Abstract: A loudspeaker including a frame and a toroidal magnet that is affixed to the rear of the frame. The toroidal magnet has a central passageway that opens into the frame. A cap is affixed to the rear of the magnet and closes the central passageway. A guide rod is affixed to the cap and projects forwardly from the cap into the central passageway. A tubular former is slidably positioned upon the guide rod. A voice coil is wound about, and is affixed to, the tubular former. A driver plate is affixed to the front of the tubular former. A resilient surround connects the periphery of the driver plate to the front of the frame. A suspension assembly resiliently connects the tubular former to the frame and has a pair of conical diaphragms that are secured together so as to form a bellows. A spider connects the bellows to the frame and another spider connects the bellows to the tubular former.

Abstract: A gunstock including a barrel brace and a pistol grip projecting downwardly from the rear of the barrel brace. An X-shaped crosspiece projects rearwardly from the pistol grip. A butt projects rearwardly from the crosspiece. A handle projects forwardly from the bottom of the pistol grip.

Abstract: A wind turbine for generating electricity has been developed. The turbine includes a housing for securement to a support. A wheel is mounted within the housing and is rotatable about a horizontal axis. The wheel has an axle assembly and a number of blade assemblies affixed thereto. Each of the blade assemblies has a frame with a spaced-apart pair of uprights and a crosspiece connecting the uprights. Each of the blade assemblies also having a pair of movable blades positioned within the frame with each of the blades being hingedly fastened to a respective one of the uprights. A brake actuator assembly is associated with each of the blades for relieving pressure imparted by strong winds on the blades. A brake operator assembly, disposed principally within said axle assembly, synchronizes the movement of the blades. An electrical current generator is connected to the wheel so as to be powered thereby.

Abstract: A handheld sander having an abrasive roller and a flexible drive shaft that is connected at the outer end thereof to the roller and is connected at the inner end thereof to an electric motor. A handle encloses the motor. An extension arm extends from the handle and encloses the drive shaft.

Abstract: A plunger assembly including a pony rod adapter, a plunger releasably attached to the pony rod adapter, and a pony rod being releasably attached to the pony rod adapter. The pony rod adapter has a first cylindrical body and a number of apertures penetrating the first cylindrical body for receiving a lever. A first helically threaded pin is affixed to the first cylindrical body and projects from one of its ends. A second helically threaded pin is affixed to the first cylindrical body and projects from the other of its ends. The plunger has a second cylindrical body for reciprocating within a pumping chamber. The second cylindrical body has a first outer end with a first helically threaded bore for threadably receiving the first helically threaded pin. The second cylindrical body also has a first inner end with a polygonal socket for receiving a plunger key. The pony rod has a third cylindrical body for reciprocating into, and out of, the power end of a pump.

Abstract: A valve insert including a ring made of a resilient material. The ring has a shape that is defined by the rotation of an irregular polygon around a central axis. Superposing a quadrilateral and a circle forms the irregular polygon.

Abstract: A connecting rod including a shaft, a link attached to the shaft, and a number of threaded fasteners for attaching the link to the shaft. The shaft has a major flange affixed to one of its opposed ends that can be attached to a bearing housing. A minor flange is affixed to the other of the opposed ends of the shaft and has a cylindrical concavity in its top. The minor flange has a shoulder portion and a pair of arm portions that radiate outwardly and upwardly from the shoulder portion. A link has a ring that is snugly, yet releasably, positioned within the cylindrical concavity.

Abstract: A suction valve seat and guide assembly has an outer ring and a peripheral flange projecting outwardly from the bottom of the outer ring, and an inner surface with a top part sloping downwardly and inwardly toward the center of the outer ring. The outer ring has an outer surface that slopes upwardly and inwardly from the flange. The guide has an inner ring positioned within the outer ring and a number of spaced-apart fins connecting the inner ring to the outer ring. A retainer has an internal passageway, an externally threaded, upper segment within the top of which is fitted the peripheral flange of the seat; a middle segment that is affixed to the bottom of the upper segment and has a polygonal cross section for easy gripping by a wrench; and, a bottom segment that is affixed to the bottom of the middle segment.

Abstract: A fishing rig that reduces the likelihood of snags on submerged objects. The fishing rig includes a flexible rod and a retainer secured to the top of the rod. The retainer has a ring for fastening a fishing line to the rig. A float is secured to the rod adjacent the retainer. A sinker is secured to the bottom of the rod. A spreader is secured to the rod between the retainer and the float. The spreader has a pair of outstretched arms, each of which has an outer end with an aperture therein. Two flexible leaders have inside ends that are connected to the ring and have outside ends extending respectively through the apertures. A fishhook is fastened to the outside end of each one of the flexible leaders.

Abstract: A connecting rod bearing housing includes an attaching portion and a retaining portion releasably joined together. The attaching portion and the retaining portion are each provided with a pair of alignment bores respectively located on opposite sides of the transverse passageway. The alignment bores are registered with one another and partially intersect the transverse passageway. An alignment washer is held within each pair of registered, alignment bores and projects into the transverse passageway. A sleeve-like bearing is positioned within the transverse passageway and has notches for snugly receiving the alignment washers. The washers prevent the rotation of the bearing within the housing.

Abstract: A fingernail polish removing device including a motor having an upwardly extending drive shaft. A drum is positioned above the motor and having an opening in the bottom thereof for receiving the drive shaft. A carriage is positioned within the drum and is secured to the drive shaft for rotation therewith. A sponge is supported for rotation by the carriage. The sponge has a circular band positioned around the drive shaft and a plurality of teeth pointing inwardly from the circular band toward the drive shaft. A handrest is positioned atop the drive shaft for supporting the hand of a user while her fingernails are extended downwardly into the drum and are engaged with the teeth. A wiper is secured to the to the drum and has a wiper bar disposed between the circular band and the drive shaft for sequentially compressing the teeth as the sponge is rotated by the carriage so as to squeeze dirty cleaning solution from the sponge for collection in the bottom of the drum.

Abstract: A camera mount including an adjustable bracket for securement to a tree trunk. The bracket has a base portion for engaging a tree trunk. A carrier portion is pivotally fastened to the base portion for movement around a first horizontal axis. A pivot portion is pivotally fastened to the carrier portion for movement around a second horizontal axis being oriented at right angles to the first horizontal axis. A tree trunk-encircling belt extends through a passageway in the base portion. A hinged support arm extends outwardly from the bracket and is pivotally fastened to the pivot portion.

Abstract: A wind turbine for use in generating electricity. The wind turbine includes a housing being secured atop a tower. A wheel is mounted within the housing and is rotatable about a horizontal axis when struck by winds passing over the front of housing. The wheel has a hub and a number of paddles radiating outwardly from the hub and above the housing. An electrical current generator is connected to the wheel so as to be powered thereby. A wind shield is mounted within the housing for selectively preventing winds passing over the front of the housing from reaching the wheel.

The first side wall has a closed outline defining the plan of a first compartment for holding a plurality of baby wipes. A first lid is hingedly attached to the first side wall for closing the first compartment. A second side wall is affixed to, and extends upwardly from, the base plate. The second side wall has a closed outline defining the plan of a second compartment for holding a tube of ointment. A second lid is hingedly attached to the second side wall for closing the second compartment. A third side wall is affixed to, and extends upwardly from, the base plate. The third side wall is positioned adjacent to the second side wall, outside the second compartment. The third side wall has a closed outline defining the plan of a third compartment for holding a roll of plastic bags. A third lid is hingedly attached to the third side wall for closing the third compartment.
