Abstract: The invention discloses a new class of silicone surfactants and their use for the preparation of flexible urethane foam. The surfactants incorporate high molecular weight polyethers prepared with narrower molecular weight distributions than conventional polyethers. These polyethers are prepared using a double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst. These surfactants are better foam stabilizers than the analogous surfactants prepared from conventional polyethers.

Abstract: A crosslinking system which includes a 1,2,4-trioxacycloheptane and a crosslink-promoting polyfunctional ethylenically unsaturated compound. This system is employed in a process of crosslinking a thermoplastic polymer. Preferred polymers, useful in this process, include ethylene homopolymers and copolymers.
Abstract: Aminopolysiloxanes of the following structure Q.sub.2 RSiO-- (SiR.sub.2 O).sub.x -(SiRR.sup.1 O).sub.y -SiRQ.sub.2 wherein R is a monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms including alkyl, aryl and aralkyl groups; R.sup.1 is CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --C--(CH.sub.3).sub.2 --CH.sub.2 --NHR.sup.2, R.sup.2 is hydrogen, an alkyl of C.sub.1 -C.sub.6, an alkyl amine of C.sub.1 -C.sub.6, or an alkanolamine of C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 ; Q is R, R.sup.1, hydroxyl, or an alkoxy of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4. x can be zero or integer; y is an integer, with x+y being less than 1,100, for use in various applications, including softening textiles.

Abstract: Disclosed is a water dispersible antifoam concentrate comprising a polydiorganosiloxane component;fine solid particles of inorganic oxide, bearing on the surface thereof a polydiorganosiloxane component;a nonionic emulsifier component;a thickener component; andoptionally, water, at up to 5 wt. % of the concentrate if present therein;optionally, but preferably, solvent, and preservative or biocide. The antifoam concentrate can be dispersed with a pre-set amount of water, using moderate shear, to obtain a complete, storage stable, low cost antifoam emulsion, which can be used in agricultural, food, textile, waste water, liquid detergent and general industrial applications.
Abstract: Disclosed are dry particulate compositions containing an anionic sulfonate or sulfate surfactant, fatty mono- or di-ethanolamide, alcohol, sugar and maltodextrin. The dry compositions readily disperse in water to form formulations which can form voluminous, stable, environmentally benign foams useful, for instance, in marking outdoor areas.
Abstract: Disclosed are stable monophasic liquid compositions comprising water, one or more cationic, anionic, amphoteric and/or nonionic surfactants, exhibiting partial solubility in water or in concentrated formulations, and one or more coupling agents of the formula (1)R.sup.A --C(O)O--R.sup.C --(OC(O)R.sup.E).sub.0-1 (1)wherein R.sup.A is C.sub.1 -C.sub.15 alkyl with 0-3 hydroxyl substituents, R.sup.C is C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl with 0-3 hydroxyl substituents, and R.sup.E is C.sub.1 -C.sub.15 alkyl with 0-1 hydroxyl substituents, wherein the compounds of formula (1) contain 7 to 16 carbon atoms and a total of 1-3 hydroxyl substituents.
Abstract: Curable composition comprising a stable, water dispersible, curable polymer containing a sterically hindered alkoxylated silane group at 0.1 to 75 weight percent of the total composition; a water dispersible or water soluble, hydrolytically stable organotin catalyst, at 0.1 to 10 weight percent of the total composition; and water at 99.8 to 24.9 weight percent of the total composition are taught herein. These compositions are useful as adhesives, sealants and paints. The compositions have improved properties including solvent resistance, adhesion, hardness, abrasion resistance and mar resistance.Particular catalysts for use herein include mercaptoalcohol, mercaptide and sulfide forms of diorganotins having either a Sn--S or Sn.dbd.S bond, and include dibutyltin dimercaptide and dibutyltin bis(1-thioglycerol).
Abstract: Disclosed are isotropic oil-in-water microemulsions containing an oil component of a fatty acid, fatty alcohol, or ester thereof; a quaternary ammonium component; an ether component; and water. The microemulsions are useful to apply removable hydrophobic films to a surface, rendering them useful in e.g. carwashes.

Abstract: The present invention discloses non-hydrolyzable, block, (AB).sub.n A type, copolymers comprising alternating units of polysiloxane and amino-polyalkyleneoxide and provides a method for the preparation of these copolymers. Also provided is the use of these copolymers as softeners, in particular durable, hydrophilic textile softeners, which improve tactile properties of the textiles substrates treated with the commercial soil release finishes, without substantially detracting from their properties. The copolymers of the present invention have alternating units of polysiloxane ?X(C.sub.a H.sub.2a O).sub.b R.sup.2 ?(SiO(R.sup.1).sub.2 !.sub.c Si(R.sup.1).sub.2 R.sup.2 (C.sub.a H.sub.2a O).sub.b X!and polyalkyleneoxides ?YO(C.sub.a H.sub.2a O).sub.d Y!wherein R.sup.1 is a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl, preferably methyl, R.sup.
