    Abstract: A bowstring release apparatus having a housing and a release arm projecting from the housing. A flexible cord is secured with respect to the release arm and thereby forms a gap between the release arm and the flexible cord, when the bowstring release apparatus is in a loaded position. Upon release of the flexible cord with respect to the release arm, the bowstring release apparatus moves from a loaded position toward an unloaded position. A longitudinal axis of the release arm is positioned generally parallel to a direction of travel along which a bowstring moves, when the bowstring release apparatus moves from the loaded position to the unloaded position. Contact between the flexible cord and the bowstring preferably does not exceed an approximately 90.degree. arc section of an outer circumferential surface of the bowstring.

The residue is preferably derived from an anaerobic digestion process of municipal solid waste, raw sewage sludge, biomass feedstock, industrial waste, agricultural waste or mixtures thereof. The volatile solid fossil fuel preferably contains a coal constituent of lignite, anthracite coal, meta-anthracite coal, bituminous coal and/or sub-bituminous coal. Regardless of whether the solid fuel contains only recycled residue or recycled residue bound with a volatile solid fossil fuel, the solid fuel can be formed into pellets or energy cubes.

    Abstract: A control cabinet with an open bottom, which is enclosed by legs of a frame and can be closed off by individual bottom plates which can be placed side-by-side. The individual bottom plates rest with their short sides on a support shoulder of the facing frame legs and are connected with these frame legs. The bottom plates have an edge that is twice bent along at least one long side, wherein sealing strips seal the abutting long sides of adjacent bottom plates and where cables are introduced through cutouts in the bottom. Individual insertion and assured sealing of the individual cables, together with extensive adaptation and expansion possibilities is achieved with at least a portion of the bottom plates having cutouts spaced along the long side with the edge. Cable bushings which have stepped, offset bushing pieces with different interior diameters are insertable into the cutouts.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for eliciting a physiologically significant cough reflex, such as in a quadriplegic patient. The apparatus preferably has at least one pair of electrodes which are positioned about or near the abdominal muscles. The user generates an input signal. The input signal and a stimulus pulse signal are computed into an output signal. Prior to the delivery of the output signal, alerting signals are delivered to the user to alert the user of an upcoming cough and the onset of pulse electrical voltage to allow the user to engage appropriate volitional activity to optimally engage and complete the cough. The output signal is transformed into a pulse electrical voltage which is delivered across each pair of electrodes. Such pulse electrical voltage activates the lower motor neurons and thereby contracts the abdominal muscles to elicit a physiologically significant cough reflex.
