  • Patent number: 8246269
Abstract: An improved surface seeded exposed particulate concrete and method of making the improved surface seeded exposed particulate concrete is disclosed. Small particulate is sprayed over the upper surface of the concrete. The particulate may be sprayed using a material sprayer. The particulate may be uniformly sprayed to distances exceeding twenty feet. The particulate is mixed into a cement paste derived from the concrete mixture using floats. A surface retarder is then applied to cover the concrete surface. Subsequently, any surface film is washed from the surface of the concrete and the concrete is cured. The result is a surface seeded particulate with an exposed surface that is flat and is suitable for high traffic areas. The resultant surface may resemble stone, granite or marble.

  • Patent number: 8240269
Abstract: A cabin enclosure of a boat which is substantially water proof is provided. The cabin enclosure comprises a top, frame with joists attached to joist covers, plurality of windows, flashing and track which are layered upon each other to cascade water down the top, onto the windows and onto the track and into the river, bay or ocean. The plurality of windows may surround the passenger area of the boat and also prevents water from entering the boat. In particular, the plurality of windows are zippered onto adjacent joist covers so as to form a substantially water proof barrier between the interior and exterior of the boat. The flashing may be attached to the interior of the window with hooks and loops which run horizontally across the window and prevent water that splashes under the window from entering into the passenger area.

  • Patent number: 8229671
Abstract: A system and method for optimal placement of a riserless casing in a subsea drilling environment having the steps of: receiving input of pore pressure data for a well site; receiving input of fracture gradient for said well site; receiving input of the anticipated true vertical depth of said well site; integrating pore pressure data, fracture gradient data with said true vertical depth values; computing a pore pressure and fracture gradient verses true vertical depth graph; determining the true vertical depth at which the pore pressure begins to exceed the normal gradient of salt water; and determining the placement of a conductor casing string by corresponding the gradient true vertical depth to the true vertical depth of where the pore pressure beings to exceed the normal gradient of salt water. The method improves upon conventional placement of the riserless casing by optimizing the placement to achieve larger diameters in the wellbore, increased well depth, and mitigation of shallow hazards.
