    Abstract: A cassette blind with a weighting profile at the lower end of a set of blinds and a blind drive, in which coupling elements with a winding shaft mounted in the cassette profile. Complementary coupling elements with a drive member and complementary coupling elements at a pin which can be stationarily fastened are arranged, wherein coupling elements of the drive member and of the winding shaft mutually engage each other during a rotary movement of the drive member in the winding-up direction of the blinds, and coupling elements of the winding shaft and of the pin mutually engage each other in the opposite direction. The coupling elements at the winding shaft are arranged rotatably over a predetermined angle against spring action in the winding-up direction of the blinds in order to achieve a torsionally elastic tensioning of the weighting profile at the cassette profile at the end of the winding-up movement of the blinds.

One end of the insulating body has an opening to receive the lamp bulb. Another end of the body is combined with a bottom cover having a wire slot, a copper contact sheet insertion hole and a bottom cover passing hole. The bottom cover has a stay with a reversed hook. One end of copper contact sheet has a taper portion and the another end has a contact portion. The copper contact sheet is arranged and fixed in the insertion hole. The taper portion is fixed in the wire slot, and the contact portion extended to the opening of the body of the lamp bulb. The insulating wire is placed within the wire slot of the body. The taper portion is pierced into the insulating cover of wire and contacted with several copper wires within the wire. The bottom cover presses the wire into the wire slot and the reversed hook fixes the bottom cover on the body.

    Abstract: A multistep spindle drive is provided for converting a rotary movement into a linear movement with different speeds of withdrawal and extension. The spindle drive includes at least two threaded spindles, which telescopically mesh with each other and are in threaded connection with one another, and a nut. The inner threaded spindle is connected to a crank, and the nut is connected to a support wheel via a pipe. The internal threaded connection existing between the threaded spindles has a smaller diameter and a lower pitch than the external threaded connection existing between the outer threaded spindle and the nut. The speeds of withdrawal and extension are changed over based on the greater frictional force. A friction-increasing coupling member is arranged between the threaded spindles. The coupling member is spring-loaded and can be set for changing the friction.

    Abstract: A method of aligning a bi-refringent optical fiber with a polarisation sensitive component positioned within a package so that the bi-refrigence axes of the fiber are set in a pre-defined relation to a light guide within the component. The fiber is inserted through an aperture in the package and is approximately aligned with the light guide of the component. An optical probe having a tip provided with an optical polariser is positioned with the tip between the end of the fiber and the component, to collect light from the fiber. The free end of the fiber is manipulated and the output from the probe is monitored until the desired polarisation alignment is achieved whereafter the probe is removed from the package whilst the rotational relationship between the fiber and the component is maintained. Then, the fiber end is moved to optically couple wish the component and the fiber is secured in position. The package may thereafter be completed in the usual way.

This obviates the need for the complicated laying of prior art wired connections between the control unit and the regulating device of the auxiliary vehicle heater, making the heater particularly suitable for subsequent fitting in commercial vehicles.
