  • Patent number: 4618646
Abstract: The room temperature-curable (RTV) organopolysiloxane composition of the invention comprises, in addition to the conventional components of a diorganopolysiloxane terminated at both molecular chain ends each with a silanolic hydroxy group, a hydrolyzable organosilicon compound having two or more hydrolyzable groups in a molecule and a filler, an organosilicon-modified polyoxyalkylene compound, of which the organosilicon-containing terminal groups have at least one hydrolyzable group so as to pertain to the crosslinking reaction in its part. By virtue of this unique additive component, the composition is quite free from the disadvantage of sagging when the composition is applied to building works and the like and still retains excellent adhesive properties to the substrate surface in contrast to the difficulty in the conventional RTV compositions in which reducing of the phenomenon of sagging and retention of the strong adhesive strength are hardly compatible.

  • Patent number: 4618049
Abstract: In lubricated friction couplings, at least two surfaces are connected by frictional engagement. These surfaces in engagement with one another are termed friction partners. One friction partner consists of a ceramic material and the other friction partner consists of a metallic material or a ceramic material having a chemical composition other than that of the first friction partner. The metallic material is a material of the iron group, preferably sintered metal. The ceramic material is oxide ceramic, especially aluminium oxide or zirconium oxide or silicon nitride. The pairing of metal, especially sintered steel, against oxide ceramic increases the service life of the coupling while at the same time reducing the coupling travel. The ceramic material can be connected to a carrier member, for example in the form of segments sintered into the carrier member.

  • Patent number: 4618220
Abstract: A telephoto zoom lens having four lens groups of which the 1st, counting from the front, has a positive refractive power, the 2nd has a negative refractive power, the 3rd has a positive refractive power and the 4th has a positive refractive power. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd lens groups form a varifocal section, and the 1st and 2nd lens groups axially move in opposite directions to each other when zooming. The amounts of movement of the 1st and 2nd lens groups relative to each other are thus controlled to achieve a shortening of the total length of the lens system.

  • Patent number: 4616744
Abstract: In a friction clutch unit the axial travel of the presser plate with respect to the clutch housing is axially limited. The presser plate is connected for common rotation with the clutch housing by a plurality of tangential leaf spring elements. These leaf spring elements allow axial travel of the presser plate with respect to the clutch housing, when the clutch housing is separated from the respective driving disc. A main spring is provided which is supported on the clutch housing and acts onto the presser plate. This main spring urges the presser plate away from the clutch housing. In order to restrict the travel of the presser plate under the action of the main spring stop elements are provided axially between the spring elements and the clutch housing and tangentially between the two ends of the respective leaf spring elements, namely nearer to that end of the respective leaf spring element which is fixed to the clutch housing.
