Abstract: A spill-proof drink container is provided with an interior fluid tank having a resilient, diaphragm-like bottom closure and an interior recovery tube co-operating with the bottom closure in sealing relation, with an outer container housing the interior fluid tank and providing a completely surrounding negative pressure passageway, and with a dual-passageway withdrawal tube that cooperates with the negative pressure passageway and with the recovery tube. Negative pressures introduced into the withdrawal tube by the container user cause the diaphragm bottom closure to move downward whereby hydrostatic forces in the contained liquid flow the contained liquid into and through the recovery tube and through the dual-passageway withdrawal tube to the container user creating the negative pressures.
Abstract: A railroad trackwork railbound frog assembly having a toe point element is provided with a pair of spaced-apart wing rail elements each having a notch recess feature, a pair of reversible and interchangeable spaced-apart wing rail insert elements, usually fabricated of a manganese alloy steel or a high-strength, low-alloy steel material that is harder than the material from which the wing rail elements are manufactured, installed in abutting relation to the wing rail element notch recesses, spacer blocks that maintain the separations between the toe point, wing rail, and wing rail insert elements, and bolt-type fastener devices joining the elements of the frog assembly into a unitary structure.
Abstract: An article holding assembly for a pegboard having a plurality of cruciform slotted openings is provided with at least one article-holding support bracket that has a pair of arms each having a resilient U-shaped clip end portion that clamps the support bracket tightly to the pegboard in either a vertical or horizontal position.
Abstract: An improved railroad trackwork frog is provided with a relatively fixed rigid wing rail, a relatively movable spring wing rail, a base plate, and at least one roller outrigger and ramp plate assembly which is attached to the spring wing rail and to the base plate, and which functions to cause limited upwards vertical movement of the spring wing rail relative to the base plate when the spring wing rail is moved laterally relative to the rigid wing rail by the engaged wheel flange of a passing rail car.
Abstract: A variable displacement axial piston pump has a plurality of piston bores each connected to an inwardly angled fill port. The fill ports extend from the piston bores inwardly to the working face of the barrel to reduce the diameter of the fill circle of a pump. This decreases the velocity that must be attained by incoming fluid to thereby increase the operating speed at which the pump may be driven where the pump is filled at atmospheric pressure.

Abstract: A brake friction pad assembly is provided with a metallic backing plate element, a friction pad element having a mating surface, an air-dried and completely thermally cured elastomeric adhesive material film joined in cure-bonded relation to the mating surface of the friction pad element, and mechanical fasteners joining the friction pad element and adhered elastomeric adhesive material film to the backing plate element with the elastomeric adhesive material film in an intermediate position.
Abstract: A brake friction pad assembly is provided with a metallic backing plate element, a friction pad element having a mating surface, an air-dried and thermally cured elastomeric adhesive material film joined in cure-bonded relation to the mating surface of the friction pad element, and mechanical fasteners joining the friction pad element and adhered elastomeric adhesive material film to the backing plate element with the elastomeric adhesive material film in an intermediate position.
Abstract: A lawn care machine including an engine powered mower unit having a front deck element which overlies a blade cutting element and which mounts a liquid storage container for a liquid material spraying unit and a particulate container for a granular spreading unit. The deck being pivotally mounted to the tractor. An operator-seat positioned on the front of the tractor to overlook the front deck.
Abstract: An improved disc brake friction pad assembly is provided with a metallic backing plate element, a friction pad element, and a noise-dampening shim subassembly positioned intermediate the backing plate element and the friction pad element.
Abstract: A hybrid brake assembly is provided with both a resin-bonded metallic friction pad element and a resin-bonded non-asbestos, non-metallic friction pad element and hydraulic cylinder/piston elements for simultaneously actuating both friction pad elements in a vehicular braking operation.
Abstract: An electrical resistance welding sensor assembly useful for monitoring various resistance welding process parameters in real-time during welding operations is provided with a base element adapted to be inserted into a tapered, water-cooled, electrode tip holder, with a sensor element adapted to receive a tapered, water-cooled, electrode tip, and with an in-line integral coolant passageway extending therethrough, the sensor element having a wall component which is provided with various adhered electrical transducer devices, which conducts and transmits welding process clamping loads and electrical currents, and which is cooled by coolant flowed through the integral coolant passageway.
Abstract: A direct support railbound frog having a frog casting clamped between a pair of wing rails and freestanding such that all wheel loads imposed on the frog casting primarily pass directly to the bottom surface of the casting without passing through the wing rails.
Abstract: A railroad switch stand for switching railroad track switch points is provided with a manually-operated crank assembly that is coupled to the switch stand switching input shaft without included lost motion and that has an included yoke with latch bars that function to stop and secure the crank assembly in operating positions that reduce operator risk to excessive back stress and lower spine injury.
Abstract: A cup holder accessory for supporting an over-size drink cup in a standard-size drink cup receptacle, is provided with a base element that cooperates with the standard-size drink cup receptacle, with an over-size drink cup receptacle supported by and rotatable relative to the base element, a cam element positioned within the base element and rotated and projected outside the base element when the over-size drink cup receptacle is rotated relative to the base element, and a fastener element joining the base element, the over-size drink cup receptacle element, and the cam element into a unitary assembly.
Abstract: A torque limiter control sets the limit of power which may be absorbed by a pump. A feedback system adjusts the displacement of the pump in responses to changes in the pressure of working fluid at the pump outlet to maintain a set power.
