating body to the toner fusing unit using a predetermined tube-expansion pressure.

Abstract: A white detecting method and apparatus using the same are disclosed, wherein the white detecting method includes steps for using a luminance division and/or using a window division for white detecting. The luminance division detects a white by using at least one color data information existing in a white area, and the window division detects a mean value of at least one color data information existing in the white area as a white. With this, the white which forms a reference in color correction, can be accurately detected, thereby improving a stability of color sense and reducing an error probability in white balancing.

Abstract: An image recording/reproducing apparatus and a control method thereof to provide the functions of recording image files in a recording medium and reproducing and editing the image files recorded in the recording medium. The apparatus and method enables a user to easily select and manipulate functions of the apparatus using a menu display, and can record, reproduce and edit the image files according to the function selected by the user. The apparatus and method, therefore allows the user to easily select and manipulate the functions using a displayed menu, and more efficiently manage and easily search for the recorded image files.

Abstract: Adapters for utilizing a syringe or pen injector with a subcutaneous injection port to deliver a therapeutic substance through the injection port and methods of using the adapters are provided. A syringe adapter has a body having a first end and a second end. The first end of the body is configured to receive and engage the end of a syringe so that the cannula of the syringe is held at a fixed position with the respect to the adapter. The second end of the adapter configured to mate with a mating portion of the injection port. When the second end of the adapter engages the mating portion of the injection port, the adapter assures that the cannula of the syringe is properly aligned with the subcutaneous injection port and assures that the cannula penetrates the injection port to the proper depth. Adapters for use with pen style delivery systems are also disclosed. Additionally, an adapter to facilitate loading a syringe with a therapeutic substance from a vial is disclosed.

Abstract: A method and terminal for performing a video communication service where the operation mode of the mobile communication terminal switches to a screen sharing mode upon receipt of a screen sharing request from a user during a video communication, screen data selected according to user selection information in the screen sharing mode is output to a display unit, the screen data displayed on the display unit is acquired, and the acquired screen data is transmitted instead of the user's video data to a corresponding terminal performing the video communication.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus are disclosed for applying frequency layer convergence (FLC) to connected mode user equipments (UE) having no dedicated channel for a multimedia broadcast/multicast service (MBMS) service in a mobile communication system employing a Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) scheme. The method and apparatus prevent uplink signaling congestion which may occur when the UEs located in non preferred frequency layers (NPL) of the MBMS service move to a preferred frequency layers (PL) when a MBMS service session starts. If the MBMS service session starts in a situation of applying the FLC, a radio network controller (RNC) notifies the UEs desiring to receive the MBMS service and located in NPLs for the MBMS service of FLC information including a PF value and a timer value, with reference to the number of the NPL UEs joining the MBMS service.

Abstract: A system and method for a patch-like, self-contained multi-component substance infusion device which provides one or more substantially hidden patient needles which can be placed in fluid communication with a fluid reservoir assembly that includes a rigid bladder portion used in conjunction with a non-distensible bladder film, such as a metallized film. The device can be attached to a skin surface via an adhesive contact and a pressurization system provides a pressure to the contents of a fluid reservoir assembly. Improvements to dry powdered formulations for reconstitution for preferred use in the device are also disclosed.
