Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products to implement hardware memory locks are described herein. A system to implement hardware memory locks is provided. The system comprises an off-chip memory coupled to a SOC unit that includes a controller and an on-chip memory. Upon receiving a request from a requester to access a first memory location in the off-chip memory, the controller is enabled to grant access to modify the first memory location based on an entry stored in a second memory location of the on-chip memory. In an embodiment, the on-chip memory is Static Random Access Memory (SRAM) and the off-chip memory is Random Access Memory (RAM).
Abstract: Systems and methods that provide channel bonding in multiple antenna communication systems are provided. In one embodiment, a method for signal transmission over a plurality of antennas of a transmitter may include, for example, one or more of the following: demultiplexing an input signal into a plurality of signal components; assigning each of the signal components to one of a plurality of logical channels; weighting each of the signal components with transmit baseband weight values; combining ones of the resultant weighted signal components to form a plurality of transmit weighted signals, each of the plurality of transmit weighted signals being assigned to one of the plurality of logical channels; and combining groups of the plurality of transmit weighted signals to form a plurality of output signals capable of being used to generate a plurality RF output signals.

Abstract: A method to provide a low-power clock signal or a low-noise clock signal is described herein. It is determined whether a low-power mode or a low-noise mode is in use. A voltage reference input of a low-dropout voltage regulator (LDO) is switched to a low-power voltage reference for low-power mode and to a low-noise voltage reference for low-noise mode. The LDO provides a constant voltage output to a crystal oscillator. A clock signal is generated using the crystal oscillator. The clock signal is limited using a low-power limiter to generate a low-power output clock signal and/or is limited using a low-noise limiter to generate a low-noise clock signal. The low-power output clock signal or the low-noise output clock signal is selected using a mux.
Abstract: A method and system for providing at least one contact in a flash memory device is disclosed. The flash memory device includes a plurality of gate stacks and at lease one component including a polysilicon layer as a top surface. The method and system further include forming a silicide on the top surface of the polysilicon layer and providing an insulating layer covering the plurality of gate stacks, the at least one component and the silicide. The method and system also include etching the insulating layer to provide at least one contact hole. The insulating layer etching step uses the silicide as an etch stop layer to ensure that the insulating etching step does not etch through the polysilicon layer. The method and system also include filling the at least one contact hole with a conductor.

Abstract: The present invention provides systems, methods, computer program products, and combinations and subcombinations thereof for filtering received messages. The invention includes a client system having filtering logic, a statistical classifier module, and a classifier database. The classifier module is automatically trained, without manual intervention, when the score generated by the classifier for a received message is inconsistent with a user-defined authoritative status indication. In addition, the classifier module is initialized using user-identified messages in a ratio representative of the ratio of non-spam to spam messages received by the user.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for determining when a person is snoring by determining a candidate snore event by detecting the occurrence of a person's breath, and detecting the occurrence of a sound event. The method further includes confirming that the candidate snore event is not an isolated snore event by determining that breaths immediately preceding and following the candidate snore event include other candidate snore events.

Abstract: A method and system for simulating, modeling and scheduling equipment preparation procedures in the biopharmaceutical production process is described herein. The use of process vessels in batch process manufacturing is optimized through the use of peak load scheduling frames. The system and method includes the steps of identifying soiled process components and their associated equipment preparation procedures. After the soiled process components are identified, a master list of soiled process components and their associated equipment preparation procedures is generated. After the soiled process components and the equipment preparation procedures are identified, the equipment preparation procedures are scheduled out based on preparation equipment protocols to generate a equipment preparation load summary table. Next, the size and capacity of the preparation equipment is determined based on the information in the load summary table.
Abstract: A method and system for determining investor participation driven stock purchase indices. Raw customer trading data is received from an accounting system. The raw customer trading data is then aggregated to generate daily transaction total counts for all stocks (that is, total shares bought and sold, total market value, etc.) as well as daily transaction total counts for each individual stock. Aggregation of the raw customer data also addresses customer privacy concerns. The aggregated data is processed to produce moving averages, stock purchase indices, and stock rankings. The stock purchase indices are based on a diffusion index technique of segregating buyers from sellers, and with these relative counts, measures the breadth of investor purchasing participation. The stock purchase indices are then displayed to a graphical user interface. The display includes stock buy and sell ranking lists.
Abstract: A method and apparatus within a processing system is provided for associating shadow register sets with interrupt routines. The invention includes a vector generator that receives interrupts, and generates exception vectors to call interrupt routines that correspond to the interrupts. The exception vector considers the type of interrupt and the priority level of the interrupt when selecting the exception vector. Shadow set mapping logic is coupled to the vector generator. The mapping logic contains a number of fields that correspond to the different exception vectors that may be generated. The fields are programmable by kernel mode instructions, and contain data mapping each field to one of a number of shadow register sets. When an interrupt occurs, the vector generator generates a corresponding exception vector. In addition, the shadow set mapping logic looks at the field corresponding to the exception vector, and retrieves the data stored therein.
Abstract: A method for processing wireless information is disclosed and may include performing by one or more circuits within a single-chip multi-band RF receiver, the one or more circuits comprising a filter, generating at least one control signal based on a signal strength of a baseband frequency signal generated by the one or more circuits within the single-chip multi-band RF receiver. A bandwidth of the filter may be adjusted using the generated at least one control signal. The generated baseband frequency signal may be filtered utilizing the bandwidth adjusted filter. A frequency response signal of the filter may be determined using a reference frequency signal. An attenuated reference frequency signal may be generated by attenuating the reference frequency signal. The attenuated reference frequency signal may be compared with the frequency response signal. The at least one control signal may be generated based on the comparison.
Abstract: The present invention provides techniques for granting access to secured data. An access candidate may access some or all of the secured data by gaining access to two sequential levels of security. The first security level secures access to the resources used to manipulate the secured data and the second security level secures access to the secured data by the resources. Attributes associated with the access candidate are considered in deciding whether to grant or deny access to the resources. Based on a comparison of access requirements of the secured data with the applicable attributes of the access candidate, a decision on whether to grant access to the requested portions of the secured data is made. If access is not prohibited, the access candidate may use the resources to access the secured data. If access is prohibited without authorization, a resolution request may be submitted to a resolution authority.

Abstract: An in-browser photo-editing application method and system. The method may typically include retrieving an image for manipulation along with a set of image manipulation instructions at a client computer and engaging a manipulation to the image from the client computer. Then, the client computer records image manipulation instructions simultaneous to displaying user edits. The set of image manipulation instructions are transmitted to the server when a mirror of the user's manipulated image is desired on the server. The server performs the manipulation instructions on its own copy of the original image to produce the mirror image. Copies of the pre-manipulated and post-manipulated image as well as the manipulation instructions may be stored at several locations including the client computer, the server computer or even a remote storage computer.

Abstract: An improved system and approaches for exchanging secured files (e.g., documents) between internal users of an organization and external users are disclosed. A file security system of the organization operates to protect the files of the organization and thus prevents or limits external users from accessing internal documents. Although the external users are unaffiliated with the organization (i.e., not employees or contractors), the external users often have working relationships with internal users. These working relationships (also referred to herein as partner relationships) often present the need for file (document) exchange. According to one aspect, external users having working relationships with internal users are able to be given limited user privileges within the file security system, such that restricted file (document) exchange is permitted between such internal and external users.
