  • Patent number: 7849134
Abstract: In a network having transaction acceleration, for an accelerated transaction, a client directs a request to a client-side transaction handler that forwards the request to a server-side transaction handler, which in turn provides the request, or a representation thereof, to a server for responding to the request. The server sends the response to the server-side transaction handler, which forwards the response to the client-side transaction handler, which in turn provides the response to the client. Transactions are accelerated by the transaction handlers by storing segments of data used in the transactions in persistent segment storage accessible to the server-side transaction handler and in persistent segment storage accessible to the client-side transaction handler.

  • Patent number: 7841199
Abstract: A data center cooling solution providing techniques for using baffles, doors and roof sections to prevent warm air from being entrained into a cold aisle in a data center, wherein the data center generally contains an air cooling system and a raised floor structure. The raised floor structure is configured to deliver cool air into the data center through a plurality of grates and perforated tiles in the floor. Electronic equipment racks are disposed around the grates and perforated tiles, such that the front faces of the equipment racks face the grates and perforated tiles. A collection of baffles, doors or roof sections inhibit the mixing of the cool air delivered by the air cooling system and the warm air exhausted by the electronic equipment.

  • Patent number: 7841910
Abstract: Connectors having a smaller profile. These connectors are useful as a reduced form factor DisplayPort connector. Keys on a receptacle are used to indicate when an insert is fully engaged. Edges of the receptacle and insert are chamfered in such a way as to prevent the pins of the connector from being damaged when an improper insertion is attempted. User experience is also enhanced by the use of one or more latches. As the connector is inserted, the latch provides resistance that builds until the connector is inserted a certain distance, after which the latch enters a cutout portion of the insert thus releasing the pressure and letting the user know the connection has been made. Fingers are employed to provide mechanical stability and electrical connection between receptacle and insert.

  • Patent number: 7845011
Abstract: A transfer source gives a challenge key, own public key, an ID for identifying the target data, and an encryption key type to a transfer destination that is authenticated by a certificate. In accordance with the given key type, the transfer destination generates a first session key (and a second session key), encrypts the first session key and own public key (or second session key) with the transfer source's public key, encrypts the resulting encrypted data with the challenge key, and transmits the data encrypted with the challenge key to the transfer source. The transfer source encrypts the target data with the second session key (or the transfer destination's public key) that is derived from the received data, encrypts the resulting encrypted data with the first session key, and transmits the data encrypted with the first session key to the transfer destination.
