Abstract: A pompon is provided that includes a plastic body member that has strands attached to an end thereof, and wherein a clip is provided for holding the strands in place on the member. One end of the holder or member is open so that a coupon or the like can be conveniently inserted within the member. Suitable advertisements, logos, and the like can be imprinted on the outer surface of the finger held pompom. The finger held pompon includes a receptacle that is constructed of plastic material of resilient characteristics whereby the user's finger can be conveniently inserted within the device to provide a convenient means of manipulating the pompon.

Abstract: A dispenser is provided that includes a hollow housing in which is mounted a disposable container that holds materials such as fluidic material to be dispensed. There is provided a service unit which consists of a package or bag holding the fluidic material and wherein the bag has an accordion type construction. The service unit includes a pump tube which is molded as part of the container, and a check valve forms part of the service unit, with the check valve being mounted on an end of the pump tube. An operating lever or mechanism is provided for selectively dispensing metered quantities of material from the accordion package.

Abstract: A nail polish remover is provided that consists of a hollow container that has a quantity of fluid or liquid such as nail polish remover therein. A plurality of spaced apart fins or flexible support elements are mounted in the container, and the fins have bristles or brush-like elements secured thereto whereby a person can insert a finger into the device so that the finger will contact the bristles in such a manner that the liquid on the bristles will conveniently remove the nail polish from the fingernails.

Abstract: A method and means is provided for folding material such as paper hand toweling in either a single "V-fold" or multiple "Z-fold" configuration. In either case, the paper is forced by a tucker into a vise which consists of one stationary jaw and one movable jaw operated by a cam on opening and a spring mechanism on closing. The movable vise is leading through the roll nip. The tucker blade may be split into individual segments, the width of one towel rather than the full width of the machine. Further, leaf springs such as two leaf springs per segment rather than extension springs on each end of the blade are adapted to be used.

Abstract: A dispenser is provided that includes a housing that embodies a base portion and a hingedly mounted cover. A service unit comprising a collapsible bag or package for holding the material to be dispensed is positioned within the housing or cabinet, and an operating lever or handle is provided for actuating and dispensing predetermined, controlled amounts of material from the package.

Abstract: A sheet overlap device or apparatus that includes an improved and novel method and means for overlapping of sheets and in particular for overlapping hand towels at high speeds using a vacuum arrangement. The transfer from one vacuum roll to the other is made at the same surface velocity so as to provide better register of the overlap and wherein there will be less likelihood of jamming occurring. The unit includes feed rolls, a fly knife roll, vacuum fed bed roll, pinch or pressure roll, vacuum fed lap roll, vacuum fed tail roll, and retard rolls. In one form of the invention, there is a generally horizontal feed, while in another form of the invention the feed occurs vertically rather than horizontally. By utilizing a vertical rather than a horizontal discharge of the machine, there is the added advantage to gravity helping the discharge from the folding rolls.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing work pieces such as fan blades, complete fan rotors and other bodies wherein a core is wrapped around with reinforcing means and the wound core is inserted in a mould, then liquid synthetic resin mixture is filled into the hollow space of the mould, and whereby after the synthetic resin hardens, the fan blades are removed from the mould.

Abstract: A stove, steam cooking and heating system is provided that includes a means for supplying water to a collector wherein the collector is arranged in a suitable location such as a heat source such as a fireplace, campfire or the like so that the water is converted to steam which can be used for any desired purpose, as for example, the steam can be used for cooking foodstuffs, heating purposes and the like.

Abstract: Apparatus for receiving fitments from a supply and transferring such fitments until one fitment is positioned in a predetermined location adjacent to a flexible thermoplastic sleeve which is used to make a pouch. In this position, a pilot pin engages the fitment and holds the fitment while the transfer mechanism is retracted and thereafter a press forces the fitment into engagement with the pouch and the fitment is welded to the pouch by a welding mechanism located within the sleeve.

Abstract: A rotor blade is manufactured by making a soft alloy into a blade body with a curved section, joining a hard alloy to the leading edge of the blade body, coating the back side surfaces of the leading and trailing edge portions of the blade by alternately giving at least one coat each of a Ni-Cr-B-Si alloy and WC by spraying and fusing the coats onto the backing surfaces, and then coating the entire front side surface of the blade in the same way.

Abstract: An animal exercising or conditioning apparatus is provided that has a rugged construction and wherein there is provided a straight-line walk. The animal conditioner or horse exerciser includes an inclined surface that keeps the horse walking up hill and shortens work out time. There is further provided a variable motor speed control and an automatic timer that turns the device off after preselected workout time, and there is also provided a loading gate that allows easy handling.

Abstract: The invention relates to a mobile liquid distributing apparatus comprising a quasi-constant flow supply device a variable flow distributing device, and liquid transfer means interconnecting the two devices. A flow regulating means is included in the transfer means and a regulation device acts on the regulating means and comprises comparison means. The latter receive, on one hand, a signal from means for measuring a magnitude which is a characteristic of the flow of the liquid in the transfer means and, on the other hand, a reference signal from means for measuring the speed of the apparatus through means for transforming between the speed and said magnitude. The means measuring the characteristic magnitude is constituted by a flow measuring means and the transforming means are constituted by means for applying a coefficient of proportionality. The invention is of particular interest in applications in the agricultural field.

The main plastic body may be a transparent or a translucent material and each end of the main plastic body have equal weighted amounts of the sand, gravel or shot. Velcro may be used as securing means where a Velcro section is provided on the arm chair or sofa for receiving the improved arm chair coaster of the invention.
