  • Patent number: 7959309
Abstract: A mirror assembly for trucks, vans and the like, for providing front or rear viewing as the vehicle is moving forward or is backing up, for example, into a truck loading dock area. The mirror assembly comprises a mirror unit that is connected by a mirror arm to a support structure, e.g., a flange or bracket, that is fixed to the vehicle. The support structure projects minimally sideways of the vehicle and pivotably supports the mirror arm in a manner whereby the mirror unit and its arm can swing about a pivot axis, enabling the mirror and its arm to lie alongside a side wall of the vehicle or tightly against the rear of the vehicle. A return or rebound mechanism returns the mirror unit to its normal operational position automatically, once contact with an obstruction that has pivoted the mirror unit from its normal position, has been removed.

  • Patent number: 7940205
Abstract: Using a radar to detect a known target likely to be positioned at approximately a predetermined height close to other targets, these other targets also being positioned at approximately the predetermined height. A first phase of detecting the known target is carried out by performing an azimuth scan. When the known target has been detected at a certain distance Di at a certain azimuth angle ?az, a second detection phase is carried out at said azimuth angle ?az and at an elevation angle ?EL corresponding to that of an object situated at said distance Di at the predetermined height. The target is said to be detected if it is detected at the elevation angle ?EL at a distance D approximately equal to the distance Di.

  • Patent number: 7941583
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to a driven-frequency processor core. It comprises at least one processor, a non-volatile memory comprising a startup program, a bridge interconnecting buses linking the various components of said processor core, an interface component. The non-volatile memory comprises at least two frequency-related configurations each corresponding to an operating mode of the buses and/or of the components of said processor core. The non-volatile memory comprises an item of information which makes it possible to determine which operating mode should be used, said item of information being read by the interface component so as to determine the chosen mode. The interface component generates one or more clock signals, the frequency of said generated clock signals corresponding substantially to that described by the configuration of the chosen mode. The clock signals drive the buses and/or the components of said processor core.

Abstract: When ink is filled into an ink pack 13 including a bag part 20 and an outlet part 21, firstly, air in the bag 20 and outlet part 21 is sucked by a suction pump P2 provided for an ink pouring apparatus 30. Further, by a first measuring pipe 43, ink supplied from a main tank 31 is poured through the outlet part 21 into the bag part 20. Further, by a second measuring pipe 52, the ink poured into the bag part 20 of the ink pack 13 is sucked and exhausted. Furthermore, the ink in the second measuring pipe 52 is mixed into a mixing tank 34 with ink previously supplied to the mixing tank 34 from the main tank 31. Next, the ink is supplied from the mixing tank 34 to a third measuring pipe 59, and filled from the third measuring pipe 59 through the outlet part 21 into the bag part 20.
