  • Patent number: 7840749
Abstract: Area management information is cached in a cache memory by controlling the access size when an information processor accesses the area management information in an information recording medium. When the processing content of the information processor is to retrieve a free area from the area management information, a physical management block size determined from the physical characteristics of the information recording medium is used. When the processing content is to acquire a link destination from the area management information, minimum access unit of the information recording medium is used. Consequently, overhead can be lessened when the area management information is accessed.

  • Patent number: 7832650
Abstract: A hot water-water mixing faucet holds a control valve body in a balanced position between a bias spring and a temperature-sensitive coil spring. An adjusting screw 6a supports the bias spring in an axial direction to change setting of the supporting position of the bias spring, and a rear end side of the bias spring is supported by a supporting member which is formed separately from the adjusting screw. The supporting member is slidably inserted in the axial direction into a through-hole provided on the adjusting screw and is connected detachably to the adjusting screw by an abutting section provided in an area protruding from the through-hole toward the bias spring side. A lifting spring biases the supporting member to pull the supporting member back toward the side opposite to the bias spring to the adjusting screw 6a.

  • Patent number: 7835010
Abstract: A tunable light source 10 for varying emission wavelength periodically and an optical interferometer are used. A reflector is disposed at a measurement position, a light interference signal is A/D converted at a regular time interval, and data numbers at timing giving peak and bottom are calculated according to a least-squares method. Based on this, an approximate equation is calculated according to polynomial approximation and a sequence including the number of exponentiation of 2 and converting the data number at a regular frequency interval is calculated. Then, by disposing a measured target at the measurement position, calculating the necessary number of pieces of data for FFT from measured data at each timing according to straight-line approximation and Fourier transforming a light beat signal obtained by an optical interferometer at regular frequency interval, a tomogram having high resolution and high sensitivity can be acquired.

  • Patent number: 7806077
Abstract: Microwave plasma nozzle array systems and methods for configuring the microwave plasma nozzle arrays are disclosed. The microwaves are transmitted to a microwave cavity in a specific manner and form an interference pattern that includes high-energy regions within the microwave cavity. The high-energy regions are controlled by the phases and the wavelengths of the microwaves. A plurality of nozzle elements is provided in the array. Each of the nozzle elements has a portion partially disposed in the microwave cavity and receives a gas for passing therethrough. The nozzle elements receive microwave energy from one of the high-energy regions. Each of the nozzle elements include a rod-shaped conductor having a tip that focuses the microwaves and a plasma is then generated using the received gas.

  • Patent number: 7791778
Abstract: An image processing apparatus comprises a boundary line position storage section storing position information on boundary lines for dividing an image according to an image data unit into regions; a position information changing section to change the position information on boundary lines; and a dividing section to divide the image data unit into partial image data units corresponding to the respective regions. When a boundary line stored in the boundary line position storage section is across a principal part of the image, the position information changing section changes the position of the boundary line so as not to be across the principal part. When the regions divided by the boundary lines stored in the boundary line position storage section, includes a region that exceeds the maximum print size, the position information changing section changes the positions of boundary lines so that any region does not exceed the maximum print size.

  • Patent number: 7777957
Abstract: A light from an optical fiber is incident on a dispersive element via an optical circulator and an optical fiber. The dispersive element disperses the incident light toward directions different depending on wavelength to apply the dispersed lights to a lens. The lens focuses the lights at positions different for each wavelength of the light. The patterning plate has desired reflection characteristics. The lights reflected on the patterning plate are multiplexed by the dispersive element through the identical path to be emitted from an optical fiber via the optical circulator. Desired characteristics can be obtained by arbitrarily changing a pattern with reflection characteristics of the patterning plate. In addition, a characteristic of the optical filter can be changed by moving the patterning plate.

  • Patent number: 7743953
Abstract: A brassiere holder is presented that includes two cup receiving portions, a connecting portion and a hook portion. When the cup receiving portions are pressed from the side, the connecting portion is elastically deformed to allow the two cup receiving portions to be folded back on each other such that a part of a flange portion of the two cup receiving portions is brought into contact with the other part of the flange portion and a gap gradually increasing toward the upper side is formed between the two cup receiving portions. In this manner, since the cup portions of the brassiere are formed in a shape similar to a shape obtained in a state in which a three-dimensional shape of a breast of a human being is folded into two, the cup portions are positioned as they are under their current state and are put in a soft net bag.
