    Abstract: A filter unit for fluids, the filter unit comprising a filter housing with at least one filter disposed therein, at least one fluid feed line, at least one purified fluid outlet line, and at least one unpurified fluid outlet line, each of which lines is provided with a valve. The filter is sealingly seated in the filter housing in an area between the fluid feed line and the purified fluid outlet line. The filter is in the form of a conical cylinder. The wide opening of the filter faces toward the fluid feed line and the underside of the filter forms a narrower opening sealingly disposed in an intermediate plate in the filter housing. A dirt funnel is disposed below the intermediate plate. A cleaning element is rotatably seated inside the filter housing which can be lowered into the filter from a filtration position into a cleaning position.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for the removal of hydrogen sulfide (H.sub.2 S) from gaseous streams, particularly concentrations of H.sub.2 S lower than 100 ppm. The invention is particularly useful for removing H.sub.2 S from natural gas. The invention involves contacting a gaseous stream containing hydrogen sulfide with a sorbent solution comprising a substantially non-aqueous solvent having a low vapor pressure and a high donor number, such as dimethyl sulfoxide, a concentration of a polyvalent reducible metal ion in an oxidative state sufficient to oxidize the hydrogen sulfide to form at least one soluble sulfur compound, such as Fe.sup.3+, and a counter-ion for the metal ion, such as Cl.sup.- ; and regenerating the oxidative state of the metal ion reduced by the hydrogen sulfide.

    Abstract: A method for packaging cans or tubes continuously delivered from a production installation to pick-up elements, which are moved in steps, of an intermediate station. A gripper device brings the cans or tubes in groups according to the desired number of pieces in a packaging layer to a delivery station. Each can or tube is deposited into a support element, after which the cans or tubes are pushed together out of the support elements into a loading station. The cans or tubes are placed at equal distances into the pick-up elements, wherein individual support elements are placed apart from each other at a predetermined distance. The cans or tubes are then deposited into the support elements at distances predetermined by the pick-up elements. The support elements are subsequently moved together until they touch each other, whereupon the cans or tubes are then pushed into the loading station. This method allows the use of the same apparatus for different can diameters with minimal changing effort.

A strip of the tactile material is applied along one side of the base material of the multi-package carrier. The base material containing the tactile material is then cut into multi-package carriers such that the tactile material traverses a center portion of a container contacting surface of the multi-package carrier. The multi-package carrier is applied to a plurality of containers. After the multi-package carrier is applied to the containers, the tactile material between the rows of containers is in close contact with an upper portion of the container sidewall.

    Abstract: A cylindrical cutting element for a cutting machine which includes base ps arranged at a uniform distance from each other. A chisel holder which receives an exchangeable chisel is secured with respect to each base element. The chisel holder has a plug connector which allows the chisel holder to be inserted into a plug receiver of the base element, where it is held by a pressure screw on the base part that grips the plug connector. To relieve the plug connector from the forces acting on the chisel, the base part has a projection which extends in an approximately parallel direction to the running direction of the cutting element and a stop that follows the projection in the running direction and forms an angle therewith. The stop limits the insertion of the chisel holder into the base element and absorbs forces transmitted through the chisel to the chisel holder.

The active substance is injected with a constant volume flow of treatment medium in an amount determined by calculation of an individual adjustment value of active substance for each nozzle. The total of the individual partial adjustment values does not exceed the total adjustment value of the active substance.
