Abstract: A fluids filter is presented that is cylindrical in shape and can be adapted to fit inline with any pipe system. The filter is comprised of an outer solid cylinder and an inner cylinder possessing multiple filter means, including a replaceable fine mesh or material filter. An absorbent boom can be placed in the filter system to absorb hydrocarbons or other materials. The inner tube possesses an emergency bypass in case of flows through the pipe system exceeding rated levels.
Abstract: An electricity generation system that uses smart pavement is presented, which pavement is comprised of materials that use solar radiation, piezo electricity, and temperature differentials within the road surface itself to create electric power. The pavement is multi-level, modular in construction, and comprised of photo-piezo-thermo-voltaic (PPTV) materials and physical means to capture the motion of passing vehicles as energy.
Abstract: An improved skin substitute is presented comprised of non-biological materials produced with a series of regularly-spaced pores and a nylon weave netting. The top component is a thin (approximately 0.001? thick) silicone elastomer in which pore holes have been vacuum-pulled; physically attached to the silicone elastomer is a fine knitted nylon fabric (12/1, 15/1 denier); incorporated into the silicone/nylon structure are collagen peptides [about 10 micrograms per square centimeter of Porcine type 1—“the active component”] without cross-linking agent to enable a quick interaction with fibrin in the wound to achieve acute adherence. The vacuum-pulled holes provide a range of porosities to ensure minimum fluid accumulation beneath the skin substitute without wound desiccation. The range of hole diameters preferred in the present invention is 0.75 mm to 1.05 mm and at holes centered at ¼?-??.

Abstract: An improved device for heating hearing aid microtubes is presented, the invention comprised of inexpensive electrical parts and a simple plastic base. The device possesses a heater flue that is shaped to concentrate the heat from the heating element along a short length of the hearing aid audio tube to be formed as well as a metal reflector to increase the efficiency of the heater element. The device has nonskid feet and air holes to improve the cooling of the device.
Abstract: An improved adjustable carpenters square is presented, which aids carpenters in marking and measuring work product to be cut or formed. The adjustable square can be set at a variety of angles to enable cut marking. It also possesses an attached measuring tape and a straight edge to combine three useful features in one tool, as well as a press-down tape stop to hold the tape in place. This invention can be used to scribe a line along a piece of material using the leading edge of the square as a guide instead of using the index finger of one hand, which often results in injury due to slivers from the material being scribed.
Abstract: An improved nursing bottle is presented which possess a novel venting system that allows ambient air to enter the nursing bottle to equalize internal and external pressures and prevent nipple collapse. Preventing nursing bottle nipple collapse reduces the amount of sucking by infants required to extract milk from the bottle and eliminates air in the infant's stomach. Liquid is prevented from exiting the nursing bottle by means of capillary action. The invention can be utilized with any standard nursing bottle.
Abstract: A spherical flywheel is described and specified that stores rotational energy more efficiently than cylindrical flywheels. The spherical flywheel is composed of multiple layers of material with the densest material at the surface. The flywheel surface is dimpled with a pattern similar to golf ball surfaces, to minimize aerodynamic drag.
