Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to automatically generate a custom integrated circuit (IC) described by a computer readable code or model. The IC has one or more timing and hardware constraints. The system extracts parameters defining the processor architecture from a static profile and a dynamic profile of the computer readable code; iteratively optimizes the processor architecture by changing one or more parameters of the architecture in a hierarchical manner until all timing and hardware constraints expressed as a cost function are met using an architecture optimizer (AO); and synthesizes the generated processor architecture into a computer readable description of the custom integrated circuit for semiconductor fabrication.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for actively all-to-all exchanging messages in a large group of individuals, comprising accumulating messages from individuals in at least one hub, processing and reorganizing accumulated messages and their groups into short representations of the messages, and selectively actively delivering short representations according to a distribution pattern found as a maximum of a goodness function. Processing and reorganizing accumulated messages into short representations, that is summarization, is performed by constraining the stream of messages to a hierarchical stream format, having a hierarchy of messages linked by a directional parent-child relationship, and iteratively replacing the parent messages in such hierarchy with a representative message chosen among all children of that message.

Abstract: An apparatus for use when applying a compound from a dispensing tube comprises: a receptacle; a plurality of retaining rings mechanically coupled to the receptacle for attaching the apparatus to the dispensing tube; an application blade secured within the receptacle for contacting the compound being dispensed during application; optionally, a handle mechanically coupled on an opposite side of the receptacle from the plurality of retaining rings; and, optionally, at least one retaining clip for securing at least one of the plurality of retaining rings around a nozzle tip of the dispensing tube. Such apparatus and related methods facilitate initial application of the compound in an evenly distributed and desired topographical manner without requiring subsequent smoothing and/or shaping steps after contact of the compound with a surface to which it is applied.
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to automatically detect the presence of a substance on a test swipe by capturing a background image of the test swipe; applying one or more test chemicals to a test swipe; adjusting the temperature of the test swipe to a predetermined temperature range; capturing an in-situ image of the test swipe after the application of chemical at the predetermined temperature range; subtracting the background image from the in-situ image; generating a difference value from the two images; and searching a known database to identify the substance.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to automatically synthesize a custom integrated circuit by encoding architecture level knowledge in a data model to generate and pass new constraints for physical synthesis of a chip specification uniquely customized to computer readable code. The system receives a look-ahead cost function during architecture optimization consistent with cost observed later in the flow after detailed physical synthesis is performed. The look-ahead cost function is generated from a prior iteration and supplied to a subsequent iteration through the data model.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for supporting a personal electronic device are provided. The device incorporates a support frame structure comprised of three legs. A vertical leg is attached to a shoulder strap, while the horizontal legs are attached to a chest strap. A lower joint is located between the two horizontal legs and this lower joint is also attached to an electronic device support leg. The electronic device support leg is attached to the lower joint and also to a ball joint at the end opposite the lower joint. In use, the lower joint allows for the electronic device to be moved into a viewing position at a desired angle. The ball joint allows rotation of the device between portrait and landscape orientations. A case may also be attached to the electronic device support leg to contain the personal electronic device.
Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a first transistor layer and a second transistor layer overlaying the first transistor layer, wherein said first transistor layer comprises a plurality of flip-flops each having a selectively coupleable additional input generated by said second transistor layer.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed to detect current for an output load with an inductor. The system includes a high side power transistor a low side power transistor coupled to the high side power transistor; and a controller coupled to the high and low side power transistors to provide cycle by cycle conduction of the low side power transistor, said controller adaptively turning off the low side power transistor when the high and low side power transistors are off and an inductor current is non-positive. Adaptation of the turn off of the low side transistor is based on the time position of the detection of the non-positive inductor current and serves to improve the power efficiency of the system.
