Abstract: A method is delineated for detecting and locating coronary artery and heart disease comprising the steps of obtaining electrocardiograph (EKG) signals from a patient, modifying the EKG signals, and establishing a base value for use in evaluating modified EKG signals. The step of modifying includes the steps of amplifying the EKG signals, digitizing amplified EKG signals, mathematically modifying the amplified and digitized EKG signals to obtain 12 lead signals in the time domain, and converting the 12 lead signals into power spectrum signals in the frequency domain. The base value is obtained by taking a patient's resting heart rate in beats per minute, converting it to beats per second, and multiplying by a scaling quantity between approximately 3 and 7, inclusively. Then, a first area is calculated by integrating a selected one of the power spectrum signals from zero Hertz to the base value.
Abstract: A method used in fabricating processes of display modules with various sizes for checking positions of tape automated bonding (TAB) regions on said display modules is provided. The method includes steps of providing a main holder having a holding panel with a size sufficient for suiting the display modules, providing at least two test plates, wherein the test plates and the holding panel have the same peripheral sizes, and the test plates respectively have a hollow portion for suiting the display modules, providing two circuit plates respectively disposed around the first and second hollow portions for suiting the positions of the tape automated regions, and selecting a test plate having a suitable hollow portion for a specific circuit plate and a display module with a specific size in the fabricating process of the display module with the specific size.
Abstract: A zero voltage, zero current switching power factor correction converter includes a boost unit including a first switch, a second switch and a resonant circuit at least having two energy storage elements, wherein the resonant unit is operatively configured to alternatively discharge electric energy from one of the energy storage elements to a load, a boost unit having a boost choke for receiving an AC voltage, a rectifying circuit coupled between the boost choke and the resonant unit, a third switch and a fourth switch respectively connected across one of the energy storage elements, and a power factor correction controller for respectively enabling the first switch and the second switch to turn on and off when a current flowing through the first switch is zero and a current flowing through the second switch is zero, and respectively enabling the third switch and the fourth switch to turn on and off when a voltage across the third switch is zero and a voltage across the fourth switch is zero.

The power cord securing device includes a rotatable plate having a first part for being wound by the power cord, and a resilience element having a first terminal and a second terminal respectively connected to a second part and a third part of the rotatable plate. When the power cord is stretched, the rotatable plate is forced to rotate in a first direction and allow the resilience element to result in an counterforce, and when the counterforce is relieved, the rotatable plate rotates in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
Abstract: The invention concerns a piezo lighter incorporating a child safety mechanism. The mechanism relates to an activation button and a flipper, which is either pivotally secured or integrally formed with the activation button. The safety mechanism includes a stopper on the activation button, which limits the downward movement of the activation button. The activation button translates downward sufficiently to operate the fuel-release lever opening the fuel-discharge valve. However, in order to activate the piezoelectric unit, the flipper must also be depressed a further distance than the activation button and rotated about a button axis to generate a spark to ignite the fuel released by the fuel-release lever and fuel-discharge valve.

Abstract: A utility lighter (1) with an ignition-resistant mechanism. The ignition-resistant function is performed by a cam mechanism (60) having a hub (61). The hub has three integral projections: the cam lever (80), the fuel-release lever (70), and the return spring (90). Integral to the cam lever is the safety button (120) which when depressed disengages the cam lever (80) from the stopper tab (110) of the trigger (100). The trigger (100) also has an inclined surface (111) below the stopper tab (110) which the cam lever (80) engages after the safety button (120) is depressed and the trigger (100) is pulled. Once the trigger (100) is pulled, the cam lever (80) moves along the inclined surface (111) rotating the cam mechanism (60). When the cam mechanism (60) is rotated the fuel-release lever (70) opens the fuel-release valve (31) allowing fuel to transfer through to the lighting rod (16).

Abstract: A method for preparing a barium fluorotitanate (BaTiF6) powder and depositing a barium titanate (BaTiO3) thin film on a silicon wafer is disclosed. The method includes steps of a) producing a barium fluorotitanate powder by mixing a hexafluorotitanic acid solution and a barium nitrate solution at a low temperature, b) dissolving the barium fluorotitanate powder into water and mixing with a boric acid solution, and c) immersing a silicon wafer into the mixture at a low temperature to grow a barium titanate thin film on the silicon wafer.
Abstract: The present invention herein is a disc shaped wing comprised two disc segments, an inner disc assembly and an outer disc assembly, that counter-rotate to enable vertical take off and landing. The inner disc assembly has a plurality of flap blades that open to provide lift during take off and landing and close to provide a substantially contiguous surface during horizontal flight. The outer disc assembly has a plurality of lower blades that contain retractable blades. During take off and landing the retractable blades extend to provide added lift and stability. The wing shape and counter-rotation also imparts greater stability and lift for horizontal flight.
