Abstract: An adjustable pressure control device for hydraulic brake system which reduces pressure surges during braking to decrease wheel slip at one or more wheels during braking. The device has replaceable internal elements which may be combined to tailor the damping response of the device to a specified application.
Abstract: A brake block for automotive drum brake systems having a visible wear indicator indicating the remaining usable thickness of the brake block. The wear indicator may be molded or machined into the side of the brake block and also may indicate where the tops of the fasteners for the brake block are located when fasteners are used to affix the brake block to a backing plate.
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for guiding a moving body (1) along a tensioned cable (4) attached at intervals to a building facade (3) and at a given distance therefrom. Abstract: A high torque low speed motor has a nutating assembly driven by a hydraulic or an electric actuator. The nutator assembly drivingly connects to an output shaft through a gear train. Because of a difference in the number of teeth between a gear on the output shaft and a gear on the nutating assembly, the output shaft is driven at a differential ratio as the nutator assembly is driven.
Abstract: A rail brace assembly for buttressing the head of a traffic rail as a rail brace with upper and lower slanted surfaces adapted to engage corresponding surfaces on a traffic rail. The rail brace assembly includes a bearing insert having a main body portion with a top surface adapted to engage a resilient fastener, a bottom surface adapted to engage a rail brace and a downwardly depending leg adapted to be received in an opening defined in a brace plate which engages a bearing surface on the rail brace and a bearing surface on the brace plate to cause lateral loads applied to the rail brace on the bearing insert to be resisted by the brace plate. Also, the rail brace assembly includes a shoulder secured to the top surface of a brace plate adapted to receive one leg of a resilient fastener and a resilient fastener having one leg adapted to be inserted into a shoulder opening and another leg adapted to engage the top surface of a bearing insert.

Abstract: A releasable sinker assembly includes a sinker having an opening and a spindle having a main body adapted to extend through the sinker opening, an enlarged base at one end of the spindle and attaching means for attaching the spindle to a fishing line at the other end of the body. The base is formed of an elastomeric material and is larger in size than the sinker opening. The sinker opening and the base are sized such that the base cannot pass freely through the opening when the base is in its free state but the base may be deformed and pulled through the opening when the sinker is held in place.

Abstract: For making drill holes, in particular under cramped conditions, an apparatus is used which comprises a drill rod consisting of individual segments and guided in the cradle or slide. The individual segments comprise end pieces which are constructed as centering bushes and guide bushes and are to be pushed into each other in such a manner that the necessary torques and pressure forces can be effectively transmitted from the drilling motor. The drilling motor itself is displaceable between two clamping tongs which fix the drill rod or the individual segments and ensure that the latter form in each case a rigid unit to which the pressure and rotary forces can thus be effectively transmitted. The flushing hose extending in the individual segments is connected via a rotary duct to the guide segment of the drill rod so that said hose itself does not participate in the rotation and can therefore be led with the loosely engaging segments round a curve.

Abstract: An apparatus for magnetically treating a liquid is disclosed herein. The apparatus includes at least two magnetized inserts mounted in a pipe containing a liquid to be treated. The inserts are disposed parallel to one another and parallel to the direction of flow of the liquid to be treated wherein each of the inserts includes a plurality of successive permanent magnets abutting each other and positioned such that the magnetic flux of each magnet is perpendicular to the direction of fluid flow, wherein the polarity of adjacent magnets of an insert alternates in direction, and wherein each magnetic insert is located opposite an identically polarized magnet in an adjacent insert.
