Abstract: A casting element formed of a pliable material and shaped so as to be applied directly to an articulator support component. A casting element set is provided, particularly when the articulator has different configured upper and lower support components to which the casting elements are releasably set in position. The casting elements preferably include a pliable main body such as one of rubber or other conforming material such as silicone and are shaped to conform with the particular articulators' support configuration. This arrangement allows for casting of models for dental prosthesis directly on the articulator.

Abstract: A card reader with dual-headed card slot, comprising a main unit, two magnetic heads, a circuit board and a power cord. Near the center part of the main unit are two side walls forming a card slot, on each of the two side walls is an opening and a magnetic head fixing unit. The two magnetic heads are respectively fixed on two spring plates. The spring plates are then fixed to the magnetic head fixing unit on the main unit, so that the front end of the magnetic head is extending through the opening of the main unit to the inside of the card slot; the circuit board is fixed on the outside of one side wall of the main unit, and on a position of which corresponding to the magnetic head is an opening, the opening serves as the space to the extending and retracting movement of the magnetic head during the card reading process, so that the magnetic head will not be jammed, and on the circuit board is a power cord socket, into the power cord socket is inserted a power cord.

Abstract: An enclosing mousetrap includes a tubular housing, trap plates at each end, and a hanging hook for connecting the trap plates to the tubular housing. The ends of the tubular housing and the trap plates each contain a pair of holes through which the hanging hooks are engaged to connect the trap plates to the tubular housing. The extended end legs of the hanging hooks clip over cutouts formed in the rim of the tubular housing. The trap plates each have a curved shape and freely swing inward to allow a mouse to have easy access into the interior of the tubular housing. Once inside, however, the mouse cannot exit the tubular housing because the first and second trap plates are disposed such that when the trap plates are pushed outward with respect to the interior of the tubular housing, a lower periphery of the trap plates engages with an inner wall of the tubular housing, which stops the trap plates from swinging outside the tubular housing.

Abstract: This invention is to provide an electric means for driving a single-coil motor, which includes three diodes, a capacitor, and a coil-drive integrated circuit. The electric means of the invention is simple and compact, and it costs lower. Since there is only one coil in the single-coil motor, it is noiseless. In addition, the electric means of the invention can absorb the sudden peak of the voltage induced by the coil of the sinqle-coil motor.

Abstract: A savings coin box with controllable music box which includes a body, a music box, a control device and other elements. The music box is transversely positioned on the supporting disk on the cylindrical body, and a control device is installed above the music box. According to this structure, when a coin is thrown from a guiding rail, the extending rod of the control device is driven so that the music box will not be confined and the potential power is released. When the control disk of the control device is rotated through a predetermined angle, the music box is again limited by the extending rod, and then it is stopped.

Abstract: A document feeder which has a document transportation path curved with a curvature radius such that a document original is reversed and fed therethrough to a document setting surface. The document feeder further includes a pair of rollers respectively disposed inside and outside of the curvature of the document transportation path in an opposed relation and adapted to hold the document original therebetween for guiding the document original to the document setting surface. The rollers abut against each other in a position upstream of the vertex of the curvature of the document transportation path with respect to a document transportation direction.

Abstract: A handy type curve length measuring apparatus includes a pen-holder like body, a caster rotatably connected with the body so as to rotate around a rotation axis and having a disk including slits, light emitting device, light detecting device and an indicator. When the disk rolls on a curved line, the slits provided on the disk cross the beam of light emitted from the light emitting device so as to generate pulses. The light detecting device counts the number of these pulses and the indicator displays a length of the curve based on the number of detected pulses. Since the apparatus can trace curved lines without rotating the body due to the caster mechanism, an accurate and easy measurement of length can be attained.

Abstract: A waterproof case for receiving a circuit board includes a housing, a cover and a waterproof washer. The inner edge of the opening end of the housing is formed into a slant inner edge, and a closed end of the housing is provided with supporting members for supporting the circuit board. The cover is attached to the opening end of the housing, and has an annular flange for mounting the waterproof washer, mounting members for mounting the circuit board, and a through hole for wires. When fixing the cover onto the housing by appropriate fastening members, the waterproof washer will be pushed by the cover and abut against the slant inner edge, and thereby achieve the seal between the cover and the housing.

Abstract: Apparatus for abrasive blasting of the bottom of a ship in a drydock includes a blast head mounted on a vertically swinging boom on a vehicle. The blast head has freedom of movement about two pivot axes which are not parallel to each other. One of the pivot axes is coincident with the longitudinal axis of the boom. The center of gravity of the blast head is below the pivot axes when the blast opening normally faces upwardly. The boom and blast head are raised by double acting hydraulic cylinders which hold the blast head against the ship with a constant force. The blast head has a side edge which extends laterally at least to the side edge of the vehicle to facilitate blasting adjacent to obstacles under the hull. An overhung load adapter connects the blast wheel to its motor to minimize radial loads on the blast wheel motor. In the blast head, a stream of blasting material falling toward a main hopper is subjected to a transverse air stream which laterally deflects lighter particles into a debris channel.

Abstract: A metering valve for dispensing an accurately metered dose of a product includes a valve stem having at one end a piston extending within and slidable relative to a cup shaped valve body. A spring member urges the piston against a base of the valve body. Movement of the valve stem against the spring action causes the piston to move away from the base of the valve body to define a temporary metering chamber between the valve stem and valve body. A clearance between an outer surface of the piston and an inner surface of the valve body provides a path for the product to flow from the container to the metering chamber. A seal within the container is contacted by an end of the piston to prevent the flow of product along the path, and the product is dispensed from the temporary metering chamber through an outlet in the valve stem.

Abstract: A single wafer heat treatment apparatus in which an object to be treated placed on a susceptor supported on a heat insulating member is heat-treated by indirectly heating the object to be treated by means of heating lamps disposed under the susceptor, characterized in that a gas entry preventive member for preventing process gas from being turned about the back surface of the susceptor is provided on a peripheral edge portion of the back surface of the susceptor. With this, process gas having entered the back surface of the susceptor is consumed by the adherence of a formed film to the surface of the gas entry preventive member.

Abstract: A method for expanding hot keys on a keyboard is provided wherein the standard key codes for alphabets A-Z, numbers 1-0, functional keys F1-F12, can be combined with E0 code of special key of the IBM keyboard, accordingly, a new expanding codes are established, These so defined extendible codes are supported by the application program of the Windows to increase the utilization of the hot keys. These extendible codes are completely compatible with IBM PC. Besides, interference resulted from expanding the utilization scope of the standard codes of the operating system can be avoided.
