  • Patent number: 8267856
Abstract: The invention relates to a laryngoscope spatula with a spatula blade. The spatula blade, in cross section, has two side walls, which are spaced apart from each other along at least part of the length of the spatula blade, and two limbs. A first limb extends from the first side wall to beyond the second side wall, and a second limb extends from the second side wall to beyond the first side wall. The side walls and the limbs thus form a cavity. The spatula blade is composed of an upper shell and a lower shell which, in cross section, each have a first portion and two mutually oppositely directed second and third portions. The second portions of the upper shell and lower shell, lying flat on each other, form the first limb, and the third portions, lying flat on each other, form the second limb, while the first portions form the side walls. The invention further relates to a method for producing a spatula blade of such a laryngoscope spatula.

  • Patent number: 8265779
Abstract: A method is disclosed for automatic estimation of backlash in a control system which includes a controller and a process to be controlled, wherein said controller is capable of performing integrating control of said process using one or more controller parameters to control a process output signal of said process with respect to a setpoint value thereof. The method involves monitoring said process output signal to determine a value reflecting momentary differences between setpoint value and actual value of said process output signal during a time interval; and estimating the backlash from said determined value and said one or more controller parameters.

  • Patent number: 8256627
Abstract: A snap-mount blanking panel for an equipment rack or cabinet enclosure has ergonomic grips spaced laterally inwardly and offset forwardly to permit comfortable and reliable mounting and removal of the blanking panel regardless of lateral clearance. A special stacking structure engages the grips in a manner to position a blanking panel, when stacked upon a lower blanking panel, in a fixed and stabilized relation to the lower blanking panel. The stacking features enable stable stacking of multiple units, one on top of another, without requiring external confinement of the stack.
