Abstract: A one-return wave equation migration is used to extrapolate both down-going and up-going waves. Followed by a properly designed imaging condition, the partial image contributed form turning waves is correctly reconstructed. Numerical examples show that this method can significantly enhance definition of an overhanging salt boundary and a geological structure with vertical features.
Abstract: An electrical power (AC/DC) monitoring system remotely monitoring batteries and electrical power systems through a call center, providing continual monitoring, monthly reports, near real time viewing and service response. Modular by design, a plurality of individual input modules, which receive an analog voltage input, convert this signal to a digital format and send the digital signal to a central control which collects the data, then, at scheduled intervals, sends the collected data to a web server which contains the main software for the system. This software performs data comparisons, charts trends, predicts failures, plans and schedules service visits, then archives the data for future references. Alarm notifications are provided to the customer via Email, office phone (land line), cell phone (wireless), PDA, pager, etc. and can also be sent to a service provider to initiate the service response.
Abstract: An apparatus for dispensing a dental solution is disclosed and includes a dispensing nozzle adapted for attachment to a syringe. The dispensing nozzle has a curved applicator tip with a securely mounted brush that extends beyond the applicator tip to aid in placement of the dental solution. A retainer hub is positioned in the dispensing nozzle to prevent the brush from retracting into or being expelled from the dispensing nozzle during use.

Abstract: A tire deflation is deployed from a leading vehicle to cause deflation of the tires of a trailing vehicle. The tire deflation device has two primary components a deployable member, with a plurality of tire piercing spikes mounted thereon, and a launch assembly designed to deposit the deployable member on a road surface in proper position for the at least one of the tires of a trailing vehicle to expose at least some of the spikes which penetrate and deflate the tires, the remaining spikes being released in a safe manner.
Abstract: The invention recirculates and/or recycles fluids normally lost down the drain during the time it takes for a desired temperature to be attained for usage of the hot fluids. A recirculating/recycling valve, through which hot fluids may flow, has an additional port fitted to the valve body, which by positioning the handle in a singularly unique position, fluids not at the desired temperature are sent back to the source from which they came, to a recycling toilet tank system or to a recycling standpipe at atmospheric pressure.
Abstract: A vacuum system is enclosed in a housing having two vertically spaced chambers, the lower one enclosing the vacuum generating motor means and the upper chamber defining the vacuum chamber and having therein prefilter and filter means as well as at least two vacuum ports to which vacuum wands are selectively attached, each port being sealed when not in use.

Abstract: An insert rod guide has an elongated cylindrical member with an externally threaded first or upper end of a first diameter and an internally threaded lower or second end of a larger diameter with an axial bore extending between the ends. Intermediate the ends of the member is a truncated conical shoulder with a plurality of regularly spaced bores angled outwardly from the axial bore through the shoulder. An annular sand shield is mounted externally on the member for axial movement therealong. The sand shield has one face which is tapered to mate with the shoulder. An annular hardened insert is mounted on the upper end of the member and is held in place by retainer collar.
Abstract: A tool for cutting a live electrical wire and applying a connector thereto in a safe and convenient manner has a housing with a pistol grip and actuating means on a first end and wire preparing and connector application means at the opposite second end. At least the housing is made of electrical insulating material. The wire preparation portion comprises two parallel adjacent sections each having a wire gripping portion, an anvil and opposing cutter. When actuated, the cutter of one section completely severs the live electrical wire and the cutter of the other section, the sections being slightly spaced apart at this time, severs only the insulation of the live electrical wire. Continued movement of the actuation means causes the two sections to spread apart to remove the cut section of insulation from the electrical conductor and allow access of a connector applicator to the exposed end of the electrical conductor.
Abstract: A device designed to be deployed from a leading vehicle to cause deflation of the tires of a trailing vehicle. The device has two primary components a deployable base member, with a plurality of tire piercing spikes extending therefrom, and a launch assembly designed to deposit the base member on a road surface in proper position to cause the deflation of the tires of a trailing vehicle.
Abstract: A system for removing substantially all particular material from an air flow through a passage provides the air flow passage with an area of enlarged circumference containing a coaxial mounted cyclone fan and stationary vanes. The cyclone fan includes a motor driving a cage provided with a plurality of vanes. The stationary vanes are shaped similar to like vanes on the cyclone fan, but are turned in the reverse direction.
Abstract: A bottom discharge valve is located on the bottom of the pump barrel just above the standing valve. The externally threaded pin end of the standing valve threads into the lower internally threaded portion of the bottom discharge valve. The externally threaded or pin end of the bottom discharge valve is large enough to allow the plunger cage or the traveling valves to actually stroke into the hollow portion of the neck or pin end of the disclosed bottom discharge valve.
Abstract: A plurality of fasteners is attached spaced around the periphery of a pad, such as a knee or elbow pad, with the fasteners being capable of gripping the ordinary clothing of a worker to secure the pad at the joint to be protected. The fasteners do not damage to material of the clothing, secure the pad in place at all times, and are readily attached to and detached from any ordinary street and/or work clothing. No modification of the clothing is required.
Abstract: A music education system has a database which included all pertinent information on rooms, teachers, students, accompanists, and administration. This allows for matching of students, teachers, rooms, etc. and printing of schedules for all persons involved in a music program. A music library assists in practicing and preparatory score study by individual musicians with or without accompaniment. Each selection includes multiple recordings of cues and parts allowing selection of which part is to be played by the musician and by the accompanist. This can include sectional or skeletal tracks.
Abstract: A roping training apparatus provides a target moving along a substantially level track from a starting end to a stopping end. The target, such as a calf figure, is mounted on a wheeled platform and connected to one end of at least one tensioning member the other end of which is fixed to the stop end of the track. Guide means, such as cables, are connected between the ends of the track and engage and guide the target in its passage along the track. The actuating mechanism, in addition to the at least one tensioning member, includes latching assembly at the starting end of the track to engage the target assembly and hold it against the force of the at least one tensioning member. When the target is positioned in the actuating mechanism and then released, it moves along the track, under the influence of the at least one tension member, and a roper attempts to rope the target before it comes to a stop at the end of the track.
Abstract: An improved wet and dry food grinder having a base assembly and a grinder assembly receivable on the base. The base contains an electric motor with associated electrical circuitry and drive means attached thereto. The grinder assembly has a cylindrical cover and a cylindrical grinder bowl received within the cover. Grinder blades are mounted in the grinder bowl and are driven by the drive means. The motor is actuated by placing the grinder assembly in position on the base and pressing down.
