Abstract: A miniature switching unit including two fixed contact pieces arranged one above the other and fixed to terminals, respectively, and a movable contact piece. Each of the fixed contact pieces is made of springy wire members and includes parallel portions having equal inner distances, respectively. The movable contact piece in the form of a rod having a thickness slightly larger than the inner distances of the parallel portions of the fixed contact pieces and includes an intermediate insulator, an upper conductor axially, concentrically and integrally connected to the upper end of the intermediate insulator and a forward conductor axially, concentrically and integrally connected to the lower end of the intermediate insulator.

Abstract: A method for drilling holes in soil or rock, especially for producing prestressed ground anchorage. A hole is drilled by a drill column formed of lengths of pipe with a drill bit driven by a rotary and/or percussive drive. The wall of the borehole is supported by a casing formed of lengths of pipe driven by a rotary and/or percussive drive of a drilling tool. The lengths of pipe of the drill column and the casing are taken from a magazine by machine and transferred back to the magazine after drilling the hole. Each length of pipe for the drill column is taken sequentially from the magazine by the drive of the drilling tool for the drill column and each length of pipe for the casing is taken sequentially from the magazine by the drive of the drilling tool for the casing. Each length of pipe for the drill column and each length of pipe for the casing is returned sequentially to the magazine.

Abstract: A chair having a seat portion connected to a backrest portion which are to be upholstered and an edge guard for the perimetric edges of the backrest portion including a substantially rigid support member for providing structural support to the backrest portion, a transparent substantially flexible tube positioned about the perimetric edges of the support member and having an interior channel therein, a core member positioned within the interior channel of the tube, a transparent substantially flexible protective member positioned over the tube and a first fastening member for securing the protective member to the support member with the tube being captured therebetween so that the core member is visible through the tube and the protective member.

Abstract: A method and device for diverting water away from a building foundation and insulating the soil surrounding the foundation. The method includes excavating a trench in the soil at least about a portion of the perimeter of a new or existing building foundation, the trench having a predetermined depth, a first side wall defined by the building foundation, a bottom surface defined by the soil having a predetermined slope extending away from the building foundation a predetermined distance and a second side wall opposite the first side wall and defined by the soil. A first insulated waterproof diverter member is placed within a portion of trench for diverting water away from the foundation and reducing the frost penetration depth within the soil surrounding the foundation.

Abstract: The invention related generally to the preparation of colloidal metal(O) particles having a crosslinked aminodextran coating with pendent amine groups attached thereto. The aminodextran acts as both a reductant for reducing metal ions to metal(O) particles and as the protective agent which coats the metal(O) particles thus formed. After stabilizing the aminodextran coating by use of a crosslinking agent, the coated particles can be used to covalently bind proteins. The resulting protein containing colloidal particles can be used as markers in optical and electron microscopy, in immunological and biological assays, and possibly as therapeutic agents.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a plug connector having a plug shell formed with a flange and a receptacle connector having a receptacle shell provided on its outer circumference with a fitting device. The electrical connector further includes a coupling ring surrounding the plug shell and rotatable and holding the flange of the plug shell. The coupling ring has on its inner circumference a fitting device fitted with the first mentioned fitting device and a flange urging portion for urging the flange. Abstract: A dental instrument has a stem which presents, besides helicoidal ramps providing helicoidal cutting edges, annular grooves of V-shaped cross-section and spaced apart. One of the faces of each of the grooves is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the instrument. Due to the grooves, the instrument can be used not only as a reamer, with a rotative movement, but also as a file, with a back and forth movement when the faces of the grooves produce a scraping effect on the wall of the root canal being treated.

Abstract: Method of producing a data processing care by thermo-moulding a mixture of pulverulent polycarbonate with lamp-black at a proportion of 8 ppm of lamp-black with respect to the basic thermo-hardenable material. The inner face of the wall of the mould which gives rise to the front face of the card has a checkered pattern, the distance between the recesses, respectively the protrusions, of the checkered pattern being a multiple of the wave length of the laser ray used for applying on the card the contrasted signs. A laser tube piloted by a piloting unit including a program containing the indications which are to appear on the card, is used for directing a laser radiation onto the card. The infrared rays are absorbed by the lamp-black contained in the mass of the material of the card which is heated, thereby producing a change of color resulting in appearance of signs such as a signature and a photograph on the front face of the card.

Abstract: An electrical connector having a cover case for fixing therein the connector. The cover case consists of two case halves arranged one upon the other. The cover case having at a take-up opening of a cable an inner sleeve through which the cable passes. The inner sleeve consists of two semicylinders fixed to the casing halves, respectively. The cover case further has an outer sleeve which, after the inner sleeve is covered by the outer sleeve, is caulked to provide urging force onto the inner sleeve against its outer surface. Abutment edges of the two semicylinders of the inner sleeve are formed as wave-shaped edges waved in the abutment plane of the abutment edges so that the wave-shaped edges of one semicylinder are not coincident with the wave-shape edges of the other semicylinder. In another embodiment, abutment edges of the two semicylinders of the inner sleeve are provided with projecting plate members extending in the abutment plane of the abutment edges.

Abstract: Foldable link rod system to be placed on a travelling frame comprises pivotally suspended link rods (16, 18) for raising and lowering an operation platform (14). A rotating stool (20) constitutes the connection between two link rods (16 and 18) which are placed in continuation to each other. The one part of the rotating stool (20) is linked to the free end of the first link rod (16) which at its opposite end is pivotally linked to a swinging rod system (26, 28, 30, 32). The second link rod (18) is linked to the other part of the rotating stool and at its other end it is linked to the operation platform (14). The two link rods are pivotal by means of each of their swinging devices (54-70) which are supported on the travelling frame (10, 12) and the rotating stool (20), respectively.

The contact portions of the signal contacts and the contact portions of the ground contacts are arranged in every pair in one row and also the other row. The contact portions of the signal contacts of two adjacent pairs are arranged in different rows and the contact portions of the ground contacts of the two adjacent pairs are arranged in different rows. In another aspect, the contact portions of the pairs of contacts of odd numbers and even numbers are arranged in every pair in one row and also in the other row, respectively, so that the signal contacts and the ground contacts are alternately arranged.

The handpiece is provided with a potentiometer operable by a roller and connected, by a low voltage line incorporated in a steam conduit, to an electronic circuit which controls a motorized electro-valve for adjustment of the flow of steam. A switch mounted in series with the potentiometer, also carried by the handpiece, enables the steam flow to be interrupted completely.

The instruments of the set are distributed in groups of three having, in each group, a common diameter D1 measured at the root of its terminal point. In each group, the diameter D2 measured at the root of the cutting lips of a conical stem of the instrument is different, from one instrument to the next one of the group. Thus, the conicity of the three instruments of each group increases from one to the next, which enables a practitioner to ream out dental root canals to impart thereto a more wide-mouthed shape than is usually the case, such shape being especially suitable to be sealed by means of gutta-percha.

Abstract: A device for recognizing latent information including an asymmetrical reading head in the form of a truncated cone which is inclined (oblique). The image of the latent information furnished by the reading head is deformed or "warped" with respect to the image which would be furnished by a perfectly symmetrical reading head (a right truncated cone). Hence, different categories of users of an installation can be provided with device having different reading heads furnishing each user with a proper image for the information he is permitted to access so as to prevent access to non-permitted information, each category of users having access to a part of the information corresponding to the specific image furnished by the proper reading head of his device.
