  • Patent number: 5454514
Abstract: A rail anchor assembly is provided with particularly-configured shoulder fittings welded to a base plate component in a manner which eliminates the necessity of weld grinding in order to assure non-interference between the shoulder fitting rail abutment end weld and a cooperating rail positioned upon the base plate component in proximity to the weld. The shoulder fitting rail abutment end includes an undercut which extends with increasing depth from the shoulder fitting rail abutment end vertical rail abutment face toward the rail retainer spring clip opening portion of the shoulder fitting to thereby form one side of a weld bevel groove accessible from within the shoulder fitting spring clip opening portion.

  • Patent number: 5388042
Abstract: A method for moving with at least three degrees of freedom, particularly in theatre area on or below a stage, a complex three-dimensional structure, which is borne by several lifting machines or the like to be driven independently, is described. Three virtual parallel reference axes are installed in the space on which, as a function of one positioning signal in each case per point of application up or down movements are made. A virtual surface is drawn by these points of application. Several independent lifting machines or the like are installed above or below this surface. A weighting is determined for each lifting machine as a function of their position compared to each reference axis, which weighting is a measure of the amount by which the running of the relevant machine is influenced by the movement of the points of application on the reference axes. The movement and speed of movement of the points of application on the reference axes are predefined as positioning signals.

  • Patent number: 5331794
Abstract: A mower shield is provided for rear engine driven riding lawn mowers which shield includes a top panel having a rear portion, a central portion, and a front portion, and is positionable to overhang the leading edge of the deck by connection to at least one supporting element. More specifically, the supporting element suspends a section of the top panel over the deck such that its rear portion generally extends across the deck substantially in contact therewith, while a section of the top panel and the front portion are suspended beyond the leading edge of the deck. The air currents established by this mower shield cause such grass clippings as are expelled forwardly from beneath the deck to enter the chamber defined by the mower shield and be redirected downwardly, away from the operator. Flexible rear and front portions of the top panel permit clearing of debris, while transparent central and front portions of the top panel permit inspection and increase visibility of the cutting path.
