Abstract: In an apparatus for profile grinding a closed curved surface such as a trochoidal curved surface of the type wherein the attitude of a worktable which supports a workpiece is profile controlled in accordance with a master profile corresponding to the closed curved surface to be formed in the workpiece, the axis of a grinding wheel is maintained at a fixed position, a mechanical information is generated by the cooperation of a master cam having a peripheral profile corresponding to the profile of the closed curved surface and a master cam normally urged against the peripheral profile, and the attitude of the worktable is controlled in accordance with the mechanical information. Where a grinding wheel having a diameter different from a predetermined value is used, a primary feed calculated by an equation to be described later is applied to the grinding wheel thus enabling to use a grinding wheel of any diameter.
Abstract: A serial memory employing a plurality of charge-coupled shift registers fabricated with MOS technology and using double layer polycrystalline silicon gates. Each shift register includes two pairs of parallel channels; charge flows in opposite directions in each pair of channels. Multiplexing is utilized to refresh charge between each pair of channels through two refreshing amplifiers, one disposed at each end of the channels. The topographical efficiency of the design permits fabrication of a dense memory.
Abstract: This chain printer has a type chain which includes an endless flexible belt capable of installing numerous type slugs. Each print slug includes a printing portion containing at least one type character and a pair of cantilevers extending from the printing portion. The print slugs are changeably mounted onto the belt by means of a U-shaped spring which permits a better printing performance and a simplified type-changing process.
Abstract: An electronic wristwatch with an electronic sound emitter device which provides greatly improved efficiency in the quality and quantity of the sound emitted with a minimum number of elements. The results, in general, are obtained by arranging the elements in such a manner that a suitable signal is presented to the sound emitter driving device upon the coincidence of a preset time and the time given by a time display device.
Abstract: An impingement separator for gas-liquid mixtures, in which at least two separating elements are spaced apart and held upright substantially in parallel to each other so as to provide a passage or passages for liquid-carrying gases. Each element consists of two outer plates bent in a zigzag fashion and spaced in a substantially parallel fashion with horizontal slits formed in the plate portions where the direction of the flow along the plate surfaces is deflected, and a bent inner plate intervening between the outer plates thereby defining liquid passages each facing one of the slits, so that an upward or downward stream or streams of the mixture impinge upon the baffling sections of the outer plates and the liquid is thereby separated out into the liquid passages through the slits and is collected away from the fluid.

Abstract: This invention is designed to greatly improve the existing pet toilets by arranging a filter in such a manner that a filter belt is mounted for relative movement, and the solid waste on the filter drops into a small receptacle at one side of the box, while the liquid flows down into another small receptacle, whereby both liquid and solid wastes are very easily and sanitarily removed.
Abstract: A TTL compatible erasable programmable read-only memory (PROM) which uses a single n-channel device having a floating gate for each memory cell. The entire memory including the periphery circuits, are disposed on a silicon substrate. Only a single externally generated high voltage input or "pin" is required for programming.
Abstract: A metal-oxide-silicon (MOS), random-access memory (RAM) which is emitter-coupled logic (ECL) compatible and which does not require any high level clock inputs. The memory utilizes pseudo-static cells which are refreshed with an asynchronous charge-pump signal generated on the memory chip. Buffers utilize the ECL reference signal to assure ECL compatibility. The memory employs dynamic decoding in two separate levels of decoding.

Abstract: An MOS dynamic buffer circuit described in terms of an inverter and used for inverting a timing signal is disclosed. Through the use of bootstrapping, the output from the inverter is equal to the voltage used to drive the inverter without having conduction through the output transistor when the inverter is not supplying an output signal. Thus, the inverter does not require the large amounts of standby power associated with prior art circuits.
Abstract: In a method for injection moulding of the type wherein gas or vapor evolved from the resin being moulded is vent through a vent opening provided for a heated cylinder at an intermediate point thereof, the vent opening is maintained at a reduced pressure during metering and a small quantity of vaporizable liquid is admitted into the vent opening during injection for increasing the pressure therein.
Abstract: A bipolar random access memory cell is disclosed using a pair of transistors cross-coupled in a flip flop configuration with the transistors connected to operate in the inverted mode, that is, the collectors as emitters and the emitters as collectors. This allows an integrated circuit realization of a random access memory having only one and one-half isolation regions per row of memory cells. Forming the flip flop load resistors by the emitter-pinched base method compensates the cell for process variations to result in substantially constant read/write characteristics.
Abstract: A two-cycle engine system of the crankcase precompression type comprising the combination of a first engine, a second engine and a combustion chamber provided with an ignition plug constructed in such a manner that the second engine is mounted in parallel and adjacent to the first engine with the combustion chamber interconnecting the first and second engines, whereby the construction becomes very compact. A rich air-fuel mixture is supplied into the combustion chamber through the second engine for ignition and a lean mixture (or air) is supplied into the first engine for scavenging and combustion so that the system provides a very compact design as well as a satisfactory performance in the reduction of the amount of harmful components in the exhaust gases.
Abstract: A feedback circuit for feeding back a signal to control the charging of a sense node in a static MOS memory. A signal from a sense amplifier is fed back to prevent the node from dropping below a predetermined potential and to prepare the node to be recharged. This in turn allows the pull-up transistor to have a higher resistance allowing the node to be more quickly discharged.
