  • Patent number: 3973112
Abstract: A system for determining the transfer function of a specimen from an input or driving signal and an output or response signal. The driving signal and response signal are each divided into segments or frames of data, each frame of equal duration and a sum is formed for each frame of data. A time-domain to frequency-domain transform is taken of the two sums; the transfer function is then determined from the transformed data.

  • Patent number: 3971207
Abstract: A packing means for waterproofing a watch case having a non-conductive, flexible ring portion and a conductive yet flexible arm member is disclosed. The packing device is disposed in a watch case and allows for an electrical connection to be made between the watch and an external device. The ring member is made of a resilient, non-conductive, flexible material and is disposed in the watch case so as to be sandwiched between the top and bottom members thereof. At least one arm member also made of a resilient flexible material having first and second ends is coupled to the ring and extends into the center thereof. However, the arm member is conductive and electrically couples the watch (the internal components) with the external device. The arm member is coupled to the ring member such that the substantially watertight seal in the watch case is not destroyed.

  • Patent number: 3964655
Abstract: A pair of endless moving link chains have respective spans which are disposed in opposed relationship and driven in the same direction. One of the pair of the link chains carries thereon outwardly projecting blank holding pins at intervals along the length of the chain, while the other link chain carries thereon outwardly projecting sheet product pushing out pins. The spans of the link chains are disposed in converging relationship with respect to the moving direction of the spans. A blank comprising at least one sheet having cut lines defining a sheet product is supplied into the space between the spans at the upstream end of the space with respect to the moving direction. As the blank is conveyed between the spans the sheet product pushing out pins move transversely relative to and toward the blank holding pins because of the convergence of the spans and finally push out the sheet product from the remaining part of the blank which is being held by the blank holding pins.

  • Patent number: 3960126
Abstract: A pressure regulator of the liquefied-gas fuel system for internal combustion engines has two cooperative diaphragms which partition the space inside the regulator body into three separate chambers. The diaphragms are operatively connected by a spring disposed therebetween, the first one defining two of the three chambers, namely a pressure-regulating chamber and a back-pressure chamber, and the second one defining the back-pressure chamber and a suction-pressure chamber. In the pressure-regulating chamber is installed a valve whose opening is controlled by the first diaphragm to control the supply of the liquefied-gas fuel. The second diaphragm is moved according to the intake-manifold vacuum, and the first diaphragm is correspondingly moved to control the valve, thus regulating the pressure of the fuel in the pressure-regulating chamber.

Abstract: A number of elementary units each including an elementary plate member are arrayed in rows and columns to provide a screen, with each elementary plate member pivotally supported so as to be independently reversible as to its front and rear faces to be exhibited to the viewer. Both faces of each elementary plate member are imbued with different colors clearly distinguishable from each other. Pneumatic actuating means comprising air nozzles or slide valves for producing controlled currents of air under pressure are arranged behind the array of elementary plate members in a manner such that the elementary plate members are selectively reversed as to their front and rear faces, in the order of successive rows or columns, for the display of any desired graphic or alphanumeric pattern. The elementary unit itself can be used as a display device if the front and rear faces of the elementary plate bear necessary letters or patterns thereon.
