Abstract: An inexpensive method and apparatus for modifying the optical characteristics of blank lenses to convert them into regular lens spectacles in order to enable a prospective purchaser of eyeglass frames to fully see himself/herself in the mirror when trying on the frames to be certain as to how they will look when wearing the frames. The present invention relates to an eyeglass frame tester kit which can be used to evaluate a particular frame among others. Correction means are temporarily adhered to the blank lenses of each pair of frames selected. This permits the client to get a more realistic image of how the completed prescription will look because with the corrective ocular means affixed to the blank lenses, the lens functions as a normal lens providing the optical correction required to enable the wearer to see clearly.
Abstract: A double piston spring hinge which is used for connecting temples to an eyeglass frame. The double piston spring hinge has a front structure, a rear structure, two piston cylinders symmetrically and parallel mounted between the front and rear structures, a flap lever, and a bracket for stabilizing the front and rear structures. The two temples are hinged to opposite sides of the front of the frame by the double piston spring hinges so as to permit the two temples to fold on the frame. Each piston cylinder contains therein a spring. A piston goes in and out of the cylinder and is biased by the spring. The piston is held within the cylinder at one end and in linking members at the other end. The double piston spring hinges are a flexibility system which is a bracket that is a spring actuated piston piece which lends flexibility to the temple.
Abstract: A lens-gate divider system for a camera bag. The gap or opening of the dividers is covered by swinging gates which can accommodate long camera lenses or camera bodies without the lenses attached thereto and also provide a plurality of different size compartments without the need to change to different dividers. In one embodiment, the lens-gate divider system comprises at least one lens-gate divider with two panels spaced apart and leaving a gap therebetween. Each panel has a swinging gate or door hingeably attached thereto and can swing open or closed in a lateral direction. In another embodiment, the system has at least one divider with a cut-out opening. A swinging lens-gate is hingeably attached to the divider to open or close the cut-out opening.
Abstract: A split-band clipper which generates less distortion, minimizes or reduces the occurrence of all IMD, or at least will minimize and reduce the occurrence of widely space IMD, and reduce the quantity of harmonic distortion caused by clipping of bass frequencies.
Abstract: A process and apparatus for purification and compression of raw landfill gas stream in a landfill to produce vehicle grade fuel. After the landfill gas stream is extracted and collected, all solids and significant moisture are removed in a pretreatment system prior to compression of the gas stream. The gas stream is then compressed to enhance the function of a membrane purification system. Additional moisture and compressor oil are removed. The gas stream is then heated to maintain any remaining moisture in vapor form. Volatile organic compounds and the balance of the compressor oil are removed from the gas stream by passing the gas stream across an activated carbon guard bed system. The resultant gas stream is fed to a multi-stage membrane system which separates the methane from the other constituents of the landfill gas stream including any remaining moisture.

Abstract: An apparatus for forming a unitary container to hold a drinking cup at the bottom end of the container and to hold food in the upper portion of the container. The container is generally a frusto-conical shaped structure such that a person can have one hand unoccupied while the other hand holds the container which retains both the drinking cup and the food therein.
Abstract: The present invention vehicle light fixture comprises a hollow lens and a quick detachable socket. The hollow lens has a base permanently affixed at the bottom. The base has an opening thereto. A light bulb is installed in the quick detachable socket such that the detachable socket can be partially inserted into the opening and interlocks itself within the opening, thereby maintaining the light bulb within the hollow dome lens. To replace a malfunctioned light bulb, the detachable socket can be unlocked by rotating the socket which loosens itself from the opening at the base, and removed from the base so that the malfunctioned light bulb can be replaced with a new light bulb without the entire light fixture being replaced.

Abstract: A portable and collapsible dolly and track system is movably supporting a tripod which retains a camera or the like thereon. Once the dolly and the track have been assembled, the dolly is positioned on top of the track. A tripod is positioned on the dolly, and thereby the dolly with the tripod will roll along the track in a horizontal plane with the camera thereon for filming a scene or taking photographs. The track comprises a pair of opposite longitudinal parallel rails arranged in a space apart relationship by three pivotable transverse bars. The pair of rails are comprised of a plurality of cylindrical tubes. The plurality of cylindrical tubes are held together with a unique BUNGEE cord type joining member in order to enable them to be very quickly and efficiently assembled and set into place and then disassembled for storage. The track can be folded for storage by withdrawing the ends of the plurality of cylindrical tubes from each other.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing and assembling a plurality of small parts weighing under five pounds using a robot employing a rotatable pallet for holding an array of small parts. Said rotatable pallet being held in place on the robot wrist head, which moves the pallet through a plurality of stationary work-stations located within the operating envelope of the robot, and rotates the pallet at each work-station to index the pallet and to present it to the work-station for an operation on a specific part or parts. Said robot participates in the work-station tasks by moving the rotatable pallet in the X, Y, and Z directions as needed. Movable data pins are used to indicate conditions of individual parts in nests, and of the pallet taken as a whole.
Abstract: A quick-release mechanism for an orthodontic headgear assembly, which has a bracket integrally formed with a traction force device and a connecting structure attached to ends of a neckstrap or headstrap. The bracket has two opposite horizontal parallel arms that extend rearwardly and a vertical rod integrally attached between the two opposite parallel arms. The connecting structure is snapped onto the vertical rod for retaining the traction force device and the neckstrap in position. The quick-release mechanism is disconnected by vertically pulling the connecting structure and the bracket apart from each other at a predetermined force, thereby releasing the connecting structure from the bracket.
Abstract: A mop holder which incorporates a quick release locking nut for clamping a mop and attaching a mop stick. The mop holder comprises a hollow frame and a quick release locking nut which is installed on the frame. The frame has a central portion with a closed cavity for accommodating a conventional mop stick. A swingable mop clamping member is hingeably connected to one end of the base of the frame. The mop clamping member serves to clamp the mop fill to the base of the frame. A slidable attachment rod with outer screw threads is hingeably connected to the other end of the mop clamping member. The slidable attachment rod is inserted through an opening provided on the frame, where the rod is threadably engaged with a pawl on the quick release locking nut. The quick release locking nut can be rotated to tighten the mop clamping member to the frame, and thereby secures the mop fill thereto.
Abstract: A weighing device which is dedicated for use on a rotary table of a rotary machine such as a rotary fluid filling machine. The weighing device includes a symmetrical load cell. The symmetry of the load cell when installed in place on the rotary table is such that it is symmetrical about a line which is perpendicular to a radius line emanating from the center of rotation. The load is applied directly or indirectly at the center point of the load cell. It is then understood that this load point is also on the line of symmetry.
