  • Patent number: 4616916
Abstract: The disclosed invention is a multi-mode automatic exposure control camera which operates with selection of various image effects and enables even the beginner to make photographs with less susceptibility to failure. Upon consideration of different image effects, a plurality of combinations of shutter time and aperture value are provided for one mode, and in the usual mode selection, a more frequently used combination is made preferentially selectable to provide an improved operation.

  • Patent number: 4615482
Abstract: A temperature-dependently actuated 3-port, 2-way valve 1 has a bimetallic disc 22 which closes either a valve seat 15, as shown, or a valve seat 14 when it snaps over into an upwardly domed position. The disc 22 is floatingly supported by two 3-legged springs 23 and 24 acting on its opposite sides. When, as shown, the disc is downwardly domed, only the upper spring 23 acts on the disc 22 and the legs of the lower spring 24 act against abutments 26. The reverse happens when the disc is upwardly domed. In this way the disc is always pressed against one seat or the other only by the appropriate spring and the closure force is independent of the flexural strength of the disc. The floating support of the disc 22 also ensures that it snaps over at or very near the correct operating temperature.

  • Patent number: 4615599
Abstract: A flash device for a photographic camera is arranged either to inhibit a flashing action or to shift the control mode of the camera from flash photography to daylight photography in cases where an object to be photographed is located outside of the adequately operatable range of distance. A pre-flashing action is performed to detect a distance to the object when a main capacitor is charged to a given level before the capacitor is amply charged for flash photography. Then flash photographing is performed at an aperture value determined on the basis of the detected distance when the distance is within the adequately operatable distance range. In the case where the detected distance is outside of the adequately operatable distance range, the main capacitor is further charged for an increased flashing power.

  • Patent number: 4616294
Abstract: Disclosed is a reflector for an electronic flash device capable of changing the illuminating angle. The reflector is nearly of elliptical shape as in the case of the conventional one, wherein the ratio of the longer diameter of the ellipse to the shorter one and the shorter diameter itself are set at special values. Thus, the reflector can be designed small, while the same illuminating angle as in a case where a wide angle adapter is mounted on the flash device can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4615202
Abstract: A roll stand has a frame in which upper and lower working rolls are journaled for rotation about respective parallel upper and lower working-roll axes and defining a workpiece nip. Respective upper and lower backup-roll guide elements vertically flank the working rolls and are each at least partially vertically displaceable relative to the frame. Respective upper and lower backup-roll journal blocks are axially displaceable but vertically fixed relative to the guide elements and define parallel upper and lower inner axes flanking the working axes. Respective inner backup rolls are journaled in the blocks for rotation about the inner axes and bear radially toward the nip on the working rolls. The inner backup rolls are therefore axially displaceable in the guide elements. A pair of outer backup rolls are journaled in the frame for rotation about outer axes coplanar with the respective inner axes and bear radially toward the nip on the inner backup rolls.

  • Patent number: 4615604
Abstract: A circuit board for electrical instrument control having patterns to which is applied a high voltage. In preventing the high voltage when appearing across the patterns from producing a faulty circuit operation, or damaging circuit elements by leakage, there is no need particularly for separating the high voltage patterns to another circuit board, or adding a circuit for protection against the high voltage, when providing a circuit board deprived of the bad influence of the high voltage patterns.

  • Patent number: 4615423
Abstract: A hub is proposed for a two-wheeled vehicle comprising a hub spindle (1) and a hub sleeve (3) mounted rotatably on the hub spindle (1). The hub sleeve (3) is formed as a light metal die-casting, one (39) of the two spoke flanges (39, 41) being integrally cast to the hub sleeve, while the other, separately produced spoke flange (41) is rigidly secured to a seating surface (43, 45) cast to the die-casting. In the entire external circumferential surface of the die-casting the radial distance of the outer circumferential surface from the rotation axis, starting from an external circumference with maximum diameter, exclusively decreases or at least remains constant with increasing axial distance from the maximum external circumference.
