Abstract: A data conversion job used for data conversion is separated into a data conversion server job for executing conversion processing on a data conversion server and a storage job for instructing a copy of a table on a storage device. Then, the storage job is executed to instruct the storage device to copy the table. The data conversion server job is executed only for fields that need to be converted, and thereby data conversion is performed for the copied table. This makes it possible to reduce a load of the data conversion server when converting data of a database, and also to enable a designer of a data conversion job to easily design the data conversion job.
Abstract: A method for updating information on security , in which the client is connected with a server through a network, the server including a storage device that is managed by the client, the storage device storing security information, the method comprising updating the security information stored in the storage device that the client manages in the server.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a system for managing network access to resources that allows a first entity to impersonate a second entity. In one embodiment, the first entity can impersonate the second entity without knowing the second entity's password and/or without altering anything in the entity's set of personal information. This invention provides the first entity with the ability to troubleshoot in a live production system without disrupting the users or the system. In one embodiment, the first entity authenticates as itself. Access to resources is provided in response to an authorization process based on the identity of the entity being impersonated.
Abstract: A system is described for obtaining goods or services over a networked communication system. Goods and services are provided by a sales related entity or administrator at or through a server system. A client system is configured to obtain goods or services from the provider in a manner that reduces or eliminates the processing burden on the retailer's server system. The invention allows for readily scalable sale related and/or administrator server system(s).
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a carrying case with an integrated power supply system for providing power to multiple electronic devices from a single power source. In addition to allowing quick access and storage of various electronic devices, the carrying case also allows the individual electronic devices to be easily connected to the power source and eliminates the need to carry multiple charging cords. In certain embodiments, the power supply system further includes an additional battery or other power source, which increases the runtime of connected electronic devices and reduces the need to carry additional individual batteries for the individual devices. With different connectors on the input to the power system, different AC or DC power sources may be utilized. Different connectors can also be used to provide power to different electronic devices.

Abstract: Compounds, compositions and methods are provided which are useful in the treatment of diseases through the inhibition of sodium ion flux through voltage-dependent sodium channels. More particularly, the invention provides pyrazole-amides and -sulfonamides, compositions and methods that are useful in the treatment of central or peripheral nervous system disorders, particularly pain and chronic pain by blocking sodium channels associated with the onset or recurrance of the indicated conditions. The compounds, compositions and methods of the present invention are of particular use for treating neuropathic or inflammatory pain by the inhibition of ion flux through a channel that includes a PN3 subunit.
Abstract: A foldable frame assembly includes a base frame having a wheel-carrying end for mounting a wheel unit, a handgrip end, and an intermediate portion connected to a prop member so as to lift the base frame to a standing position. A tabletop has a front tabletop end pivoted to the intermediate portion for suspending a machine above the ground surface so as to enable a rear tabletop end to turn from a working position to a folded position. A bracing member has an anchoring end pivotally mounted on the wheel-carrying end, and a slidable end coupled with the rear tabletop end such that when the rear tabletop end is turned from the working position to the folded position, the slidable end is turned to be close to the intermediate portion. A rear locking unit is disposed to guard against movement of the slidable end.
Abstract: A system for cutting the cornea of an eye includes a moveable member with a cutting blade at one end, a pivot element disposed thereon, a cutting guide restraint disposed thereon, a mechanism for oscillating the moveable member around the pivot element, and a cutting guide configured to engage the cutting guide restraint on the moveable member to thereby limit the degree of angular movement of the cutting blade as the moveable member oscillates about the pivot element. A pocket can be cut in the cornea by advancing and oscillating the moveable member.
Abstract: A dispense system such as an aerosol or pump system includes a container having an upper rim, a collar secured to the upper rim, and a cap removably attached to the collar. The collar may be rotatably secured to the container such that when the cap is rotated, the cap and collar rotate together about the rim of the container without detaching. The cap may enclose an actuator or pump of the container preventing inadvertent dispensing of the contents as well as rendering the container more tamper resistant. Each of the cap and collar includes various features to interlock with one another. In one variation, the cap includes at least one tooth which engages a slot or an opening in the collar to achieve locking. The cap may be rotated or snap fit into place depending on the variation. Caps that are directly mountable to a rim of a container are also disclosed.
Abstract: A method for managing genuine characteristics of both an electronic document and a print medium comprising: a step for recognizing image data contained in the electronic document; a step for applying an extraction condition of an image feature previously determined and must be considered to the recognized image data to calculate a coordinate set corresponding to a pixel or a set of pixels, constituting the image feature; a step for recognizing at least a coordinate value among coordinate values and pixel color values, corresponding to each of coordinates constituting the coordinate set, and for embedding the recognized coordinate value as a code of a digital watermark into the pixel or the pixel set, constituting the image feature, or into an area in the vicinity; and a step for outputting the electronic document where the digital watermark embedding process operation has been carried out to the print medium.
Abstract: The method includes forming an isolation film on a silicon substrate to define an active region; forming an antireflective film on an entire surface of the substrate containing the isolation film; forming a photosensitive film pattern on the antireflective film while exposing a portion of the isolation film or the active region adjacent to the isolation film; etching the antireflective film, the isolation film, and the substrate by using the photosensitive film pattern as an etching mask to recess the active region; performing a light etch treatment on a substrate resultant without removing the remaining photosensitive film pattern, so as to remove a damaged layer and a carbon pollutant formed on a surface of the recessed active region; and removing the remaining photosensitive film pattern and the antireflective film.
Abstract: The flow machine is furnished with an abradable (10) made of a particle composite material. This so-called composite (1) contains granular core particles (2) of a ceramic material. The surfaces (20) of the granular core particles carry functional layers (22) which form an intermediate phase of the composite which is stable at a high operating temperature. The intermediate phase in this process has been produced in situ at least in part by a chemical reaction of a precursor material (22?) and material (21) of the granular core particles on the particle surfaces (20). Bonds (23) are formed between the granular core particles arranged in a porous composite by the intermediate phase. These bonds have a breaking characteristic for abradables.
