  • Patent number: 6578267
Abstract: A portable, hand held exhaust pipe cutter having an air motor to drive a cutting wheel arranged parallel to a drive shaft of the air motor by an angle head gearing device. The cutter makes straight cross-sectional cuts through cylinders by using a feed lever pivotally attached to the air motor that engages the cylinders to be cut and guides them into engagement with the cutting wheel. The feed lever on an opposing end includes a handle that extends along the air motor so that a user can grip both the control lever of the air motor and the handle of the feed lever simultaneously with a single hand.

  • Patent number: 6508335
Abstract: An omni-directional wheel is provided which includes a frame having an upper portion for affixing the frame to an under-side of a weight bearing surface, at least two side walls, and a central cavity defined by the side walls for receiving at least one spherical wheel, at least two wheel bearings connected in axial alignment to the side walls for rotation of the wheel about a fixed axis, at least two wheel seats each having one side in axial connection to the wheel bearings and an opposite conical face wherein the conical faces are disposed in opposite axial alignment for mounting the wheel between the faces and a force of static friction is exerted relative to the conical faces and the wheel when the wheel is rotating about the fixed axis and a force of kinetic friction is exerted relative to the conical faces and the wheel when the wheel is rotating about an axis perpendicular to the fixed axis, and an upper load bearing connected to the frame which bias against an upper surface of the wheel.

  • Patent number: 6374771
Abstract: A bed harness for a pet, has a ventral strap, collar strap, and a girth strap, the ventral strap connected between the collar and the girth straps, a stay having a first and second end, the first end attached to the ventral strap at a point in close proximity to the girth strap, a bed having an upper surface, a lower surface, and a central vertical shaft through the surfaces for receiving the second end through the surfaces, and a device for stopping the second end from releasing back through the shaft, the stopping device attached near the second end of the stay at a distance from the first end which allows the pet to sit or stand on, but not move from, the upper surface of the bed. In this manner, the weight of the pet restrains the animal to the desired location of the bed.

  • Patent number: 5403474
Abstract: A portable curb inlet sediment filter which has a box filter frame and a primary baffle panel defining a filter chamber, to be filled with a particulate filter medium, such as gravel, for sediment removal, and an overflow chamber. The overflow chamber has at least one overflow baffle panel in order to provide a hydraulic opening and a peripheral end cap chamber. The end cap chamber is gravel filled in order to clarify water escaping around the front of the frame and into the hydraulic opening through the side panel. The filter frame and baffle panels are a mesh construction having apertures smaller in size than the particles of gravel to be contained.
