  • Patent number: 5895886
Abstract: A supply unit for supplying a workplace with electricity and/or gaseous media, with a first, vertically extending supply duct and a second, vertically extending supply duct, wherein the electricity and the media are led to connections on at least one of the supply ducts. From these connections the workplace is supplied and improved such that the ergonomically most favorable arrangement of the supply tubes and electric lines leading to the connections will be possible. This object is accomplished by a section of the side surfaces having an angle of inclination less than 90.degree. in relation to the base such that the ends of the side surfaces pointing away from the base can be connected at a common junction. The connections are arranged exclusively on the outer side surfaces and that the distance between the supply ducts is such that the workplace can be brought into the space between the supply ducts.

  • Patent number: 5893710
Abstract: A fuel-operated heater, especially an auxiliary heater for a motor vehicle, with a fuel feed pump and/or with a combustion air fan, is provided with a combustion control circuit. The control circuit acts to maintain a predetermined air-to-fuel ratio at a constant value in the combustion chamber of the heater ("lambda value") by energizing the controllable fuel feed pump and/or the controllable combustion air fan.

  • Patent number: 5893482
Abstract: A rocker, which is pivotable for dispensing products and has a lower product support part, is arranged at the bottom of a product shaft in a product-dispensing device of a vending machine. To achieve trouble-free dispensing even in the case of bottles or cans made of a soft material, an upper product support part is formed by an attachment mounted tiltably on the rocker. A stop device, by which the rocker pivots the attachment with it, is provided between the rocker and the attachment. A free-running angle is provided between the rocker and the attachment.

  • Patent number: 5891083
Abstract: A compound, solution of carrier and the compound and a medical procedure is provided for suction lipolysis. The compound is preferably either one or more enzymes and/or emulsifying agents and/or detergents which digest or dissolve fat in the subcutaneous tissues. Both enzymes which degrade fats and emulsifying agents can be used according to the invention. The carrier is preferably a saline solution. A suction lipolysis procedure is provided including the steps of providing a biological and/or chemical compound which digests or dissolves fat in the subcutaneous tissues. The compound is dissolved into a saline solution and/or is suspended in a saline solution. The combination compound and saline solution is then heated to the body temperature (temperature of the patient or subject). The compound and saline solution including the compound is then injected into the subcutaneous tissue. Liposuction is then performed (suction lipectomy).

  • Patent number: 5892922
Abstract: A VLAN memory access system to provide VLAN address table look-ups with the ability to simultaneously do processor read cycles or processor write cycles to the same memory structure with anatomical accesses. The system encompasses the interaction between a memory look-up table that stores the slot allowed transition bit mask for a multi-slot hub based VLAN switch, a switch processor interface that is used to upgrade the memory access table by writing entries into the table or reading the table to verify its contents, and a look-up processor that uses the VLAN table to make forwarding decisions on the destination of a packet based on the value read from the VLAN memory look-up table. The VLAN table accesses must be arbitrated between the look-up processor, which has the highest priority, and read or write accesses from the switch processor. The look-up processor takes the VLAN ID field of a packet and uses this as the address of the slot allowed transmit bit mask to be applied to the destination slot bit mask.

  • Patent number: 5890304
Abstract: A level boom is provided for a piece of strip mining equipment traveling on caterpillar-type chassis, which piece of equipment is temporarily moved on oblique roadways during operation. The position of the boom in relation to the skeletal structure is corrected with simple means. A piece of strip mining equipment with a boom, which can be lifted and lowered and at the free end of which, e.g., a bucket wheel for picking up a load is arranged, is connected to the substructure of the piece of equipment in a pivot axis. The lifting movement is brought about by a lifting cylinder. A tilting support, which carries the boom, is arranged in the pivot axis for lifting and lowering the boom. A bolt connection is provided on one side in the pivot axis for leveling between the tilting support and the boom, and the actuating element for leveling as well as a step bearing for absorbing lateral forces which the actuating element is unable to absorb, are located on the other side.

  • Patent number: 5888614
Abstract: A house wrap film product includes a laminated poly film with a first poly film ply and a second poly film ply and micropuncture formed in the laminated poly film to allow vapor transmission from a first side of the laminated poly film to a second side of the laminated poly film. Each of the poly plies is formed of a spiral cut film having a first ply with a first orientation and a second ply having a second orientation, the first orientation being at an angle with respect to an edge of said film and said second orientation being at an angle with respect to an edge of said film, said first ply and said second ply being laminated together cross oriented such that said first orientation extends in a different direction from said second orientation. The micropuncture provides a deformed region of said film, surrounding said hole. A method is provided for forming the house wrap product.

  • Patent number: 5889195
Abstract: A measuring arrangement for determining the concentration of gases dissolved in a liquid is proposed, which has a simple design and makes possible the use of known gas-measuring apparatus based on color reaction tubes or color reaction capillaries. A preferably flexible tube-like body is provided which is formed of a material that is permeable to the gases to be measured but is impermeable to the liquid. A carrier gas flows on the inside of this body and the body is connected to the gas-measuring apparatus upstream in the direction of the gas flow. The semipermeable material is preferably microporous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
