Abstract: A growth method is proposed for high quality zinc oxide comprising the following steps: (1) growing a gallium nitride layer on a sapphire substrate around a temperature of 1000° C.; (2) patterning a SiO2 mask into stripes oriented in the gallium nitride <1 100> or <11 20> direction; (3) growing epitaxial lateral overgrowth of (ELO) gallium nitride layers by controlling the facet planes via choosing the growth temperature and the reactor; (4) depositing zinc oxide films on facets ELO gallium nitride templates by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Zinc oxide crystal of high quality with a reduced number of crystal defects can be grown on a gallium nitride template. This method can be used to fabricate zinc oxide films with low dislocation density lower than 104/cm?2, which will find important applications in future electronic and optoelectronic devices.

Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic binding agent comprising a binding agent component having free-flowing or solidifying properties when water is added and an acceleration component which is used to accelerate solidification. The acceleration component contains ultrafine calcium hydroxide having a high specific surface and low grain size.
Abstract: In a wireless communications network, a wireless device may examine the received signal to determine the strength of the received signal, and also determine the level of interference and noise. If a retransmission is needed due to a message being incorrectly received, these factors may then be processed to estimate whether the probable cause of poor reception is interference from a neighboring network. If such interference is the likely cause, the retransmission may be changed to a different time and/or to different frequencies in a subsequent frame, so that the interference from the neighboring network is less likely to reoccur.
Abstract: When retransmitting lost packets of data to multiple devices in a wireless network, the original sequence of packets containing all the lost packets may be encoded into a smaller number of packets for the retransmission. These encoded packets may be collectively addressed to all the intended receiving devices through broadcast or multicast addressing. These encoded packets may then be selectively decoded by the receiving devices, using the successfully received previous packets as part of the decoding process. Repetitive exclusive OR algorithms may be used for encoding and decoding.
Abstract: A method for analyzing and presenting in a graphical manner single instruction, multiple data (SIMD) instructions involves disassembling a stream of machine instructions into a stream of assembly language instructions. Instruction objects “M” and “N” are created to represent SIMD instructions “M” and “N” from the stream of instructions. Instruction objects “M” and “N” include multiple data objects corresponding to the multiple data items of the respective SIMD instruction. Different colors are assigned to at least two of the multiple data objects of instruction object “M.” If a data item of SIMD instruction “N” is based on a data item of SIMD instruction “M,” the color from the source object is automatically assigned to the target object. Dependencies between data items of instruction “M” and “N” are annotated by arrows between corresponding data objects. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract: A first radio in a wireless network may request a transmit opportunity (TXOP) of a certain duration, with the duration being based a likelihood that a TXOP of that duration would cause interference with a co-located second radio. The duration may be dynamically adjusted based on the likelihood of such interference.
Abstract: The present application is directed to methods of manufacturing calcium phosphate particles. In particular, the method is directed at eliminating the requirement for a sintering step in the manufacturing process. The method involves the atomization and combustion of one or more antecedent compositions containing calcium precursors, phosphorus precursors and hydrogen peroxide.
Abstract: A system is provided with the ability to intervene, when a suspend process is initiated in response to an AC failure condition to place the system in a suspended to memory state, to save a persistent copy of an operational state of the system, before allowing the suspend process to complete.

Abstract: In a wireless device that includes two different radio transceivers that communicate in two different wireless networks, wireless transmissions from one radio in the first network may be timed so that they do not coincide with wireless receptions by the other radio in the second network. A non-wireless interface between the two radios may be used to convey information about the scheduled reception times so that the transmission will not be scheduled during those reception times. This may be particularly useful when the receiving radio is operating in a centralized and highly scheduled network, while the transmitting radio is operating in a more decentralized network.

Abstract: In various embodiments of the invention, a relay station in a wireless communications network may communicate with one or more subscriber stations at the same time and/or on the same frequency that the associated base station is communicating with another relay station in the same network. This contrasts with the conventional technique of devoting one time period or frequency exclusively to communications between the base station and the relay stations, and devoting another time period or frequency exclusively to communications between the relay stations and the subscriber stations.
Abstract: Wire bond pad and solder ball or controlled collapse chip connections C4 are combined on a planar surface of a an integrated circuit device to provide a die. Known good die (KGD) testing is optionally performed using wire bond connections or stress tolerant solder ball connections. The KGD testing is conducted after the integrated circuit dies are diced from a wafer. Solder ball or C4 array connections which withstand thermal stress are used to KGD test the die prior to final use of the wire bond pad connections to an end use device. Alternatively, wire bond pads are used to test the die while maintaining the solder ball or C4 array in a pristine condition for bonding to a final end product device. Both testing with the solder ball C4 array contacts and with the wire bond connections provides metallurgical connections for the KGD test. The solder ball or C4 array is connected to the wire bond pads and either connection can be used to burn-in test the die.
