  • Patent number: 7218667
Abstract: The PL signal of a PL portion is multiplied by gain factor ?c in a multiplier(109) and the data of a data portion is multiplied by gain factor ?d in a multiplier(110). These gain factors ?c and ?d are controlled in a weight controlling circuit (112). The PL signal and data thus multiplied by gain factors are added in an adder (111) and become an added PL signal. This added PL signal is output to a delay profile generation circuit (113). In the delay profile generation circuit (113), a delay profile is generated using the added PL signal. The delay profile is output to a path selection circuit (104) where path search is performed, and the information of selected reception timings are output to a RAKE combining circuit (105) and a channel estimation circuit (115). By this means, iterative path search and channel estimation can be performed with accuracy even when receiving signals where channels of different transmission power ratios are multiplexed.

  • Patent number: 7217960
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a semiconductor device, which can simultaneously achieve a normally-off mode of HFET and an improvement in Imax, and further achieve an improvement in gm and a reduction in gate leakage current. In order to keep a thin barrier layer 13 on an operation layer 12 of a substrate 11 directly under a gate electrode for mostly contributing to achieve the normally-off mode and also implement the high Imax, it is configured in such a way that a thickness of the barrier layer 13 can be increased by the semiconductor layer 17 between gate and source regions and between gate and drain regions. It is therefore possible to achieve the normally-off mode and an improvement in Imax as compared with an FET in which a thickness of the barrier layer is designed so as to be uniform.

  • Patent number: 7215642
Abstract: In a receiving side apparatus 150, reception quality of receive data is measured by a reception quality measurement section 157, receive data errors are detected by an error detection section 156, and when an error is detected a retransmission request signal and reception quality signal are transmitted multiplexed with transmit data by a transmit frame creation section 158. In a transmitting side apparatus 100, when a retransmission request signal is received a capacity necessary for demodulating data in a receiving side apparatus 150 is detected from a reception quality signal by a scheduling section 110, and data is retransmitted at that capacity. By this means it is possible to reduce the number of data retransmissions during transmission and reception, and to improve transmission efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7205843
Abstract: A directional coupler is provided on the output side of a power amplifier. An increase in reflected wave power from a load is detected through the directional coupler by an electric power detector (wave detector). Then, a detection signal of an electric power detector is provided to a power amplifier supply voltage control circuit. As a result, the supply voltage supplied to the power amplifier is reduced gradually. By virtue of this, the supply voltage provided to the power amplifier is gradually reduced when the power amplifier approaches a breakdown condition. This protects the power amplifier.

  • Patent number: 7206597
Abstract: A transmission control section 101 temporarily stores a transmission signal, outputs the stored transmission signal to a coding section 102 and outputs transmission timing information to a counter section 107. A preamble insertion section 104 inserts AGC preambles corresponding to the number set by a preamble number control section 110 into the transmission signal. The preamble number control section 110 compares a transmission time interval input from a subtraction section 109 with a threshold, decides to insert ten AGC preambles into the transmission signal when the transmission time interval is equal to or greater than the threshold and decides to insert five AGC preambles into the transmission signal when the transmission time interval is smaller than the threshold. By so doing, it is possible to make the transmission efficiency compatible with the error rate characteristic.
