  • Patent number: 7993381
Abstract: A therapeutic method in which plural points on the body are stimulated by light of different wavelengths emitted from wands, probes or other applicators under the control of a central microprocessor. The microprocessor executes program instructions to produce light at each applicator whose intensity, frequency, duration and pulsation accord with protocols which are automatically selected depending on the portion of the body being treated. The protocols can be manually overridden by the therapist, in which case the changed parameters are stored in memory. The apparatus is particularly useful in performing traditional therapeutic methods to treat internal disorders, substance abuse, pediatric and podiatric problems and disorders of the ear, nose, throat, as well as musculoskeletal, neurological or dermatological disorders.

  • Patent number: 7994381
Abstract: The invention relates to a production process for a foam wound dressing having an external germ barrier, more particularly a film layer, and also to a wound dressing thus obtained, having, where appropriate, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. In the process according to the invention the germ barrier is produced by means of extrusion directly on the foam base. This results in a more reliable bond between foam layer and germ barrier, without detriment to the absorptiveness of the foam for wound exudate. The process presented is simple and cost-effective, and all of the requirements from the medical sector (e.g. absence of solvent) can be met.

  • Patent number: 7987628
Abstract: An animal trap for catching mice has a box-shaped housing with foundation housing and attached to it is the cover housing, capable of swiveling. Arranged in the interior of the housing, there is a triggering system designed like a seesaw with a stepping platform. The cover housing is locked in the open position with the help of mechanical restraint devices. A locking mechanism resting in the cover housing has an unlocking button for restoring the open position, as well as an operating button for the user to transfer the cover housing into closed position.

  • Patent number: 7987015
Abstract: In a method for producing optical elements, material on a blank (20) is removed with an abrasive liquid jet (32). The liquid jet (32) has a jet thickness (d) which is greater than the dimension (D) of the blank (20) in a plane (E) perpendicular to the direction (R) of the liquid jet. Predefined removal profiles in aspherical form can be achieved by the liquid jet (32) being guided onto the blank (20) at different angles of incidence (?).

  • Patent number: 7984950
Abstract: An automobile seat height adjuster includes a linkage base frame between the seat's side frames and seat brackets so as to be vertically swingable. The base frame has two pairs of linkage members interconnected by respective shafts. Each of the linkage members extends between one of the side frames and one of the brackets so as to be collapsable. A power transmission mechanism transmits to the linkage base frame power generated by operation of an operating knob and causes the linkage base frame to swing vertically, thereby causing the seat to move vertically. Stops on the linkage base frame abut the installation surfaces, limiting downward movement of the seat and keeping the seat in a lowermost position at which side frames of the seat are spaced from the installation surfaces.

  • Patent number: 7975988
Abstract: A device for carbonating a liquid (L) in a container (10) with a pressurized gas (G) comprises a receiving flask (20) for the container (10) and a filling head (30) which has means (31) for adding gas into said liquid in the container (10). The receiving flask (20) and the filling head (30) are movable in relation to each other between an insertion position (I) and a carbonating position (C). In the insertion position (I) the filling head (30) is spaced from the receiving flask (20). In the carbonating position, the receiving flask (20) and the filling head (30) are in contact with each other such as to form a substantially closed cavity (19). An interlocking connection directly connects the receiving flask (20) to the filling head (30).
