Abstract: A seal driving tool for use with sockets or like devices that are used to position seals. The driving tool may have multiple segments including a force receiving member, an extender and an adapter. All, some or one of these items may be used in accordance with the present invention. The seal driving tool affords extended socket life and flexibility of use situations to the user.

Abstract: A non-freestanding child seat for use with in underlying seat or other support structure. The child seat is well-suited for use with “spectator” seats such as those found at sport event, theatres, and performing arts venues. The child seat may including a flexible member that is placed over and/or attached to an underlying seat or other structure. A child seat platform is attached to the flexible member and configured for position adjustment among other features.

Abstract: An apparatus for separating animated objects such as fish or other objects between a non-diverted and diverted fluid stream. Embodiments may include a screen or similar selective pass through device that is arranged in a manner that is generally horizontal (more horizontal than vertical). The non-diverted flow preferably passes over the screen while the diverted flow passes through the screen. Aspects of the apparatus may include faster sweeping velocity than pass through velocity, tapered side or bottom walls, a depressed low flow channel, a distributed under screen reservoir that facilitates distributed fluid flow through the screen or like devices, amongst other aspects.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for positioning an integrated circuit (IC) for test in a test assembly. An IC positioning mechanism is provided that permits ready resetting of the position of the device that mounts an IC onto a test socket, thereby permitting efficient modification of a test assembly to accept different sized ICs. A mechanism for preventing inadvertent opening of the test assembly is also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a cooking device that is convertible between a rotisserie cooking device and a kebab cooking device, folds up for compact storage, uses the heat element and enclosure of a conventional oven, and is inexpensive to manufacture.

Abstract: A reduced size personal computer comprises a base having first and second base portions movably connected to one another. In the preferred embodiment the two base portions are hingedly connected and fold together much like a book. In the extended orientation, the first and second base portions both lie flat on a working surface, such as a tabletop. The first portion typically includes a keypad and a mouse region, and the second portion typically includes internal operating components such as a motherboard and disk drives. A retractable display screen is extended upwardly from a storage compartment in the second base portion to its full, extended height. The screen may be flexible and manufactured with a light-directing texture. Due to the retractable nature of the display screen, the portable computer disclosed herein has a footprint in a stowed orientation that is smaller than the extended size of the screen.

Abstract: A lighted vessel, container or other item and a base unit for same. The base unit includes a resealable watertight housing that contains a light source. A mechanism is provided that activates and de-activates the light source in a manner that in non-invasive of said housing. This mechanism preferably includes magnetic actuation.

Abstract: A cutting tool or wear surface having diamond particles chromium mounted thereon. The diamond particles are preferably less than approximately 1,000 nanometers in length. Chromium or chromium like material is preferably mounted to an article through immersion in a bath and electroplating, amongst other techniques.

Abstract: A fuel rendering composition, an alternative supplemental fuel and a universal fuel treatment. Halogenated hydrocarbon(s) and solvent(s), particularly terpenoid containing solvent(s), are combined to form a composition that when mixed with vegetable oil, crude or refined, renders that oil suitable for use in a diesel engine. Various hydrocarbons, solvents and related compounds are disclosed. Providing a metal-organic compound such as a cyclopentadienyl compound with a halogenated hydrocarbon and solvent at appropriate rates produces a universal fuel treatment.
