Abstract: This invention relates to a process for the production of a shaped composite material and the material obtained through that process. In particular it relates to a process for obtaining a disk of composite ceramic material for disc brakes in which the friction coefficient is varied by varying the composition of the surface layer.

Abstract: A lever device for operating a hydraulic actuator for a motorcycle, comprises a support that can be connected to a bearing structure, a hydraulic actuator connected to the support, a main lever, pivotally connected to the support and intended to be operated by being moved close to or away from said hydraulic actuator, a control rod and an adjustment member that are interposed in series between the main lever and a piston of the hydraulic actuator such as to transmit an operating movement from the lever to said piston. The adjustment member pivots about an axis of adjustment and defines a seat that accommodates an end of the control rod. The seat is eccentric to the axis of adjustment, whereby rotation of the adjustment member changes the orientation of the control rod relative to the axis of rotation of the lever, and thus the lever ratio.
Abstract: A trim cover having overlapped first and second cover members is fixed to a vehicle surface by a structure which includes a belt-like support plate attached along an end of the first cover member, and an engaging element. The engaging element has a longitudinal base portion and spaced tongue-shaped pieces projecting laterally therefrom. The engaging element extends along an end of the second cover member which positionally corresponds to the end of the first cover member. Fasteners fix the support plate, at both ends and a center portion thereof, through the end of the first cover member, to a surface of a vehicle. The tongue-shaped pieces of the engaging element are press-fitted through spaces in regions between the first cover member and the surface which are not occupied by the fasteners.
Abstract: An adjusting screw (15) for a control lever device (1) for vehicles, wherein said adjusting screw (15) comprises a screw body (18) with a threaded shank (19) that can be screwed in a corresponding threaded hole (16) of the lever device (1) and a locking body (26) pivotally connected to the screw body (18). The locking body (26) comprises contact means (27) interacting with the screw body (28, 18) such as to counteract the rotation of the locking body (26) relative to the screw body (18) to a certain extent and anchoring means (29) engaging an anchoring seat (17) of the lever device (1) such as to prevent that the locking body (26) may rotate relative to the threaded hole (16) of the lever device (1). There are also provided means (25) for preventing that the locking body (26) may be displaced along the shank (19) of the screw body (18).
Abstract: A connection system between a dispenser head of a liquid and a container of a liquid includes a base area of a structure and a flange screwed tight onto the neck of the container. Free rotation of the structure is prevented by a resistant torque, but the base area of the structure is made in such a way as to allow the accidental rotation of the head without unscrewing the flange.
Abstract: A prefabricated wall element comprises a wood-cement plate-like body, a reinforcement embedded in the body and one or more plate-bracket units with a connecting plate rigidly connected to one or more anchoring brackets embedded in the plate-like body and engaged to the reinforcement, in which the plate-like body together with a rear surface of the connecting plate facing inwards the plate-like body define an assembling seat with an access opening lateral to the connecting plate.
Abstract: A cabinet door collapses and slides into a concealed position inside a door compartment of a cabinet. The door has a first wing which is pivotally connected to a second wing and to a vertical door-supporting bar which travel insides the door compartment. The second wing is guided by carriages running in upper and lower continuous guideways that extend inside the door compartment. A device for moving the door-supporting bar includes a stationary toothed belt inside the door compartment, a toothed wheel and guide pulleys carried by the door-supporting bar. The toothed wheel is operatively connected to a torsion spring inside the door-supporting bar. A locking device locks the toothed wheel, when the door wings are in a coplanar closed position, and releases the toothed wheel, when they are in a parallel open position.
Abstract: A hammock having a self-closing bottom entrance slit is constructed with the slit substantially offset to one side of the center line of the hammock. This improves comfort by enabling one to lie in the hammock out of contact with the slit, and facilitates the addition of an insulating panel to the hammock.

Abstract: A switch device includes a container of the hermetic type, at least one switch contained inside the hermetic container, and actuation devices at least partially contained inside the container and suitable to actively select the switch. The actuation devices have at least one internal ferromagnetic element, moving inside the container so as to influence an actuation button of the switch, and a transmission body having a first extremity which interfaces in contact with said internal ferromagnetic element and a second extremity which interfaces in contact with said actuation button. The transmission body is a rigid body which receives and transmits the movement of the internal ferromagnetic element from a rest position in which it does not cause the actuation button to be actuated and a functioning position in which it presses and acts on the actuation button by contact.
Abstract: A bogie for a railway vehicle includes a frame, a plurality of wheelsets, and steering linkages linking the wheelsets to maintain steering alignment. The bogie has a wheelset body linkage pivotally connecting the steering linkages with the bogie body so as to position the body relative to the wheelsets, and two alignment rams to position the body relative to the frame. The bogie also has sensors for monitoring yaw angle and yaw velocity. The sensor input is processed to estimate track curvature and determine the train speed and yaw velocity of the vehicle body. The processor actuates the alignment rams to adjust the position of the body relative to the frame in response to the track curvature and current frame positions to minimize wheel contact creepage and maximize bogie stability.
Abstract: A control device such as a handlebar-mounted brake includes a support structure containing a hydraulic piston, a lever pivotally connected to the support structure by a pin, and a transmission element for transmitting force from the lever to the piston during a normal actuation stroke of the lever. The lever may pivot outward substantially beyond its normal rest position. A torsion spring biases the lever in the actuation direction so that the lever and the transmission element are normally in contact. However, in the event of a fall, the lever can pivot outward from its normal rest position, out of contact with the transmission element. The hydraulic components are thereby protected from damage, as the pin and support structure bear the entire impact force applied to the lever.
Abstract: An apparatus for separating objects, such as cherries, that are joined together by removable links, includes a collecting vessel having a water inlet and into which the objects are conveyed by means separate from the water inlet. One or more conduits extend downstream from the collecting vessel and have respective inflow mouths situated downstream of the collecting vessel. Water pumps within the conduits cause liquid to whirl about with the products taken in therewith, and pump them into the respective outflow mouths so as to eject them. The collecting vessel is a tank whose wall facing the inflow mouths has an upper edge adapted to perform as a horizontal spillway. The upper edge is situated higher than the inflow mouths, and a chute between the upper edge and the inflow mouths causes the liquid and the objects to converge towards the inflow mouths. Preferably, water ejected from the conduits is recovered and recycled.
Abstract: Modular labeling station suitable for being detachably connectable to a labeling machine in a labeling arrangement. The labeling station comprises a base suitable to lay on a floor at a side distal from the labeling machine and to lay substantially on the labeling machine at a side proximal to the labeling machine itself, and a labeling unit mounted on the base in an adjustable manner. The base lays on the labeling machine at a portion that is structurally independent from the labeling unit.
